Chapter 11: Mr. Ling Huan (Part 2)

  Mr. Ethereal (Two)

Luoke felt that this must be a deep malice of the vast universe against her.

She and Da Bao are just two little ghosts, at most they can only cheat those ignorant villagers with some small tricks. If they encounter a real vengeful spirit or evil ghost, the two of them together would not even be enough to fill the gap between its teeth.

It's bad enough that Ming Shu, this unreliable Taoist priest, got himself into trouble, but who would have thought that this time he kicked an iron plate and poked someone's beehive, causing her and Da Bao to follow him in a desperate escape.

Those ghosts are really too scary, Luo Ke and the others were completely at a loss for what to do, they couldn't fight back or run away, Luo Ke who was stepped on by the red-clothed female ghost looked at Ming Shu with a bitter face.

"Are you showing off your Taoist skills? We don't ask you to eliminate them, can't you at least give us a way out?"

Watching Uncle Ming rush out of the window without looking back, Luo Ke was completely speechless.

She knew that Ming Shu was such a person, and she could deal with these two useless little ghosts. When they encountered someone who was really formidable, they immediately became cowardly and ran faster than the two of them.

This guy likes to put them in the umbrella when nothing's wrong, how come at critical moments, he's so unkind? Alas, don't go, what will we do if you leave?

  Wait for Uncle Ming!!!

It wasn't easy to leave that haunted mansion, and Ming Shu, exhausted, lay on the ground, panting heavily and scolding: "You two useless guys, can't even do this little thing right, what's the point of me raising you?"

Luò Kě Pā sat on one side, rolled her eyes and muttered to herself, "Being supported by a useless guy like you, I'm not even ashamed of your uselessness embarrassing the team, but instead you come over here complaining about this and that."

Among the three, Dabao still had some strength left. He jumped to Luo Ke's side with a few bounces and hugged Luo Ke's small body into his arms. While rubbing Luo Ke's arm injured by those fierce ghosts, he said: "Little Treasure doesn't hurt, Little Treasure doesn't hurt. Big Treasure will protect you from now on."

Da Bao's ash-gray face revealed a hint of heartache, it was all his fault. If he had been more capable, how would Xiao Bao have suffered such hardships? When he was alive, he failed to protect him, leaving Xiao Bao as a lonely and wandering soul. Now, he definitely wouldn't let Xiao Bao suffer any more grievances.

After these days of getting along, Luo Ke knew that Da Bao was truly heartbroken for her. Seeing Da Bao's distressed expression, Luo Ke reached out and gently rubbed his head, saying: "Da Bao don't be sad, Xiao Bao isn't hurt."

Let's just ignore her pretentious words...

The two men's words fell into Ming Shu's ears, but he completely misinterpreted them as another meaning, thinking that Da Bao and Xiao Bao were hinting that he was incompetent and couldn't protect them. He suddenly felt very embarrassed and scolded them in a bad temper, then raised his hand and put them back under the yellow paper umbrella.

He stuck the yellow paper umbrella behind his back and hurriedly left, afraid that the ghosts were catching up with him.

A quiet forest, the wind blows through the branches rustling, a wild cat suddenly appears from somewhere, making a piercing cry as if its tail had been stepped on.

The sound spread far and wide with the wind, faintly falling into the ears of people rushing on their journey through the night.

Ming Shu tightened his clothes and felt that the forest was quiet and a bit scary, so he quickened his pace.

Don't look at Uncle Ming, who is a Taoist, but he has two little ghosts by his side. His courage is the smallest, originally just half a bottle of vinegar level, tonight he suffered such a big loss, almost couldn't run out, now his heart is even more uneasy, intending to let Da Bao and Xiao Bao out, but afraid of being ridiculed by those two, so he gave up that idea.

He quickened his pace and walked for about two hours before finally leaving the forest, where a somewhat desolate small town appeared before him.

It was late at night, and the people in the town were all resting. The whole town was quiet and deserted, with only a house not far away still hanging two white lanterns under the eaves. As I walked closer, I found it was an inn.

After a long and tiring night, Ming Shu was already exhausted. Fortunately, there was an inn where he could rest his feet and get some good rest.

Just as he was about to knock on the door, his fingers had just touched the door when it creaked open. Ming Shu was stunned - how could this inn not even close its doors?

Thinking to himself, Ming Shu stepped into the inn with one foot. The inn was pitch black and didn't have any lights on, so he couldn't see what was inside. He opened his mouth and shouted: "Is the shopkeeper in?"

Although Luo Ke was under the umbrella, she could clearly perceive the situation outside. She was now almost kneeling down to Ming Shu's abnormal brain circuitry, which was already a clear indication of a problem. This guy still rushed in recklessly, and indeed, his stubbornness was incurable.

Now they are tied together like a pair of mandarin ducks, what can Ming Shu do to make things better? Just as Luo Ke was about to remind Ming Shu that something was wrong, a gust of cold wind blew over and the two white lanterns hanging at the door suddenly went out.

The house was suddenly plunged into darkness.

  Uncle Ming (⊙o⊙)...

What's going on now? Ming Shu was stunned by the situation in front of him, his legs unknowingly softened a bit, and he wasn't very brave to begin with. Now that this has happened... damn it, he's about to pee his pants!

A strange gust of wind blew over, and the temperature in the house suddenly dropped by several degrees. Ming Shu was frozen to the point of trembling all over, and he didn't know where the creaking sounds were coming from. Ming Shu felt like all the hairs on his body were standing up, and if he still didn't know what was happening after all these years, then he had been wasting his time.

Just barely escaped with my life, and now I've entered a haunted house? The yin energy here is more terrifying than a group of ghosts! Who knows what kind of vengeful spirits or malevolent entities reside here?! Ming Shu turned his head, wanting to make a run for it, but unexpectedly the doors and windows were sealed shut and couldn't be opened no matter how hard he tried. Ming Shu was so anxious that he stomped his feet, seeing the temperature inside the house drop lower and lower. He was so scared that he almost wet his pants, if he didn't get out soon, he would freeze to death!

A withered hand stretched out from the darkness, reaching towards Ming Shu, who, lacking a few brain cells, didn't notice the danger and was still struggling with the door.

Although Ming Shu was unreliable, Luo Ke couldn't just watch him get killed by the fierce ghost. Just as he was about to remind him, a talisman flew out from the side and stuck to the ghost's arm.

The fierce ghost let out a piercing scream and suddenly withdrew its hand, disappearing from view.

Luò Kě only felt a surge of majestic and righteous energy rushing towards her, her current body belonged to the ghostly realm, opposing that righteous energy, she felt uncomfortable all over, yet before seeing the master, she had already been injured by the aura.

Her whole body was feeling extremely uncomfortable, but Luo Ke suddenly realized that she had been picked up from Ming Shu's body and handed over to another person. A hand with distinct joints slid across the umbrella, making Luo Ke feel as if her soul and body were about to burn up in flames. She gritted her teeth and tried hard to gather her consciousness which was on the verge of passing out. When she focused her attention, she saw a man with a square face, around 30 or 40 years old, holding the paper umbrella that had been hiding her.

That man's appearance couldn't be considered handsome, but between his eyebrows and eyes, a righteous aura was gathered. His entire body emitted an awe-inspiring power that made people feel calm and serene in front of him, as if they were standing by a lake with no ripples.

This man was much more formidable than Ming Shu at a single glance, so Ming Shu shouldn't be in any danger. Luo Ke's expression relaxed, and he fainted.
