Mr. Ethereal (End)
"Big Treasure Little Treasure, how did you two end up here?"
Ever since they drove away Da Bao and his group, Ming Shu didn't feel good either. He was afraid that they would be bullied by evil spirits outside, and also worried that they would be taken in by the Taoist priests. He stuck with Jiu Shu, one of whose purposes was to find those two. Who could have thought that when they met again, it would be such a scene.
"Ma Dao You, don't you think there's been some misunderstanding? I've raised Da Bao and Xiao Bao for over a decade, no one knows them better than me. Today's events, it's absolutely impossible that they were the ones who did it..."
Ming Shu's words were frozen under Jiu Shu's icy gaze, and he couldn't utter another word of excuse. Although his Taoist skills were not refined, he could also sense the thick bloody aura on these two ghosts. They were no longer the simple little ghosts they once were; after being tainted with human blood, they had completely transformed into evil spirits, yet they were supposed to be Taoist priests who maintained the balance of yin and yang.
"Uncle Jiu stood there with his hands behind his back, his face stern: 'If I had known that you two would be stained with human blood today, I wouldn't have shown mercy and spared your lives, you two scourges.'"
In the past, they had a chance encounter, and Ninth Uncle didn't have any ill intentions towards these two ghosts. At that time, they just liked to play pranks, but their nature wasn't bad. Nowadays, they are surrounded by resentment, and if things continue like this, heavenly punishment will soon arrive.
"Humans and ghosts are on different paths. You two, with your ghostly bodies, have disrupted the order of yin and yang. Many people whose fate had not yet been fulfilled were killed by you two, do you know that if it weren't for the faith of those villagers you saved, what kind of ending would await you?"
Luoke finally knew why they killed so many people, but the heavenly punishment did not come. It turned out that it was because they had the power of faith to protect their bodies, which avoided the heavenly calamity. The good cause and effect are probably like this.
She had just suffered that blow, her soul was still a bit unstable, Luo Ke supported Da Bao to stand up and looked at Jiu Shu saying.
"Uncle Jiu, what is good and what is evil? I only know that if I don't kill them today, countless innocent lives will be lost at their hands tomorrow. Why should the common people suffer? I have this ability, and I cannot bear to stand idly by, watching invaders slaughter my compatriots. Even if heavenly punishment falls upon me in the future, I will never regret it."
The bodies of the invaders lay on the ground, a strong smell of blood filled the air, and Ninth Uncle looked at Luo Ke and Da Bao standing in the bloody puddle with a dazed expression.
All the way, they heard many legends about the Blue Robe Guardian Deity. In the mouths of those villagers, the Blue Robe God helped them avoid the plunder and slaughter of invaders, and many people's lives were saved by the Blue Robe God. Some families even enshrined statues of the Blue Robe God, burning incense and praying morning and night.
They never thought that the Blue God was actually these two ghosts in front of them.
The world is in great chaos, yin and yang are upside down. The evil spirits that were originally harmful to humans have become gods who save people, while those human demons have raised their butcher knives against their own kind.
The ninth uncle let out a long sigh, put away the yellow talisman in his hand, and looked at the two ghostly creatures standing together. He said, "Although you have blood on your hands, it is for the great justice of the world. I will spare you this time, but if you two do not restrain yourselves, heaven's punishment will eventually come."
Jiū shū said, then turned his body away, not looking at them. Míng shū saw Jiū shū put away the talisman and only then dared to run to the side of the two people.
Looking at the burns on Luo Ke's body, Ming Shu felt a pang of heartache, but his mouth was merciless: "You little devil, the talisman came over, can't you dodge? Fortunately, you're now just an evil spirit, if you were still in your original small body, this would have taken your life."
Uncle Ming's endless chatter relaxed Luo Ke's tense body. Although Uncle Ming was a bit out of tune, he was good to them. They had already become evil spirits, but he didn't blame them. It seemed like everything was still the same as before, and they were still his little ghosts that he raised.
Dabao's mouth cracked open, revealing a silly smile. He shouted out "Uncle Ming" and then fell silent, just smiling foolishly like that. Dabao didn't say anything, but Luo Ke actually knew, he had been thinking about Uncle Ming all along.
Luò Kě didn't know what they said afterwards. When Míng Shū persuaded them to stop, Luò Kě only asked one sentence: "If we stop now, will the heavenly punishment not arrive?"
Ming Shu averted his eyes, not daring to look into hers, and Luo Ke knew the answer.
If the outcome is always the same, what's the point of stopping now?
Luoke did not expect Tianxu to arrive so quickly.
At the moment when the thunderbolt came down, Luo Ke pushed Da Bao out and faced the heavenly thunder alone.
She remembered that night a few days ago, the talisman she begged from Ming Shu, now it can finally be used.
When the thunderclouds dissipated, the place where the invaders' stronghold once stood had turned into a massive crater. Except for the scorched black earth, no trace was left behind.
Everyone says it's because the invaders have done too much evil and suffered heavenly punishment. In a corner that they can't see, a blue transparent human figure is lying there, crying hoarsely.
