Chapter 61: Female Ghost (Part 2)

Chapter 61: The Female Ghost (Part 2)

Su Yun was so anxious that she almost cried out loud, cold sweat seeping into her back. "Bang!", Su Yun jumped in fright, her movements frozen in place.

"Bang!" Su Yun let out a startled cry and jumped up. Just now, it was the sound of footsteps coming from the far end of the corridor, still very far away. The corridor was so quiet that the echo was particularly clear. Su Yun held her breath and unconsciously retreated, backing against the glass wall. The cold sensation made her calm down a bit. After waiting for a while, nothing happened, and she was about to let out a sigh of relief when suddenly there was another "bang" sound. Su Yun lightly cried out "ah" and abruptly turned her head in the opposite direction. The far end of the corridor was dark, but not completely black. It seemed like someone was standing there, yet it also seemed like no one was.

She thought this time the footsteps would again sound only twice and very slowly.

The footsteps suddenly became continuous, non-stop, from far to near, the sound of "pata pata" was endless, as if someone was rushing towards here from afar, in a hurry, and finally, it seemed like running. The sound grew louder and closer. In the sky and on earth, all sounds ceased, leaving only this thunder-like echo.

Su Yun's tension grew as the thing should have been very close, but she didn't see anything. In the end, the footsteps sounded right next to her ear, and her legs went weak, letting out a sharp cry, covering her face with both hands, closing her eyes tightly, and curling up on the ground. The footsteps stopped abruptly in front of Su Yun! Su Yun curled up into a ball, trembling with fear. She didn't dare open her eyes, fearing that when she did, something would be standing right in front of her.

But after a long while, Su's voice was shaking so hard it was almost convulsing, but there was nothing unusual. She secretly moved her arm away, and through the gaps between her fingers, she saw nothing, only the iron-gray floor, reflecting cold light in the dimness. Panting urgently, her heart racing like a drum, every movement seemed to consume her enormous energy, cold sweat slid down her brow, flowing into her eyes, stinging, but she couldn't blink, her gaze fixed rigidly, she had to see if there was really nothing beside her!

"Katz!" The strange voice dragged on and on, piercing to the point of making one's brain ache, like fingernails scraping against a blackboard. Su Yun hastily gasped for breath, that sound had just rung out beside her left ear, right next to it, her eardrum still throbbing with pain, from her left side, Su Yun's entire body went numb.

She wanted to move, but couldn't because of paralysis. She wanted to run, her heart urging herself to move her legs, move her legs. Suddenly, her whole body shook violently, something was touching her left arm, cool and slippery like a snake. Her hair stood on end, and then her two legs also felt the sensation, something was wrapping around them.

A wave of intense nausea surged up, and Su Yin suddenly began to struggle violently, as the things on her arms and legs were pulling her, with increasing force. She saw them, those things, all black, dense hair, pouring in from the end of the corridor, from the ceiling, from all sides, like a giant black beast, like a swarm of black snakes, about to engulf her.

The enormous fear made her struggle desperately, flailing wildly to break free. In the chaos, she felt the door lock behind her back, realized what it was, and twisted it open before rushing in. She tried to lock the door, but her hair got stuck, countless strands squeezing through the gap, pulling on her shoulders, tugging at her arms, and scraping across her cheek, making her feel nauseous.

Suddenly, she caught sight of something behind the door - a tool for pruning plants. Su quickly picked it up and was about to chop down when those heads of hair reacted extremely quickly, all shrinking back in an instant. Taking advantage of the momentum, she locked the door tightly, retreating backwards as the hair outside tried to get in, causing the door to crash and vibrate continuously, along with the glass wall shaking non-stop, as if it was about to shatter into pieces.

Gasping, Su Yun thought of running, but turned around and was stunned. In front of her stood a person with their back to her, long hair, wearing a skirt with ethnic patterns, only tattered and worn out. Su Yun immediately held the tool in front of her chest, ready for any movement from the other party, regardless of whether it was useful or not, she would first give them a blow before anything else.

Just as she was thinking, the man suddenly turned around and faced her, startling her! The man's head hung very low, almost with his brain hanging on his chest, only a faint chin could be seen. A cyanic hand with peeling skin slowly raised, slowly curled up four fingers, index finger pointing to the ground, don't know what he was pointing at.

