Episode 5 Unforgettable Memories

  The Fifth Episode Unforgettable

Memories have both pain and joy. The forgetting function of time seems to always lean towards joy, ignoring the pain, so pain is always hard to forget, and joy is always short-lived.

  Cold Moon

Standing by the window, Han Yue stared at the wind chime painting and thought of her brother's shell wind chime. She carefully took out a blue and white wind chime from her luggage and hung it on the windowsill. The collision of the shells brought thoughts and memories flooding into her heart.

"Brother, I'm back." Han Yue rushed into Han Yang's room as soon as she walked through the door.

Han Yang's smile was warm and gentle, filled with joy and nostalgia: "Xiao Yue is back, let me take a closer look, did you get used to it over there?"

"Hmm!" Han Yue glared at Han Yang, "It's not good, because with you and Mom and Dad gone to England, it's all your fault for not wanting to go with us!"

Han Xing followed behind and pushed the door open: "Demon girl, you've been spoiled by your brother since childhood, how come you still haven't changed now? It's really that as people grow up, their hearts don't."

Han Yue slapped him on the back of his head: "Brother, it's this guy who got us stuck and delayed our return until now."

Han Xing rubbed her head and stared at Han Yue: "This isn't rushing back, brother's birthday is today."

"Alright, you two stop arguing! Xiao Xing is very busy on the other side, I'm already happy that he can rush back from so far away." Han Yang walked to Han Xing's side and patted his shoulder.

Han Xing leaned on Han Yang's shoulder and smiled: "Exactly, you see how considerate brother is to me and how good he is to me, why can't you treat me the same way as you treat brother?"

Han Yue rolled her eyes at Han Xing and ignored him, walking closer to look at the things on the table. The table was filled with blue and white seashells, some of which were unprocessed, while others were shaped like snowflakes or suns. Next to them was a beautifully designed diagram.

Han Yang walked over and picked up the design drawings.

"Brother, no need to guard against me like this." Han Yue looked at Han Yang with a wronged expression, then smiled and said: "Brother, I heard from Dad and Mom that you seem to have a crush on someone. Is this wind chime going to be given to the legendary sister-in-law?"

Han Yang smiled and nodded, with a shy happiness on his face.

Han Xing immediately said: "It's rare to see brother with such an expression, it must be true."

"Brother, it's so beautiful! I want one too!"

Han Yang seemed embarrassed, awkwardly saying: "This won't do, I'll make another one to give you later. Ah... Mom is calling from downstairs, let's go, let's go, and have dinner." As he spoke, he pushed Han Yue and Han Xing out of the room.

Memories were interrupted by Han Yue. Han Yue touched the shell lightly. Last year when I saw this wind chime, it was still a joyful scene, but now people have left, and I really don't know why I'm keeping this shell wind chime. Han Yue stared at the wind chime, is it because it didn't get sent out in time? Thinking of my brother lying in a pool of blood while holding onto the shell, it was such a desperate scene.

Wait, brother was looking desperately ahead at that time, ahead... where was he looking?

  I don't know, I forgot.

Think carefully, maybe you can remember it.

  (Not... headache, don't 'force' me.)

The door was pushed open with great force, and Han Yue's whole body trembled. Her mind immediately cleared up. Without turning her head back, she knew it was Lai Huo Ling. Although they had not spent much time together, it was enough to understand Lai Huo Ling's personality.

Lai Huo Ling's personality is lively and pure, with a pair of bright eyes that can be said to be innocent and harmless. Ye Xue Mo, as far as I currently understand, the evaluation that can be given is that she is kind and considerate, gentle like an older sister, introverted but not dull. In short, being with them really feels comfortable and happy.

"Wow, what a beautiful wind chime!" Lai Huo Ling's eyes sparkled as she rushed forward, unable to resist fiddling with it. As she looked at it, Lai Huo Ling muttered to herself, "Huh, why do the sun and snowflakes have to be separated so clearly? Wouldn't it be better if they were mixed together nicely? This complete separation looks so stiff."

