Mr. Ethereal (Four)
Dabao stared at Uncle Ming, who was eating and drinking over there, and saw that more than half of the chicken had entered Uncle Ming's belly. Dabao couldn't sit still and muttered: "Uncle Ming, you said you would give me..."
Uncle Ming glared at Da Bao with annoyance and said in a harsh tone, "All you know is eating, eating, eating. At critical moments, you always let me down. Alas, I'm afraid of you. The chicken's gone, but there are still ducks. You'll have to make do with that."
Although the promised roasted chicken turned into a duck, Dabao was still very satisfied. He happily took the roasted duck from Ming Shu and tore off two duck legs for Luo Ke. He then held the rest of the duck in his arms and ate it mouthful by mouthful.
Dabao's duck meat had just entered his mouth, when the living room door was kicked open with a loud bang. A man wearing glasses walked in from outside. The moment he saw the chicken, duck and fish on the table, he became furious, his eyes turning bright red. Without saying a word, he overturned the table.
Don't look at Da Bao's usual dull and cute appearance, but when it comes to eating, he has an unparalleled obsession. Normally, it's just some stale incense and ingots, but today, Uncle Ming, that stingy old man, finally agreed to spend money on roast duck, and he was thinking about how to stuff his face, but this reckless man ruined everything.
Dabao stared at the roasted duck on the ground, his face getting uglier and uglier, his pale face clouded with anger. Luo Ke knew something was wrong, Dabao was about to blow up.
"Uncle Ming, in someone else's territory, is it really okay to let Da Bao cause such a commotion?"
Luò Kě wasn't worried that Dà Bǎo would cause any trouble, firstly because Dà Bǎo's abilities were limited, and secondly because Míng Shū, although a bit unreliable, was very cautious in his actions. He wouldn't let them touch anything they shouldn't, and while it was okay to play harmless pranks on people, causing someone's death was absolutely not allowed.
The lonely and wild ghosts who have taken human lives will become evil spirits, forever unable to transcend.
This is after all Ninth Uncle's territory, if Ninth Uncle were to investigate, it would be hard to explain.
Ming Shu waved his hand, indicating that Luo Ke was fine, and it was just a harmless joke. Although Ming Shu's Taoist skills were not refined, he and Jiu Shu were fellow practitioners, so he would give him some face regardless of the situation.
Luò Kě finally put his mind at ease, watching Dà Bǎo teasing the bespectacled man. Along with the bespectacled man were two small men who had also been implicated and suffered together.
Watching Da Bao grab the glasses man's hand and put it on the two followers' buttocks, Luo Ke burst out laughing, didn't expect that normally honest Da Bao would play a trick on someone so creatively.
Because ordinary people can't see the treasure, when Huang's wife heard the noise and came in, she only saw her own son putting his hand on the man's buttocks, and was instantly stunned.
"Big brother, how can you still have this kind of hobby? I'm still a child, I don't like men!" The first member of the class rolled away and hid far away, looking at their team captain in horror.
The man with glasses looked like he was about to cry, and hastily explained: "I didn't do it on purpose, I don't know what's going on either, my hands just won't listen to me?"
The second follower also broke free from the glasses man's grasp and didn't dare say anything, pulling the first follower to run out without looking back.
Butt-touching is nothing, what if the big brother makes some excessive demands? They are going to marry their wives, and they will absolutely not succumb to the captain's lustful power.
Unexpectedly, those two followers spoke so humorously that Luo Ke was overjoyed and couldn't help but reveal a mouthful of pearly white teeth.
Seeing Luo Ke's smiling face, Da Bao became more and more energetic, controlling the glasses man to make all sorts of ridiculous movements.
This glasses-wearing man, although a bit hot-tempered and not very capable, is however the apprentice of Ninth Uncle. Although he didn't learn even one-tenth of Ninth Uncle's skills, in this current situation, he also knows that he has gotten himself into trouble.
"Master, save me!"
The man with glasses couldn't care about his face anymore, he spread his legs and involuntarily rushed towards the pillar in the living room. This time, if he crashed hard, the happiness of his second half of life would be ruined.
Luò Kě was enjoying the play when a sudden, extremely uncomfortable aura appeared. Luò Kě's expression changed and she subconsciously turned her head to see Jiǔ Shū standing at the door in his gray long gown, staring over here.
"Damn it!" Luo Ke muttered to himself, "Isn't he supposed to be dealing with the horse thieves? How did he end up here at this time?"
