Chapter Twenty-Two Encounter
(1)
Madam Zhen has been in a very good mood these past two days, and everyone who sees her says she looks ten years younger. Although she knows it's all just flattery, Madam Zhen is still feeling pleased with herself.
Yu Chen's body was found near the Fourth Bridge a few days ago. Although it was unexpected that Yu Chen would run so far in a state of confusion, fortunately everything went as she had expected and she can now proceed with her next plan.
"The forensic doctor sent by the Provincial Public Security Department has conducted an autopsy and it is indeed Yu Chen." Zhen Tianqi was browsing the news online, pointing to the big headline on the webpage, "The report has already been released."
Zhen's aunt narrowed her eyes and looked at the computer screen, which was the homepage of W City Daily. The headline read that the sole legal heir of real estate tycoon had committed suicide, and the inheritance rights had fallen into the hands of outsiders.
"I'm sure everyone in the city knows that the inheritance of the Yu family has fallen into our hands." Zhen Tianqi covered her mouth and laughed a few times, "Now it's just missing sister."
"Let's start today." Zhen Yi calculated the date, "It's been two years since Xiaoyu has been living in her dream. This time it was you who implanted the dream, everything is normal, but be careful not to make any mistakes."
Zhen Tianqi cast her gaze back at the screen, her pale face taking on a slightly greenish hue from the glow of the computer monitor. "I'm not a rookie at dream-implanting, what could possibly go wrong? Don't worry, sister is already being tormented in her dreams to the point of losing her mind, and her suicidal tendencies are getting more severe by the minute."
The only source of light in the dimly lit room was the computer in front of Zhen Tianqi, on which there was a picture of a corpse that had been soaked in water and lost its original appearance. Two people were smiling softly under the halo of light.
A public telephone booth on the street, someone is making a call.
"Send someone over tomorrow," the man said, "that's it."
He looked around and then put on his hat, strolling leisurely out of the phone booth.

Xiao Ke put down the phone, with a moment of confusion.
She hastily put on her coat and walked out quickly. It was already mid-November, the weather in the north had completely cooled down, especially at night, wearing only a woolen coat was not enough to keep warm. Xiao Ke smoothed out her hair which was blown into a mess by the wind, wrapped her clothes tightly around her and ran to a convenience store outside the residential area.
The wind chime rang softly, and Xiao Ke walked into the store with a smile to the shop assistant, then headed towards the rows of shelves. She frowned as she scanned the complex goods, pointing her finger at each item in search.
Sunglasses, hat, mask, binoculars, small recorder... She stood there with these things in her arms, feeling bewildered again. What kind of job was this? Just now, Lu Ya called to say she needed to go to a residential area tomorrow night for surveillance - of course, Lu Ya's original words were much more gentle and roundabout, but after thinking about it, she felt that the task Mr. Yu had given her was really giving her psychological obstacles.
Who is the resident of that house? What's his relationship with Mr. Yu? Lu Ya didn't say, and she didn't dare to ask either.
Nothing will go wrong, right? Xiao Ke took a deep breath and shook his head fiercely. There's still half a month before school starts, and he won't do it once school begins. At worst, he'll just have to work part-time to pay back the remaining 1,500 yuan to Mr. Yu. Although Mr. Yu seemed rough and unrefined at first glance, judging from how worried he was about Young Master Yu, he didn't seem like an unreasonable person.
She nodded and agreed, and it was settled like this.
The shop assistant sister looked at the big pile of things she brought over, with a ambiguous smile, "Koko little beauty is this going to secretly take pictures of which little handsome boy?"
Xiao Ke rubbed his head awkwardly and smiled wryly, "There is, there is such a person..."
"But the outfit you bought might make it easier for people to notice you." The shop assistant sister laughed even harder, pointing at the TV on the counter above, which was playing a Korean version of "It Started with a Kiss", where Shin's mom was sneaking behind Hani wearing a headscarf, mask and sunglasses, making the scene ridiculously funny.
"I think if you dress up, it'll probably be just this effect, and it's no wonder that the little handsome guy won't be scared." The shop assistant sister nodded her head, "I think you can just wear a hat to slightly disguise yourself."
Xiao Ke couldn't help but chuckle again, thought for a moment and put down the mask and sunglasses, "Then forget about these two, thinking about it, it's indeed quite strange, heh heh."
"If you catch up, don't forget to bring it over for sister to see." Xiao Ke had already pushed open the door, and the shop assistant still didn't forget to remind her of one more thing.
Xiao Ke walked out of the convenience store with a wry smile.
The wind outside is even stronger. Once she earns enough tuition fees, she must buy herself a good coat, at least not to freeze outside.
A couple with exceptionally good looks walked towards me, especially the man, who had a slender and well-proportioned build. Wearing only a simple windbreaker and jeans, he exuded a completely different aura, his entire being radiating a clear and cold temperament that was enough to enthrall any woman.
Xiao Ke stared blankly as they approached, his footsteps slowing down.
"What's next?" The girl beside the man had a pair of extremely large but also extremely beautiful eyes, and due to the height difference, she kept taking steps to keep up with the man. "What's next?"
"Liao Xinxin, don't make a fuss. It's too noisy." The man's voice was elegant and cold, and the girl named Liao Xinxin immediately swallowed back the words she hadn't finished saying, and because she swallowed too hastily, she even coughed up a bit.
The man seemed helpless and glanced at the girl, but his feet slowed down.
Xiao Ke stared blankly as they walked past her, then smiled self-deprecatingly. Such an excellent man was not someone a poor girl like her could fantasize about. A gust of cold wind blew through her coat, and she wrapped it tighter around herself, quickening her pace towards home. Unbeknownst to her, the man behind had stopped in his tracks, furrowing his brow as he gazed at her slender back.
"What's wrong?" Liao Xinxin's tongue was a bit knotted.
"Nothing, just a bad feeling."
Liao Xin's eyes were full of suspicion, "What's wrong with that? Is the pretty girl a suspect in some case?"
Years of experience as a detective had given him exceptional eyesight, and although he had only taken a quick glance, he clearly saw that the transparent plastic bag in the girl's hand contained a black hat, a high-powered telescope, and a recorder.
The girl who was dressed so shabbily actually went to buy these high-priced items, but didn't even get herself a thicker coat. Shen Yu narrowed his eyes and recalled what Yin Changjing had said before.
"You little brat has no other shortcomings, but you like to observe people too much, thinking that everyone is not right, with your way of thinking, anyone would be a criminal!"
It's probably the old problem again, just a weird girl. He withdrew his gaze and fell on the girl with "a face full of eyes" beside him, but this girl was still very normal, still so crazy.
"Let's go," he said. "And Liao Xinxin, don't make a fuss. It's too noisy."
