Episode 6: A Late Encounter

  Chapter 6: Regrettable Late Encounter

When we meet, it's either too late or too early.

  Zhang Xiaoyan

These days the temperature is very high, the air conditioner in the classroom is turned down enough, and the cold air makes the glass drop water droplets, like non-stop dripping sweat beads, like unstoppable tears, over and over again, can't be wiped clean.

Sunlight shines through the half-open curtains, casting a slanting beam on the desk and reflecting off the book. The teacher is speaking passionately on the podium, while the students below are drowsy. What a boring class. Taking advantage of the tall physique of the boy in front, Han Yue listened to just the beginning before propping up her book and closing her eyes to sleep.

You must be very tired, sleeping so soundly. Your breathing is slow, with a smile at the corner of your mouth, and your long eyelashes are slightly trembling in the sunlight. Your head, propped up by one hand, slowly starts to tilt as you sleep. Jing Rong smiles and gently moves over to let Han Yue lean against him, not daring to wake her. Looking at Han Yue sleeping so peacefully, he feels a sense of satisfaction rising in his heart.

The example questions were almost finished, and Jing Hui couldn't help but be shocked again when he looked at Han Yue.

Han Yue's breathing was getting more and more urgent, her face was getting paler and paler, her eyelashes with tears were trembling non-stop, and her whole body was slightly shaking.

Did she have a nightmare? Should he wake her up? Jing Yue hesitated for a moment. Just as he decided to wake Han Yue, his outstretched hand was about to touch her when Han Yue's tightly closed eyes suddenly opened. Jing Yue stared blankly at Han Yue, momentarily forgetting words, and only managed a stiff smile.

The moment the cold moon opened its eyes, it thought that its brother had returned. Jing Zheng was smiling at her, and Han Yue was stunned for a long time, wanting to call him "brother". But it's impossible to make such a mistake again. She sat up stupidly, and the scene was like before, the same dream, repeating the same scene over and over again, but suddenly Han Yue didn't want to cry anymore.

Jing Hao pushed his notes over, and Han Yue only then remembered that she had been leaning against him when she woke up, and couldn't help but blush. Without lifting her head, she softly said thank you.

"Mr. Tong, please come up and solve the problem on the blackboard." The teacher's voice suddenly rang out. It seems that after finishing the passionate explanation, he finally discovered that the situation below was very bad.

Han Yue looked up at the blackboard, where a difficult calculus problem was written. Han Yue frowned, really not wanting to spend all her time on these classes. Coming to class was originally just for show, it seems that in the future she will have to choose a seat in the back of the classroom.

Jing Wei slightly furrowed his brow and stood up, saying: "Teacher, I'll answer."

Teacher frowned: "Jinghao, look at her expression, she should understand. Let us see the prowess of this comrade."

Everyone can hear the sarcasm in these words. Han Yue knew that the teacher had found out that she hadn't been attending classes and was intentionally making things difficult for her. Ye Hua Yi is one of the top professors at school, his class is very strict, either you don't take his class or if you do, you have to be serious about it.

Han Yue saw Lai Huo Ling, who was giving her a sympathetic expression and a thumbs up. She smiled back at Jing Yi, giving him a reassuring smile. She walked onto the stage without a hint of nervousness.

Don't you want to be a bit more tense? Don't you just admit your mistake? Don't you want to solve this problem?

  Noisy, no mood for performance.

Jing Hao watched as Han Yue confidently walked onto the stage, still smiling as if nothing had happened earlier. What was her purpose for coming here? Why did he feel that Han Yue's bright and clear eyes were often shrouded in a thin layer of mist, filled with sadness and confusion that lingered on.

"Jinghao, your task is to report her situation to me."

  "Surveillance? I refuse!"

  "I couldn't refuse, I think you're the most suitable."

Recalling the conversation with the dean, Jing's heart grew more and more annoyed, filled with a sense of guilt. Looking up, the solution process on the blackboard slowly appeared before his eyes. Obviously, no one had been paying attention in class, and even if they had, it would have been difficult to understand, and... Han Yue's method seemed not to be the one the teacher had just taught, nor was it part of their sophomore curriculum.

Jing Hui and others looked at Han Yue with a surprised and puzzled gaze as she put down her chalk.

Ye Hua looked at the solution process with great satisfaction and surprise, smiling: "Not bad, you have a few moves. In the future, you can't sleep in my class, huh? What's your name, I haven't seen you before, didn't you choose another course before?"

Han Yue smiled slightly: "My name is Han Yue, I just transferred to Sheng Kai not long ago."

  "Didn't she attend class?"

"It's just that I clearly saw her sleeping all along."

"Wow, London is really something else."

"The courses should be different, it should have ended over there."

The students were still discussing, Ye Hua suddenly came back to her senses and quickly gathered up the textbooks: "Everyone first write down the solution process, don't understand will ask next time in class. Today is here, class dismissed!" After finishing, she hastily walked out of the classroom.

The class ended early and everyone cheered, then they packed up their things and left the classroom.

