Xuán Mén (Mystic Gate) faction settings (mainly orthodox forces):
The Orthodox School is mainly divided into Shu Mountain Emei Sect, Xianzong and Daozong.
1. Introduction to Mount Emei Sect (Nine Great Mystic Gates, also known as Mystic Gate Nine Yang)
Origin: The Emei Sect was founded in the early Tang Dynasty, with many disciples under its door. It is the most powerful immortal sect. Due to the early years of the demon-conquering war, Emei's first disciple fled the battlefield, leading to a disastrous defeat, and nearly half of the nine-door immortals were killed or injured. The Emei Sect was severely damaged and almost destroyed. Therefore, the Emei Sect vigorously cultivated new disciples, and the nine major mysterious gates are all young men and women.
The nine great Xuanmen are called "Xuanmen Jiuyang" because the orthodox cultivates Yang Qi to attain enlightenment (evil demons cultivate Yin Qi), and each of the nine gates cultivates different Yang Qi, which cannot be mutually compatible or cultivated together.
Jian Xian Men: The main force of Emei Sect, with the saying "Emei Jiuyang, Jianxian is the strongest". Divided into Dingjian Dao and Doujian Dao. Dingjian Dao tends to be defensive, while Doujian Dao tends to be offensive. Among them, "Furui Tianwang Shield" is the highest Taoist method, which can resist any external attack, convert the damage received by oneself into Fa Li, and protect multiple companions. The first disciple of Jian Xian who cultivates this method often serves as the leader and commander-in-chief of Emei's highest Taoist method "Zhenwu Dazhen".
Feng Lei Men: Skilled in using the powers of water, fire, wind and thunder, possessing a powerful killing technique. Its ultimate skill "Ba Huang Lei Yan Liu" can destroy heaven and earth. However, it lacks defensive techniques, and when facing extremely strong demon kings, it requires the protection of Jian Xian Men.
Dun Jia Men: Shrinking the earth and escaping to heaven, changing shape and position, thousands of miles of mountains and rivers are like a leisurely courtyard, possessing the magical ability to transform space, can also mobilize the "True Martial Array" companions. The attack is mainly based on stealth, with swift and ruthless lethality.
Divination Gate: Skilled in detecting and manipulating the flow of energy, fortune-telling numbers. Against ferocious opponents, they often change their fortunes, making them face danger and lose their momentum, defeating them without a fight. Divination Gate is also skilled at creating mysterious talismans and magical papers.
Yushoumen: Train and command the divine beasts between heaven and earth, such as the dragon, phoenix, qilin, etc., combine their divine power with one's own magical power to form a "destined divine beast", which is also good at attacking. Especially when they move together, hundreds of beasts advance together, it is the main force of the true martial arts formation.
Dan Medicine Gate: Manufactures various Dan medicines, which grant instant access to various divine abilities, including the spells of other Xuanmen. In intense battles, it can also use "Transmission Dan Technique" to transmit Lingdan to companions, enhancing their magical powers and is an important auxiliary of the True Martial Formation.
Soul Capturing Gate: The most sinister and mysterious technique of the Emei Sect. It can disrupt the opponent's mental state, establish a dream realm, and pull the target's soul into one's own set trap. In actual combat, it can summon vengeful spirits from the underworld to aid in battle, complementing the grand assault of the Beast Taming Gate with its dark and ruthless ghost-controlling technique, perfectly supplementing the power of the True Martial Formation.
Qí Qiǎo Mén: Skilled in manufacturing various magical artifacts and machinery, from small ones like the flying wooden crow to large ones like the iron beast for attacking cities, all of which have extraordinary effects under the influence of Qí Qiǎo Mén's magical powers. The magical artifacts of other sects are also mostly refined by Qí Qiǎo Mén. In "Xuán Mén", Qí Qiǎo's first disciple Bān Liángōng has been in hiding for a long time, and Qí Qiǎo Mén is actually managed by Hóu Tiān Jī.
Shennongmen: Treats illnesses and injuries, revives the dead, can regrow severed limbs, neutralizes extreme poison, and surpasses any ordinary medical technique. The "Thousand Mile Supplement Heaven Technique" allows for long-distance healing of companions, making it an indispensable technique in the True Martial Formation. Meanwhile, the "Five Paths Plague King Technique" can spread the most severe and unusual diseases, although its attack effect is slower than other techniques, Shennongmen is not completely without lethal force.
2, Xianzong Introduction:
Xianzong values nature and non-action, far away from worldly mundane affairs, divided into three factions: Tiānshān, Kūnlún, and Pénglái.
Tianshan Xianzong: The most powerful immortal sect, characterized by Tongling Jishen. Tongling refers to the ability to control external objects and environments with one's mind, allowing for spiritual communication with all living things. Jishen allows one to transfer their own soul into any living being. Tianshan Xianzong highly values "natural truth" and has no master-disciple relationships or sect rules, abandoning all moral and ritual constraints. The immortals of this sect are almost indistinguishable from wild people in the natural world, often going for years without wearing clothes. This sect is located far away in the Tianshan Xianjing, unknown to the rest of the world.
