Chapter 60: Female Ghost (Part One)

Chapter Sixty: The Female Ghost (Part 1)

The next day, Su Yin pushed open the door and Qi Xiu happened to be buying back breakfast from outside. Putting things on the table, Qi Xiu glanced at Su Yin, turned around to get plates from the kitchen, and came back to pack the breakfast. Su Yin stood woodenly in the middle of the living room, watching Qi Xiu busy herself. She felt very embarrassed and didn't know how to face Qi Xiu for a while.

Qizhao arranged the things neatly, raised his eyes to see Su Yin still standing in place, and said lightly: "What are you standing there for? Eat!" Su Yin was stunned, and responded with a hum: "Oh, oh, coming." Qizhao ate very elegantly, chewing slowly and quietly, not making a sound, completely out of character. Su Yin ate absent-mindedly, occasionally glancing at Qizhao, wanting to speak but holding back. Qizhao didn't pay attention to her, his eyes fixed straight ahead.

It's easy to finish eating, Su Yin felt relieved and started cleaning up. Qi Xiu leaned against the kitchen door and asked, "What was it yesterday?" Su Yin's hand paused for a moment before recovering, smiling and responding, "Nothing, nothing at all." After a brief silence behind her, Qi Xiu asked again, "Do you want to say something?" Su Yin dried the last plate, slowly put it back in the cabinet, turned around, wiped her hands, and faced Qi Xiu with an unnatural expression, hesitantly opening her mouth: "That is, I was thinking of asking for your help."

She watched him carefully, observing his expression, and Qi Xiu stared at her coldly, nodding: "Speak."

Su Yun nervously wiped her already dry hands and thought for a moment before finally speaking up: "Is it, is it okay if I stay here for the next few days?"

Qizhao didn't respond, nor was he surprised. He just stared at her, making her sweat profusely. Just as Su Yin was about to give up, Qizhao finally spoke: "Whatever." After that, he turned and entered the living room. Su Yin blinked, had he agreed so easily? Without asking why? Su Yin was stunned. She was about to follow him out to say something when her phone rang. She took it out and looked at it, then suddenly became startled and quickly answered. Before she could speak, the other party shouted: "Hey! Su Yin! Why haven't you arrived yet? What time is it now?"

"Ah! Sorry about that! I overslept, I'll be right there, I'll be right there!" The other person coquettishly complained: "You have to come! Hurry up! I'm going to be busy to death, you come and lend a hand! Come quickly, I'm waiting for you!"

Turning around, Su Yin smiled and said: "I'm going out for a bit, can I come back and continue training later?"

Unexpectedly, Qi Xiu stood up and said calmly: "I'm going too!"

Although the tone was lukewarm, it was not to be refused. Su Yin didn't make a sound, packed up and left with Qi Xiu. Su Yin always walked with a deliberate distance from Qi Xiu, mostly with Qi Xiu in front and her behind. From afar, it looked like she, Ji Su Yin, was following Qi Da Shuai devotedly! However, today Su Yin walked beside Qi Xiu, with only half an arm's length between them. This made Qi Xiu feel strange instead. Su Yin met Qi Xiu's gaze and asked, "What's wrong?" Qi Xiu shook his head. The two then continued on in silence to the Medical Academy.

Su Yun vaguely felt that Qi Xiu was being weird, but after what happened yesterday, she had a lump in her throat. She thought it wasn't necessary, since she was innocent and didn't need to be defensive, why should she humiliate herself to that extent? It was completely unnecessary! Moreover, for some people, it wasn't even worth it! So, she didn't need to explain anything, she just wanted to be open and honest!

Looking at the lively scene in front of her, Su Yin was stunned. This year's medical school is indeed lively, unprecedented and grander than ever before. The Department of Medicine is well-known nationwide, but it's also a rigorous field of study, and most students are cautious and restrained. So, scenes like this one are rare. Moreover, looking at the ratio, the male-to-female ratio is severely imbalanced, with female students outnumbering males by more than double.

Another pair of girls walked by in front of them, glancing over at their side, or rather, at her side. Su Yin spoke up: "Can you go in yourself?" Qi Xiu didn't respond, turning his head to glare at her before walking away. Su Yin pouted and quickly followed after him. Along the way, they passed by various medical photographs and organ models. Su Yin couldn't help but think to herself, how come these girls don't feel disgusted?

She was studying a skull when she suddenly felt something strange on her shoulder, and directly touched the back of her neck. Su Yin shrunk her neck in fright and let out an "Ah!" As she turned around, she saw Zhi Yu smiling at her with a human hand model in his hand, which scared her to death. Zhi Yu was very satisfied with her reaction, and ignoring Qi Xiu, he pulled Su Yin along as they walked, talking all the while.