Su Yun was perplexed, but saw the man suddenly drop his chin, almost to his stomach, and a mass of cement-like substance flowed out of his mouth, falling to the ground, quickly piling up into a heap. Su Yun was momentarily stunned, when suddenly there was a loud crash, Su Yun turned her head, the door had been broken open, hair like a flood, eagerly rushing over, soon it would be able to wrap around her legs.

Turning back, this place is closed off, with no way to escape. Looking again at the female ghost, she's already gone. Despair fills her heart, Su Yin gasps for breath, and sobs get stuck in her throat. She doesn't even know what she's thinking, but she throws away the tool in her hand, takes a few steps to where the female ghost pointed, squats down and frantically digs, digging with all her might, her fingers bleeding profusely from being scratched, yet still gritting her teeth and digging fiercely.

Shoulders were tied up, and suddenly a blackness appeared in front of her eyes. A faint voice came from the side of her ear, as if it had come from ancient times, long and far away, soft and gentle, as if it could contain everything in the world. Her heart and soul trembled with it, listening to it, following it: "Su Yin, come back quickly, come back, come back..."

In an instant, Su Yun stopped struggling, stiff and straight, with smoke swirling in front of her eyes, which gradually cleared. The first thing to return was sound - heavy panting, intense heartbeat, hers and others', all jumbled together. Then came touch - someone had wrapped their arms tightly around her, holding her close, so that she couldn't see anything because someone's hand covered her eyes. That person leaned against her back, hot breath blowing on the nape of her neck.

That person was still calling her, she heard it and stuttered: "Lu... Ge Lu... Brother Lu..."

Ge Lu heard it and moved his hand covering his eyes, he comfortingly stroked her cheek and hair: "It's okay now, you're back, just sleep, a good sleep will be fine..."

In her last line of sight, she saw the crowd not far away, those people were uneasy, fearful, incredulous, watching from a distance, as if guarding against a monster. And she, kneeling in the muddy ground, with both hands covered in mud and blood.

She was in a daze, she was dreaming, and her dreams were chaotic and confusing. She was running in the dark, it was so dark that nothing could be seen, like being underground. She felt desperate, there was no sound, no light. Why was she alone, why was she so cold, her hands and feet numb, as if no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't warm up.

I really want to go out, I really want to see that person, it's so lonely, going to see that person, going to see him, going...

When she woke up, she was sobbing soundlessly, her nose sore and breathing difficult. Tears blurred her vision, making it hard to see things clearly. Her tear glands seemed out of control, with tears streaming down her ears. She blinked her eyes open, mouth agape, needing air. As consciousness finally cleared, Su Yun heard someone speaking - it was Zhi Yu's voice.

"I'll go deal with the outside matters right away, the sooner the better, it's less risky!"

"Alright! Go then! Be more discreet, don't get discovered." Gu Lu replied, his voice laced with fatigue.

He responded with a single word, followed by the sound of opening and closing doors. The room fell silent for a moment before Ge Lu spoke up in a slow tone that lacked his usual warmth, with an undercurrent of icy sharpness: "Is this really your achievement? It's actually not bad!"

Pausing for a moment, no one responded. Ge Lu said in a low voice: "Qizhao, I've told you before, with just you alone, it's impossible to protect her!" Qizhao only firmly said: "She can't be discovered!" Ge Lu couldn't help but feel some anger, and scolded in a low tone: "Then are you able to watch as she dies right in front of you?" The scene fell silent again, then Qizhao spoke up in a low voice: "Ge Lu, there's something here..."

Ge Lu fell silent, finally asking: "What do you want to say?"

"There's something here! In this school!"

Su Yun's fingers twitched involuntarily, and a faint pain spread through her body. She couldn't help but let out a soft "hiss". The room immediately fell silent, the curtains were lifted, and Qi Xiu stood beside the bed, looking down at her with urgent concern in his dark eyes.

  "How are you?"

Su Yun blinked her eyes, raised her hands in confusion, and found that they had already been wrapped up like a package. She turned to look at the two people beside her, saw their worried faces, and asked puzzled: "What's wrong with me?"