Han Yue's mind shook, and she finally understood why she felt something was off when looking at the wind chime earlier. It turned out that in the original design, the sun and snow 'flower' were indeed 'mixed' together. Why now... Han Yue couldn't figure it out, what reason would make her brother change it like this.

Huǒ Líng was excitedly ringing the wind chime, and Hán Yuè expressed some concern: "Huǒ Líng, be gentle, don't break it." Turning around to see Yè Xuě standing blankly by the door, she smiled and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing... Huo Ling, be gentle." Ye Xue came back to her senses and reminded him.

Han Yue shifted her gaze away from Ye Xue, a faint smile covering up the slight unease in her heart.

"Hey, Han Yue, don't tell me you're uneasy right now."

  You're annoying.

"Xiao Yue, don't worry, if you're at ease, I'll be at ease too. It's just like your affairs are my affairs, if you're not happy, I won't be joyful either... likewise, your wind chime..."

Han Yue and Ye Xue looked at Lai Huo Ling with a smile at the same time.

"Of course - it's still your wind chime." Lai Huo Ling deliberately dragged out the Beijing opera tone. Han Yue was amused by Lai Huo Ling.

"I didn't know you could smile like that!"

  "Huh?" Han Yue didn't understand.

Lai Huo Ling scratched her head: "You look like you're smiling every day, but I always feel a bit forced, the smile just now was great though."

The cold moon on her forehead suddenly felt a warmth, and for a moment she couldn't speak. It's really warm.

"Oh, I didn't expect you to be moved."

I will be influenced by you.

At night, Han Yue closed her eyes and forced herself to recall the scene that day. The cool night breeze blew on her face, and her mind was in a mess. What exactly had she overlooked that day?

Blood gushed out, spreading in all directions. The bright red blood turned from crimson to black, emitting a strong smell of rust. Brother lay in the pool of blood, Han Yue hugged brother at a loss, fresh blood soaked her snowy white long dress.

Brother! Brother...... Don't scare me, don't scare me. You mustn't get into trouble. Open your eyes and look at me...

He suddenly opened his eyes, and it was another nightmare, he had dreamed of it again. Having experienced countless such nightmares, each time he would be frightened awake like this, and every time he woke up with tears streaming down his face.

Han Yue sat up with a start, rubbing her forehead, and found Ye Xue standing by the window, the moonlight casting an icy silhouette of his back.

Han Yue walked quietly to Ye Xue's side and gently rang the wind chime. It seemed like an illusion, under the moonlight, when Ye Xue turned around to look at her, his face was unusually pale, and upon seeing Han Yue, he seemed extremely frightened.

"Are you all right? You're still awake now, aren't you feeling unwell?" asked Han Yue with concern.

Yexue gently patted her chest: "It's just that I couldn't sleep, and you suddenly spoke up and scared me. By the way, Xiaoyue, who gave you this wind chime? It's very beautiful."

Han Yue frowned: "It's not mine, my brother doesn't want it." It was indeed something her brother didn't want. Just thinking that her brother might have delayed going to England with them because he had a crush on a girl made Han Yue feel somewhat dissatisfied. But what was the point of being dissatisfied? No matter how much she complained, no one would listen anyway.

"Hey, how can you complain about your brother!"

  Am I wrong?

You're right, but he's my brother.

"Is it your brother's? Do boys like this too?"

"I specifically made it for my 'girlfriend', but now I don't need it." Han Yue blurted out in annoyance, and suddenly shivered at the moment she finished speaking. There was one thing that she had indeed overlooked. After her brother left, she had never seen the rumored sister-in-law, and her parents hadn't even mentioned it, so did she have something to do with that person? Although it was summer, Han Yue always felt a chill."

"It's late, go to sleep." Yexue saw Han Yue's expression was not right, pushed her back onto the bed and helped her cover with a quilt, gently rubbing her forehead and hair, "Sleep well."

Little sister, go to sleep quickly and stop making noise. Brother has been helping himself cover the quilt well since he was young, 'rubbing' his forehead and letting himself sleep well.

  Doesn't it feel very familiar?

  It's really tempting.

The cold moon turns around, letting tears flow in the dark night.
