Chapter 3: Airplane
Lin Fang is now rushing to catch a plane. He received Wang Zhuo's call as soon as he woke up early in the morning, asking him to rush to a place immediately. Lin Fang hurriedly rushed to the airport before 8 o'clock. The flight took off at 9:30. It takes at least an hour to get to the airport from Lin Fang's home.
Lin Fang paid for the taxi and rushed to the ticket office.
"Hello, I want a ticket for the fastest flight to Suzhou." Lin Fang panted, having run all the way from the taxi, his breathing still a bit urgent.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Lin Fang?" A very cute-looking staff member smiled at Lin Fang with a signature smile.
"Yes." Lin Fang was slightly puzzled, had Wang Zhuo arranged everything?
"This is your flight ticket, Mr. Wang has already called to arrange it. There are 40 minutes before the plane takes off, please hurry up with security check, Mr. Lin." The lovely girl reminded Lin Fang.
Lin Fang followed the direction of that lovely girl and found the security check location. There weren't many people in front, he looked at his watch, still 7 or 8 minutes left, enough time.
Not long after, the person in front of Lin Fang had passed by and it was now his turn.
Lin Fang was about to hand over his documents to the staff. Since Lin Fang had come lightly, without any luggage, he could wait for boarding after passing security checks.
There was a force pulling at Lin Fang's hem, causing his footsteps to pause.
Lin Fang was stunned for a moment, turned his head and saw a little girl.
"Little sister, what's wrong?" Lin Fang squatted down and looked at the little girl.
This little girl, about 7 years old, had two small braids, a very cute face, and what caught people's eyes were her extremely pure and kind eyes. She was also dressed in a very fashionable outfit, probably separated from her parents, Lin Fang thought.
"Big brother, where are you going, where did you come from." The little girl still held onto Lin Fang's clothes and wouldn't let go.
Lin Fang was stunned by the little girl's question in front of him and didn't know how to answer.
Just wanted to answer the little girl's question, but turned around and looked at that staff member, with a hint of impatience, probably thinking it was Lin Fang's child.
"Brother is going to Suzhou, from home, little sister, where are your parents?" Lin Fang casually answered the little girl's question, hoping to solve it quickly.
"Alright then, it's nothing. Big brother, you can go." The little girl heard Lin Fang's response and let go of the small hand that was grasping his clothes, walking away behind him.
Lin Fanggang wanted to ask her family about it, but the little girl quickly walked into the crowd and disappeared.
Patted his head, handed over his documents to the staff, and didn't think much about it anymore.
Lin Fang didn't have to wait too long, just 5 minutes had passed and he could board the plane. Since he had never taken a plane before, he wasn't clear about the details.
Looking at the structure of the entire plane from outside the boarding gate, it's no different from what I saw on the computer, and I won't take a closer look.
"Hello, miss, excuse me, where is my seat?" Lin Fang looked at the airplane ticket in his hand, couldn't understand the letters and numbers on it, so he asked the flight attendant.
"Sir, your seat is in the last section of the cabin, please head this way. Once you arrive, just ask our colleagues and they'll assist you." The flight attendant politely checked Lin Fang's boarding pass, then added, "After all, staff at such places should be very polite."
Lin Fang walked towards the tail of the plane, with rows of seats filled with people on both sides. They sat down really quickly. As he passed by a door, Lin Fang seemed to have sensed something and paused for a moment, then looked back, but there was no change.
Lin Fang felt that he was too nervous, possibly because of Wang Zhuo's phone call waking him up, which made him have some dream last night, but he completely didn't remember it, not even a hint of impression, and in vain he had made thorough preparations last night.
After Lin Fang walked through the door, he found that there were only two rows of seats here, one on each side, and a total of only 7 people. Lin Fang was the eighth person. There was also a flight attendant at the door. After Lin Fang handed over his plane ticket to her, she politely told him where his seat was and then turned around and walked out the door. The door closed after a while.
Lin Fang sat in his seat, feeling a bit bored, having woken up early and rushed to get there, now completely wide awake.
"Hello everyone." At this time, there was a display on the door, and a beautiful flight attendant appeared on it. Judging from the background, it should have been taken in the front cabin of the plane. Even planes have such things, Lin Fang was a little curious.
The flight attendant inside was just talking about some common sense on the plane, Lin Fang's curiosity had passed, and he began to look around at the people nearby. Lin Fang was sitting in the last seat of the left row, with 4 people in front of him, and 3 people on his right side.
Among them, three people are particularly eye-catching. The first is a man with a light and carefree expression, who is currently leaning back in his seat with his eyes closed, but his face is still tilted upwards, sitting in the front row of Lin Fang's section. The second is a person who always maintains a smile, as if no matter what happens, he will face it with a smile. Lin Fang feels that this person's smile is not pretentious, but a genuine attitude from the heart. He guesses that even if the plane were to crash now, this person would still not give up his smile, sitting in the first seat on the right side of the row.
The last person, Lin Fang didn't dare to look at him directly. He was a very calm person, not cold-blooded, but calm and collected. What caught people's attention the most were his eyes, peaceful and waveless, like an old well, as if nothing in the world could affect him, making him anxious or worried. The man seemed to have sensed Lin Fang's gaze, turned his head around, and met Lin Fang's eyes with a calm and peaceful expression, without any fluctuations, calmly looked at him for a moment, then calmly turned back.