Ninth Uncle saw at a glance the ghost grasping his apprentice and shouted: "Under broad daylight, in the clear sky, why are you here to play tricks on people?"
He said, reached out and grabbed a wine jar beside him, used his index finger to poke a small hole in the bottom of the jar, then pointed the mouth of the jar at Da Bao's leg, who was holding onto Glasses Man, and shouted: "Take it!"
Seeing Ninth Uncle's attitude of wanting to capture Da Bao, Ming Shu immediately panicked. He had raised Da Bao and Xiao Bao for a long time, and no matter what, he had some feelings for them. How could he just watch as they were taken away?
Who would have thought that Ninth Uncle's movements were so swift? Before he could think of a solution, he had already taken the treasure and was about to capture Da Bao.
He also knew this spell, using a wine jar to capture the ghost, with an eight trigrams mirror sealing the bottom of the jar. After capturing the ghost inside, a talisman paper sealed the mouth of the jar, thus cutting off the escape route for the ghost in the jar.
Ming Shu's skills were not refined, and he couldn't do it like Ninth Uncle. Seeing that Da Bao was about to be sucked in, Ming Shu hurriedly pounced forward and hugged Da Bao's legs.
Jiu Shu furrowed his brow and looked at Ming Shu, his voice several degrees colder: "Fellow Taoist, what do you mean by this?"
In the eyes of Taoists, the art of raising ghosts is an evil and heretical path, and those who practice it are not considered human. If Ninth Uncle were to find out that Da Bao was his ghost, the consequences would be unthinkable. Ninth Uncle has a high reputation in this town, and if he were to utter a single sentence about evil and heresy, I'm afraid he wouldn't be able to leave the town's gate.
Uncle Ming didn't dare say that Da Bao was his, and awkwardly let go of Da Bao's leg. He grabbed a wine jug from the table next to him, gesturing for Da Bao to come over quickly.
"It's just a small matter, I don't dare trouble you, fellow Taoist, I'll take care of it myself."
Ming Shu urged Da Bao to hurry up while speaking, but unexpectedly, Da Bao was suppressed by Ming Shu's righteous aura and moved slowly like a snail.
" Fellow Taoist, you're too slow, let me do it."
Jiū shū shuō wán, bā guà jìng yī shōu, dà bǎo bù shòu kòng zhì de xiàng zhe jiǔ tán fēi qù.
Translation:
After Ninth Uncle finished speaking, the Eight Trigrams Mirror was put away, and the Great Treasure flew uncontrollably towards the wine jar.
Luò Kě stared blankly as Dà Bǎo transformed into a stream of light and darted into the cauldron. Jiǔ Shū pulled out a yellow talisman from his body, stuck it on the mouth of the cauldron, then handed the cauldron to his disciple beside him, and finally fixed his gaze on Luò Kě hiding in the corner.
Jiǔ shū de yǎn bù dà, kàn zhe tā de yǎn shén hěn lěng, dànshì què méiyǒu shā qì, Luó Kě xuán zhe de xīn huàn huàn fàng le fàng, tā hài pà Jiǔ Shū shì gè jì è rú chóu de, yǐ tā de běn shí fēn zhōng miǎo wáng le tā, jiù hěn xiàng wán er shì de.
English Translation:
Ninth Uncle's eyes were not big, his gaze was very cold, but there was no killing intent, Luo Ke's suspended heart slightly relaxed, she feared that Ninth Uncle was a ruthless and vengeful person, with his skills he could destroy her in an instant, just like playing with her.
Just as Ninth Uncle's eyes landed on Xiaobao, Ming Shu panicked, having already taken away Da Bao, and there was no way Xiaobao could fall into his hands.
Holding a wine jar, Ming Shu silently gestured for Luo Ke to quickly get in.
Although Uncle Ming is timid and afraid of trouble, and is also unreliable, it's still better for things to be in his hands than in the hands of Ninth Uncle.
As she thought of this, Luo Ke rushed towards the wine jug in Ming Shu's hand, but unexpectedly a hand stretched out from the side and pulled her over, stuffing her into the wine jug.
Crouching in the dimly lit wine jar, Luo Ke quietly stuffed the roasted duck leg that Da Bao had just handed her into her mouth.
Now I just hope Uncle Ming suddenly unleashes his divine power and rescues them, although this might be a bit far-fetched no matter how you think about it.