"Su Yun, you've finally arrived, so slow! How was it? You're free this whole morning, right? Help me out! I'll treat you to dinner later." The words were directed at Ge Lu's class, and in order to get a chance to interact with Ge Lu, she ran for the position of Class Propaganda Officer. She was both beautiful and capable, and her popularity soared. This time, it was she who wrote the plan for the Medical College's 30th Anniversary Celebration, which successfully launched the event.

Looking at her being so energetic, Su Yun couldn't help but feel envious and secretly admit defeat. To be honest, with such momentum, even if Ge Lu was a stone, he should have been conquered by now. The two of them, one calm and one dynamic, were indeed very well-matched! Thinking this in her heart, Su Yun responded with her mouth.

"Alright, what do you want me to do specifically?" As he spoke, Su Yin was pulled away, and Qi Xiu stood in the corner, surrounded by a group of girls who seemed to be subtly attacking him. Zhi Yu smiled secretly and pulled Su Yin around several corners, taking her to another side.

The language is Chinese, Su Yin was arranged to help with the logistics work. At the entrance of the botanical garden, he guarded the booth, providing clean water for students who came and went, distributing small booklets, fans, and giving necessary directions. There were also several men and women at the same booth, all from Zhiyu's class, who were very friendly to Su Yin.

She was busy, pulling Su Yin away after only a few words of conversation. Amusingly, she watched as Zhi Yu refused to let go of her hand, Su Yin waved goodbye and told her to get back to work, earning herself a withering look from Zhi Yu, who accused her of being cold-blooded and unfeeling, despite having deep feelings for her. Just as it seemed like Zhi Yu was about to lean in for a kiss, Su Yin hastily dodged out of the way, leaving Zhi Yu to stomp her foot in frustration before storming off. The onlookers were initially shocked, but eventually couldn't help but laugh at the commotion, and Su Yin could only shake her head good-naturedly as she joked with her temporary colleague, who understood that Zhi Yu loved to play jokes, and they all laughed it off.

However, the rumors that he often skips class to find a certain girl in the school of Chinese medicine and frequently competes with a certain big handsome guy for her attention are still known to them. The problem is that Su Yun is naturally dull-witted and has no idea about it at all. Several people see their behavior and immediately understand the situation without needing to be told. Poor Su Yun did nothing, yet became the focus of the rumors, still looking foolish.

Logically speaking, things wouldn't be so exaggerated, it's just that a certain man and woman look good on the surface, when they get together, they are indeed pleasing to the eye, but with an unknown her sandwiched in between, this is not pleasing to the eye, it's piercing to the eye!

It was just a bow of the head, and a familiar figure walked by. The person's face was very pale. Su Yin was surprised, immediately stood up, and ran over. As she got closer, she found it was indeed Huang Xiaoyu, so she grabbed her arm. Huang Xiaoyu jumped in fright, turned her head to see it was Su Yin, her expression was strange for a moment, her face even paler than before, and she quickly pulled her arm back. Su Yin asked questions urgently, not noticing anything unusual.

"Xiao Yu, you don't look too good, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

Huang Xiaoyu seemed unwilling to look her in the eye, her gaze flickering, and her smile stiff.

  "No, I'm fine, really."

"Really? If there's something wrong, it's better to go to the hospital and have a check-up."

Su Yun was worried and while speaking, she stroked her arm, but didn't expect Xiao Yu to dodge quickly, her expression also suddenly becoming urgent.

"No, I'm fine, really, no need to go to the hospital!"

Huang Xiaoyu overreacted and Su Yin was startled. Seeing this, Huang Xiaoyu hastily said: "I, I still have something to do, first, I'll leave first." After speaking, she turned around and left. Su Yin wanted to chase after her, but Huang Xiaoyu quickly slipped into the crowd. Suddenly, a large number of people surged in from all sides, and in the midst of the chaos, Su Yin soon lost sight of Xiaoyu's figure.

Only looking ahead, her foot was tripped by something and Su Yun suddenly lost her balance, tumbling to the ground. Unaware of what had hooked her, Su Yun's throat constricted, tears streaming down her face as she coughed incessantly.

A violent cough, Su Yun felt around her neck, warm to the touch, took a look, bleeding. Looking down at the ground, the sachet hanging from her neck had been torn off. Just as she was about to pick it up, a chill suddenly ran up her spine, and Su Yun's face turned pale in an instant. The surrounding noisy voices gradually faded away, like the tide going out to sea, slowly becoming silent.

A mist gradually crept before her eyes, and she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. She closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, she found that the light around her was very dim, as if the sun had been bitten by a heavenly dog, and could no longer shine brightly on things.

Su Yun was frightened, looking around left and right, the long corridors on both sides were empty, not a single person in sight. Just a moment ago, there were still many people around, but now everything had vanished into thin air. Biting her lower lip, Su Yun took deep breaths, bent down to pick up the sachet, but was shocked and dismayed to find that nothing was left on the ground. She pounced forward, feeling around the icy cold floor with her hands, wondering where it had gone, when just a moment ago it was still there.