Lin Fang and he exchanged a glance, feeling a bit awkward. It's like when you accidentally see someone else, it's a little embarrassing. He rubbed his cheek and didn't think about it anymore, as others didn't mind either.
The remaining people all had their own characteristics, they just weren't as eye-catching as those three. One was a child who looked about 15 or 16 years old, seemingly full of curiosity about the plane, constantly looking around since Lin Fang entered. Another one had his eyes closed, sitting quietly in his seat, Lin Fang hadn't seen him move once until now, or make any obvious movements, making Lin Fang suspect that he might be dead, if not for being seated in front of Lin Fang and being able to feel the breath of a living person, Lin Fang even thought about going forward to check.
The sixth person is very ordinary, if it weren't for the fact that everyone here has their own characteristics, this person would be completely unrecognizable in a crowd, with an ordinary appearance, ordinary demeanor, and movements, yet appearing not ordinary at all in this special group of people.
The last one was the last one in the row opposite Lin Fang, this person Lin Fang saw most clearly, and his impression had only one characteristic, timid. He wrapped his arms around his shoulders, his whole body trembling, and when the monitor lit up, he trembled even more obviously. When Lin Fang came in, he didn't even glance at Lin Fang, perhaps sensing Lin Fang's gaze, his trembling became even worse.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the plane is about to take off. Please fasten your seatbelts." The female voice echoed in the cabin, repeating three times, reminding everyone that the plane was about to take off.
A wave of pressure came immediately, Lin Fang felt a bit uncomfortable, but it was gone soon, although there was still some, but within the tolerable range.
Maybe he was too tired, Lin Fang gradually felt sleepy and slowly fell asleep.
It was unclear how much time had passed when Lin Fang was woken up by a voice.
"Wake up, wake up, something's wrong with the plane." It was a calm voice, but the words spoken were not calm.
Lin Fang vaguely woke up, and what he saw in his eyes was red light everywhere, indicating the current unrest. The flashing alarm lights and the uninterrupted alarm sounds indicated that this moment was not safe.
"What happened?" Lin Fang saw the person in front of him was still smiling, didn't know if it was good or bad, and that person indeed remained smiling just as Lin Fang had thought.
"I don't know what's going on, the alarm won't stop ringing and the door can't be opened, nobody is coming over." The smiling person said about the current situation.
"What are we going to do?" Lin Fang heard this and became a bit tense, after all, the plane had crashed, it was no laughing matter.
"There's a door behind Lin Fang's seat, I don't know when it opened." The smiling person pointed to a door behind Lin Fang's seat, which was indeed open, but seemed somewhat unusual.
Outside that door, only up and down have structure, both sides are without any objects, just like the space between train cars, but this is an airplane.
Lin Fang couldn't remember what the door was like before he came in, and as that smiling person said, the door had never been opened.
"What's going on, what's wrong with this plane, and why is the door so strange." Lin Fang said in terror, he could even feel the strong gust of wind blowing in, scraping against his exposed skin.
Lin Fang felt his hands trembling constantly, and a sticky feeling on his back.
"There are two things blowing in from the opposite side of the door, and on the door it says 'parachute' on the opposite side." The smiling person pointed to the opposite side of the door, and indeed there were two black, parachute-like objects blowing about.
Lin Fangqiang endured the trembling of his legs, holding onto the seat, and leaned forward. On the wall, there were indeed safety instructions, and on the opposite side of the door, there were indeed indications for parachutes.
"If we're going over there?" Lin Fang grasped the armrest, swallowed a mouthful of saliva, and looked at the empty passageway on both sides.
"It should be, we have to go through this passage." The smiling person's smile also seemed to decrease a bit at this time.
Lin Fang's whole body was paralyzed in his seat, at this moment it seemed as if he could hear the sound of his own heartbeat, and his palms were all sweaty.
The smiling person didn't say a word, just stood beside Lin Fang, staring at that door with a smile.
Lin Fang closed his eyes, but the uninterrupted alarm sounds and the constantly flashing red lights still reached his ears, and through his eyelids, he could still see the intense flashes.
Opening his eyes, he suddenly realized that there was more than just the smiling person here. He stood up with the help of the armrest, but this glance made Lin Fang even more terrified.
Everyone was just like before nothing different happened.
The madman opened his eyes, staring at the strange door with a look of madness. Lin Fang only saw madness, disdain and contempt in his eyes, without a hint of fear or tension. This was not an act, as evidenced by the man's still trembling legs, proving that he was not pretending.
The apathetic ones continued to be apathetic, while the curious ones curiously stared at that door. None of them showed any signs of tension, fear or anxiety.
Lin Fang was frightened again by the things in front of him, and he sat paralyzed in his seat. This time, both feet felt completely powerless, and even his arms couldn't be lifted. The eerie door here was terrifying, but what's even more terrifying was this group of people, who didn't have any normal human appearance at all.
That's right, the timid person, because the smiling person was always in between Lin Fang and that person, blocking Lin Fang's line of sight, making it impossible for Lin Fang to see the weak person. With great difficulty, he turned his head towards the timid person.
"Ah, okay, there's still a relatively normal one." Lin Fang saw that the person was even more timid, shrinking into his body, burying his head between his legs, and trembling violently.
Lin Fang looked towards the opposite side of the door again, behind that door, only a glimpse of the scene could be seen, it seemed to be a seat-like shape, those two black things, extending from who-knows-where, seemed like the god of death was beckoning them, this group of people.
Everyone's choices are different, every moment is making a choice, or being chosen.