Kunlun Xianzong: Among the three sects of Xianzong, Kunlun Sect is closest to the mortal world. It has a wide variety of Daoist methods and can be divided into two major categories: "Wen" (Literary) and "Wu" (Martial). The Tianwen Constellation governs the literary fortunes of the world, while the Tianwu Constellation governs the martial fortunes of the world. Due to its extremely limited transmission, it gradually disappeared after the Tang Dynasty. The four great immortals of Kunlun mentioned in "Xuānmén" - "Qin Qi Shu Hua" (Zither, Chess, Calligraphy and Painting) - brought a huge crisis to Emei Sect.
Penglai Xianzong: Located in the distant East Sea, divided into Fangzhang, Yingzhou, Penglai three islands, its cultivation method is the most unique. Practitioners often use fire burning, earth burial, water submersion and other ascetic practices to temper their mind, ultimately reaching the realm of shedding suffering and achieving eternal life. Skilled in manufacturing various divine clothes and armor, with the power to control the "metal, wood, water, fire, earth" five elements as the mainstay. Before the Tang Dynasty, the Penglai faction was very powerful, but later declined greatly. By the time of the "Xuānmén" period, the Penglai immortal art had developed into Eastern Ying ninja techniques, with a trend of resurgence, but its orthodox nature had changed, and it was often a strong and tyrannical force.
3, Taoist sect introduction: The Taoist sect is the most secular Taoist school, founded in the Han Dynasty, with the first ancestor being "Shou Chun Ba Gong" under the command of Huainan King. It is divided into nine schools: Jiuhua, Wutai, Qiyun, Laoshan, Sanqing, Qingcheng, Longhu, and Luofu. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, Luofu was destroyed, leaving seven schools, collectively known as "Taoist Seven Schools". The Taoist techniques mainly include setting up altars, holding rituals, catching ghosts, and driving out demons, which is relatively lower than Emei and Xianzong sects.
Although the Taoist sect is limited in power, the Emei sect has allied with them for generations because the Taoist sect possesses the ultimate means of eliminating evil Taoism. (The second half of "Xuān Mén" will gradually reveal the secrets of the Taoist sect.)
Jiuhua Sect - Leader Chen Yuanding, skilled in sword energy, focuses on refining the sword, divided into "Flowing Clouds and Water", "Unshot Shot" and "Thirteen Swords of Flowing Mountains". Proficient in the "Four Instruments Ten Thousand Sword Array", also one of the four most particular about etiquette and seniority. Jiuhua has a deep connection with Shushan, is the sect that supports Shushan the most firmly.
Wutai Sect - Leader He Zuoji, skilled in the Five Elements and also skilled in setting up the Buqi Formation. Under his seat are divided into five flags: "Black Water Flag", "Green Wood Flag", "Red Fire Flag", "Yellow Earth Flag" and "White Metal Flag". The five great flag-holding historians are Han Mingjiu, Lu Baiyang, Tu Miao Zhou, Ying Zhongyan, He Yushan. There are many disciples, but most of them are a motley crew, often interacting with Jianghu forces, jealous of the status of Emei Sect and always wanting to replace it, making it a relatively sinister sect.
Zi Yun Sect - The sect leader is Fan Zhen Tai, whose sect excels in fierce and powerful magic techniques, such as the Three Meditations True Fire and Palm Heart Thunder. He has a simple mind and his limbs are not well-developed.
Xuanshan Sect - Headed by Sun Ning Su, with the Taoist name "Nanming Xianweng", under him are disciples Zuo Xingfu, Zhenxiezi and Lu Changchun, three great disciples, most skilled in painting talismans and deploying heavenly garrison and other extraordinary techniques. The sect's style is quiet and still, the first orthodox sect to suffer a disaster of extermination in "Xuandao".
Sanqing Sect - Leader Chu Yuanchun, Daoist name "Yu Zhenzi", Shifu's younger sister Yuanxiu. All of her disciples are female, with the class name "Xiaoyuan Si Meng". Mengyue, Mengju, Mengqin, Mengyun, Menglan, Sijing, Qingqing, Siqiu, Sidong, Sixia (no Sichun). Strictly adhering to the rules of the sect, their skills are the weakest, but they excel at using talismans and water to cure illnesses and ward off evil spirits.
Qingcheng Sect - Headed by Zhou Shangyi, controlling various streets and alleys in Guancheng, considered a local tyrant. Eldest son rampaging through the countryside. Youngest son Zhou Tiancai was sent to Shushan for cultivation and became the most powerful among Shushan disciples, taking advantage of Master Liandu's closed-door meditation to bully fellow sect members.
Longhu Men - Leader Fang Heng, loves to refine elixirs, "Nine Cauldron Rotating Divine Skill", can capture various demons and monsters. Nine great disciples control the nine cauldrons: Hunyuan, Yixing, Zhengyi, Xiantian, Taizhen, Xuantiandi, Huazhen, Kangzhong, Lihuo. The nine great disciples are: Du Ming, Cheng Xue, Wan Changfeng, Bai Yunzi, Tang Quan, Liu Ziqiong, Zhuo Song, Huang Shiying, Tan Biao. Leader's son Fang Lingbao is the first disciple of Shushan Sect's Dan Medicine School. Most skilled in refining various strange and unusual elixirs.