Han Yue was packing her things to leave when Jing Hui stopped her. Han Yue turned around and smiled: "No matter what you want to ask, I just want to tell you that I will only stay here for a short time, probably not too long before I go back." Han Yue playfully winked at him, "I'm only telling you, don't tell anyone else, okay? I have something to do, see you later."

  "Hey, why tell him?"

  Because he is Jingyuan.

But he is not my brother.

He is just like an older brother.

Jing Huan was stunned. Would he be back soon? A string of questions swirled in his mind. He furrowed his brow, hesitated for a moment, and quietly followed him. He didn't mean to, but suddenly wanted to figure it out.

One corner of the playground was quiet, and Han Yue sat on a stone bench in the woods waiting. After a while, the person she was waiting for still hadn't arrived, so Han Yue opened her notebook. It really was strict, having promised to take it easy for a bit, but not being able to fall behind with homework at all.

The Su brothers walked slowly downstairs in the corridor.

"Yi Xiang, Dad, now that we're going back, is there something?"

Su Yi Xiang shook his head, suddenly slapped his forehead: "Ah! Brother, wait for me for a moment, I have something to do, I'll be right back."

Su Yi Tian watched Su Yi Xiang hurry towards the playground, with nothing to do, he went up to the rooftop.

"Sorry, almost forgot." Su Yi Xiang said with a grin, "What's up? You're staring at me like that, you want to ask me out?"

Han Yue gave him a slanted glance, shut down the computer, furrowed his brow slightly, and tilted his head as if in thought. A moment later, he looked at Su Yixiang with a faint smile: "You're overthinking."

"What's the matter with you looking for me?" Su Yixiang asked straightforwardly, he still had an urgent matter.

"Do you know anyone in the senior year of the art department?"

  "It's okay, what's up?"

"Help me investigate a person, Fine Arts student Han Yang. I don't want his basic information, what I want to know is what he usually does and who he associates with."

Sui Xiang saw Han Yue speak so directly and rudely, sizing up Han Yue with his hands crossed over his chest: "Why should I help you? What's in it for me?"

Han Yue pulled the corner of his mouth and said seriously: "Then set your conditions."

Seeing Han Yue being so serious, Su Yi Xiang couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed, and he curled up the corner of his mouth: "I can help you, but you have to agree to one condition."

  Han Yue nodded: "Go on."

Su Yi Xiang grasped his head: "The school's annual basketball tournament is about to start, our team has never won the championship before, you were amazing that day." Su Yi Xiang gestured, and as he spoke, his eyes shone brightly as he stared at Han Yue.

"Want me to help you win the game?" Han Yue looked at Su Yi Xiang with a smile. Misty Basketball, a basketball trick co-created by Xing and another person. Han Yue thought for a moment, "Alright, I'll help you. But let's just keep this between us, about investigating Han Yang."

"Han Yue, you're really okay!" Su Yi Xiang excitedly hugged Han Yue.

Han Yue stood still for a moment, then patted Su Yi Xiang's shoulder with her hand: "Su Yi Xiang, you really are like a kid, get excited and let me go."

"Ah! Sorry, I..." Ah, forgot that the person in front of me wasn't Lai Huo Ling's fake little brother, but a girl who had only met once. Su Yi Xiang's face was bright red as he waved his hand and ran away, "I still have things to do, see you later, guaranteed to complete the task."

If you hadn't been so cautious, you might have found out already.

This is school, be careful a bit better.

Han Yue left the playground muttering to himself. Su Yi Xiang was simple, but being simple didn't mean he was useless. At least he had a lot of connections in school and it was very convenient.

On the rooftop, Su Yitian withdrew his gaze that was looking into the distance and saw Su Xiang hurrying over. With an expressionless face, he turned around and went downstairs.

The people on the playground left, and Jing Yun walked out from behind the tree. He took out his mobile phone and dialed a number.

A few minutes later, Jing Yue adjusted his emotions and walked into the director's office. The person opposite turned around in their chair, a middle-aged man with elegance all over him. They were equally elegant and handsome, with seven-tenths similar faces having a pair of calm and gentle eyes.

"Today, Han Yue asked Sui Xiang to go and ask about Han Yang's situation."

"Su Yi Xiang?" The principal slightly furrowed his brow. Not being in the same class and having no intersection, how did they end up together? Seeing Su Yi Xiang means it's very likely that Ye Xue was also seen. In such a short time, is it really unavoidable? The principal looked up at Jing Rui. This kid originally didn't want to do that thing, since it's already like this, let him know anyway.

For a long time, Jingrui stood by the side of Weilian Lake, staring at the lotus leaves in a daze. He thought about his brief encounter with Han Yue, and how she had been stunned when they first met. He recalled how her eyes would suddenly open wide when she woke up. Finally, he understood where all those hidden sorrows came from.

That genius who painted himself has passed away, that mentor and friend, Han Yang, is no longer in this world! Han Yang, you're really gone, the news of going to England was actually a farewell forever!

Han Yang, I've seen Han Yue. Unfortunately, the timing is off, and I really don't know if it's a case of meeting too early or too late. Jing Rui closed his eyes, not wanting to think about it anymore.
