Volume 1 Chapter 15: The Artiste Company Robbery Case
Pang Guang stood at the door of Lin Junyun's room, his scalp numb, and it took him half a day to come back to his senses: "What is this, do you think I'm dead? Okay, since you let me take my time, finding my phone is important. Anyway, finding my own things isn't against the law. Once I find my phone, don't even mention 3000 yuan, not a single hair will be left." He glanced around and started searching through boxes and cabinets.
Unfortunately, after searching for half a day, apart from the old-fashioned TV and single-door refrigerator, he couldn't find anything that needed electricity to work.
"I'm so stupid, she must know I came for something related to the phone, how could she not be on guard against me? It was probably a waste of time earlier." Pang Guang busied himself scratching his head and ears, then carefully examined every nook and cranny again before giving up. His actions even made him laugh at himself. Since Lin Junyun had intentionally left him alone outside, if the phone were in the room, she wouldn't have casually left herself unattended. After sitting down, he suddenly felt parched and went to find a cup to pour water into. After searching for half a day, he finally found a disposable cup, but when he picked up the water bottle, he discovered it was empty. Pang Guang flung the cup into the trash can in frustration. Suddenly remembering Lin Junyun's mention of drinks in the fridge, his face lit up with a smile. With ease, Pang Guang retrieved a bottle of Japanese soda from the fridge, whose label had some characters he could read and others he couldn't. After studying it for a while, he couldn't figure out what it meant, so he chuckled, twisted off the cap, and took a light sip: "Whatever, as long as it's not soy sauce, I'm good."
The soda had a bit of sweetness to it, he thought it was quite refreshing to drink, and so in three or five gulps, he drank the whole thing. After belching loudly, his stomach felt cool and refreshed, that feeling was extremely comfortable, but before he could even properly savor it, a strong drowsiness suddenly hit him, followed by a blank mind, and he felt like everything around him was spinning rapidly.
Pang Guang clutched his forehead in agony, muttering to himself: "This is bad, I've been poisoned! No wonder she was so fearless about leaving herself in the hall, turns out she had already dug a hole for me to jump into. How stupid of me!" Pang Guang struggled to keep himself upright and stumbled towards Lin Junxian's room: "You treacherous woman, even if I die, you'll have to accompany me to my grave."
At the same time when Pang Guang was suspected of being ambushed, a robbery occurred nearby. A knife-wielding thief followed an artist manager's company administrative director into the office area and robbed him. Since it was already after work hours, there were no other people around, and Zhao Hanquan was very cooperative, so the thief did not bother him. The thief only took several hundred yuan in cash from Zhao and escaped.
Afterwards, Zhao Hankui felt more and more that something was not right, thinking that he couldn't tolerate the villainy, so he reported to the police. He didn't expect that such a small case would eventually shock the Director of Public Security Bureau.
After receiving the alarm, two police officers rushed to the scene and made a rough inquiry. They fed back the suspect's clothing and appearance characteristics to the command center while searching for clues in the vicinity. The suspect's whereabouts did not escape the "electronic eyes" all over the streets and alleys, and the command center quickly locked down the suspect's location.
"In the command center, Li Kezhang of the Criminal Investigation Division picked up the walkie-talkie in his hand: 'Old Liu, the hijacker is riding a motorcycle with license plate number bx1301 heading west on Dongfeng Street from east to west, hurry over and catch him.'"
"Received!" The two police officers on duty responded with one sentence, preparing to drive to Dongfeng Street. The intercom transmitted Li's low voice again: "Old Liu, you'd better wait a bit, I still need to confirm something."
"Received!" The two police officers handling the case stopped the car and waited for Director Li's next instructions.
Li Kechang was also in a dilemma at this moment. He was all too familiar with this license plate number. Just a few days ago, Pang Ju bought a motorcycle and, due to being busy, asked Li Kechang to handle the registration for him. After completing it, he even called Pang Ju to ask if he was satisfied with the license plate number.
"What's going on?" Director Li felt his head was about to explode, he pinched the phone for a long time and finally decided to report to Bureau Chief Pang first before making further decisions.
In the Dongcheng District, a uniformed police officer, Pang Da Hu, was pacing back and forth. He didn't know why, but his left eyelid kept twitching, as if something was going to happen. Sure enough, he had guessed it right. Just after 8 pm, Li Kezhang from the Investigation Department of the Bureau called him saying that in the evening, the manager of Shuguang Art Company was robbed by thieves on a motorcycle, and the motorcycle was the one Pang Da Hu had just bought a few days ago. He was hesitant and didn't know what to do next, so he called to ask for instructions.
Pang Da Hu leapt up from the sofa, and the motorcycle that Officer Gan was talking about was the one he had personally helped Pang Guang choose a few days ago.
He hesitated for a moment and calmly instructed Director Li: "Continue to closely monitor the surveillance videos of each point, and must crack the case as soon as possible."
After everything was arranged, Pong Datou started dialing Pong Guang's mobile phone, and the system prompt indicated that it had been turned off.
"This stinky kid has really done something, and it's not small either." Pang Dahu threw his phone aside, rubbing his head in pain, filled with regret.
After a while, Pang Dahu picked up his mobile phone and quickly flipped through the address book to find the school's phone number. The teacher on duty at the school happened to be Pang Guang's English teacher. After listening to Pang Dahu's description, she remembered that during class, she heard Pang Guang tell Liu Xiao that after school, he would go visit Lin Junyong who was ill.
"Mr. Pang, don't worry, there's a classmate who should know where Pang Guang is, I'll ask for you." The English teacher was also anxious.
Half an hour later, Pang Da Hu, the English teacher, the instructor, and Liu Xiao rushed to Lin Jun Yun's home in a hurry.
"Is anyone home? Open the door for me quickly." Pang Datou knocked impatiently on the big gate.
After a long time, there was no movement inside. Suddenly, a shrill female voice came from behind: "Ah sir, is there something?" The speaker was Kong Yue Mei, Lin Jun Yun's mother.
