Chapter 3 Lesson 1

  Chapter 3 Lesson 1

Great Britain... young anti-terrorism... special training camp? Nima! You are the terrorists, okay?!

Xu Ming's heart was no longer calm, those two soldiers' strong grip made his arms ache unbearably, it was clear that this was not a dream.

He had to think of a way out. Xu Ming took a glance around him. Inside the walls, there were dilapidated buildings everywhere - factories, residential houses, and what seemed like a square, but he couldn't see the end of it.

This wall actually encloses such a large area, roughly estimated to be at least the size of a county town. With such a large base, it shouldn't be difficult to escape, right?

Sunlight happened to shine on the third floor of a nearby abandoned factory at this time, and Xu Ming's eyes flashed with at least twenty bright spots.

Sniper! At least twenty snipers are aiming at me!

Damn it! More than twenty snipers are aiming at a young man who has lost all his combat power and is only wearing a pair of shorts.

This is too ridiculous! What kind of training base is this? I think even a satellite launch base wouldn't have such tight security.

"Mr. Death Row inmate, I'm actually very curious, how did you get sentenced to death? Did you kill someone?" The middle-aged man seemed to be very interested in Xu Ming.

Xu Ming struggled to explain, but unfortunately, the goods with military rank didn't have the slightest intention of taking out the broken cloth from Xu Ming's mouth.

"Oh." The middle-aged man's face turned stern again, and he said indifferently: "Since you don't want to say anything, I won't force you. Take him in."

My day! It's not that I don't want to say it, it's just that I can't say it, okay?!

Xu Ming struggled but was dragged away by two soldiers like a dead dog, into a three-story building next to it, which seemed to be an abandoned teaching building.

The corridor is very long, and there is a classroom not far from each other, but the glass of the classrooms are all sealed with layers of iron wire mesh, even the doors are iron fence doors, and two soldiers on duty are standing at the door.

Dimly visible through the iron mesh and semi-transparent glass, it seems that there is someone inside. In each classroom, except for human shadows, nothing else can be seen, and these shadows are all curled up in the corners.

They dragged Xu Ming along the corridor for five or six minutes, and two soldiers dragged Xu Ming to a half-open iron gate, where there were two soldiers, apparently they had opened the door in advance.

A soldier pulled out the rag from Xu Ming's mouth, kicked him in with one foot, and immediately afterwards, the sound of iron bars closing was heard behind his back, accompanied by the crisp sound of an iron lock being locked.

Xu Ming's mouth recovered its freedom, and he wanted to curse loudly, but he felt more than a dozen gazes sweeping over him. Xu Ming looked up and saw that in this classroom, there were more than twenty young men and women of different skin colors around his age, but they all sat together in groups of three or five, even their gazes at Xu Ming were filled with indifference.

They seemed very quiet, without the arrogance that should be at this age, only occasionally a few people whispered something, and most of them were talking while looking at the door.

Xu Ming decided to first understand the current situation, he looked around and saw a girl of about 17 years old sitting in the corner of the classroom.

The little girl had a head of brown hair that reached her ears, and her light blue eyes looked extremely melancholy. Her figure was curvaceous, and at the age of seventeen, she already had the contours of a fully developed woman.

Xu Ming walked up to the little girl's side, also tilting his head, and said in a low voice: "Beauty, hello, my name is Xu Ming, what's your name?"

The little girl looked up at him with a numb gaze in her eyes and replied emotionlessly: "Martina."

"So how did you get here?" Xu Ming continued to ask.

Martina didn't say a word, as if she hadn't heard Xu Ming say anything, and lowered her head in silence.

Xu Ming asked two more questions, but Martina ignored him. Just then, a strange noise came from his stomach. Xu Ming was embarrassed and covered his stomach with his hand. He had been playing games all night without even drinking a sip of water, and earlier he had been too tense to notice. Now his stomach was starting to protest.

"Is there anything to eat?" Xu Ming finally couldn't withstand his hunger and asked Martina with a thick face.

Martina looked at Xu Ming like an idiot and said coldly: "If they were full, would they dare to treat us like this?"

No way! Great Britain is so strong, even if there's a financial crisis explosion, it wouldn't be to the point where so many people can't even afford to eat.

Looking back, this world can't be judged by common sense, let's ask again before saying anything.

However, at this time Martina seemed to have lost interest in talking to Xu Ming, completely ignoring Xu Ming and shrinking alone in the corner in a daze.

Time passed minute by minute, and about two hours had elapsed. It was already approaching dusk when the iron gate suddenly opened, and that major walked in with an air of dignity. Behind him were four soldiers, each carrying two baskets.

There's something slightly bulging out of the basket, vaguely visible as what appears to be milk, bread and sausage.

As soon as they saw the food, everyone became excited, and their eyes were fixed on the two baskets of food. If it weren't for the lieutenant and four soldiers being armed, they would have probably rushed over to grab the food.

"Hello, young ones." The lieutenant colonel's face wore a smile, but his tone was devoid of courtesy. "Welcome, everyone, to this place. I know none of you wanted to come here, unfortunately, there is no choice. Our country has reached the brink of life and death, the opposing faction's army has bared its fangs, just less than one hundred kilometers away from here, sharpening their claws. So, the nation needs you, the people need you, our faith needs you."

"Of course, a little brat once told me that I don't respect human rights and that we are illegally detaining people. Here, I'd like to declare that those who talk about human rights have already starved to death twenty years ago. Now resources are extremely scarce, the government is powerless to support you anymore. If you want to survive, either join us or starve to death outside."

The lieutenant's words stopped here, and a young man with long hair and a pointed nose suddenly stood up from the audience, bowed to the lieutenant, and said in an exceptionally sincere tone: "Lieutenant, please forgive my abruptness. My family is a descendant of the original royal family. May I return to my family? If they knew, they would be very grateful to you, Lieutenant."

The lieutenant smiled slightly and said, "Of course."

"Come on, kid." The major held out his hand again, pointing at the doorway.

The young man cheered and said thank you, then quickly ran towards the door.

The other children seemed to see hope and crowded around the young officer, opening their mouths one after another, wanting to say something.

But unexpectedly, the lieutenant still had a smile all over his face, and with his right hand he slowly pulled out his pistol and shot the young man who was running to the door.

  Bang.

The boy's half brain suddenly turned into fragments, and his brains mixed with blood splattered everywhere.

Especially those in front who were splashed, each one shrieking and covering their heads with both hands, crouching in the corner, looking at the major with a terrified face, pale as death.

Even though Xu Ming often gets headshots in the game, seeing such a bloody scene in real life still made his stomach churn.

Martina beside her was even more tightly clenched with both hands, her fingernails turned white from the force, and her eyes were full of fear.

"Are you absolutely distrustful of my words?" The lieutenant seemed to have done something insignificant, still standing beside the corpse and chatting with a smile, while the soldiers did not receive orders and would not go to collect the body. "In fact, you can also understand it this way, but I also have my reasons. Personally, I promised him. However, I am a soldier, and also a commander. From the moment you entered here, you are all my soldiers. Unfortunately, I have to tell everyone that there is no deserter here."

"There won't be today, and there won't be in the future either."

The lieutenant's eyes were filled with a playful color, and the soldiers poured two large baskets of food onto the corpse. The fresh blood flowing from the corpse quickly dyed all the food red.

Then his pistol was lightly cocked, and the four soldiers behind him also cocked their assault rifles.

In the midst of everyone's panic, the lieutenant rolled up his left sleeve, revealing scars from gunshot wounds and a digital watch.

"Now begin the first lesson, lasting five minutes. Fill your stomachs, and after five minutes, proceed to the next assessment."
