Motivation for Creation - Postscript Written in Advance Part Three
Written to the 88th chapter, the third part of "War Responsibility" can also be considered as a conclusion. Originally thought that the 78th chapter could be considered the end, but with the content behind, it actually ended up in this chapter. In fact, the key is that I don't keep inventory, write one chapter and release one chapter, the outline looks short, but it gets longer as you write.
Here I would like to thank the administrator of Qidian for making the cover.
I would also like to thank those readers. From the number of recommendations, I know that there is a batch of firm supporters.
To be honest, I'm really nervous about writing this kind of theme. My goal for this novel entering the starting point VIP is to make myself work hard and write with heart, and all the manuscript fees it earns on the starting point will be donated to China's Anti-Japanese War memorial activities.
Some readers may not have seen "The Motivation for Creation - Postscript Two", and asked the author if he is a Taiwanese. Here, I once again clearly tell everyone that I am a native-born Chinese, born under the red flag, grown up in new China.
I understand that these readers may be rare, perhaps because of the direct depiction of the Anti-Japanese War period, represented by an ordinary old Chinese detective.
I always feel that there is a misunderstanding in our education and propaganda, which is that the content of the Liberation War is propagated too much, while the propaganda for the Anti-Japanese War and the Resistance Against US Aggression and Aid to Korea is too little.
The Liberation War was great. Without it, there would be no People's Republic of China today, and I deeply love this country and the government that represents it.
Some people may ask, China is so good now, why do you still say that? My reason is very simple. Among the more than 60 million Chinese Communist Party members, the proportion of those who truly believe in communism and are willing to sacrifice for it is extremely small. Moreover, two things have made me firmly believe in it and join this organization.
One thing is the Party's "Resolution on Certain Historical Issues" in 1945 and "Resolution on Certain Questions in the History of Our Party Since the Founding of the People's Republic of China" in 1981. In these two documents, we can see a ruling party with great magnanimity, not hiding its own shortcomings and mistakes at all. These are open materials that can be searched online.
Another thing is reform and opening up. Which ruling party will reform its own governing system like this?
So I saw the greatness and prospects of China, so I love this party and the China it represents.
But what about the anti-Japanese war we experienced?
I do not deny that after the founding of New China, there was misleading propaganda about the War of Resistance Against Japan, but I express understanding, after all, it has too much historical context. Tell me, which political party does not promote itself?
It's just that now, I think it's time to loudly proclaim and comprehensively introduce the history of China's War of Resistance Against Japan, so that more people know that the great War of Resistance Against Japan was a war of resistance against aggressors by our entire nation, including overseas Chinese, with unprecedented unity! Why is it an unprecedented unity? You have to know that at that time, the leaders of various parties, governments and armies were generally around 40 years old. When they were young, it was during the high tide of China's anti-imperialist colonial rule. Which young person didn't have hot blood? So when facing the ferocious Japanese beasts, they didn't think like the Qing army that would collapse at a touch, but instead bravely went forward, using their own flesh and blood to make up for the disadvantage in weapons!
Think about it, that's why many overseas Chinese gave up their superior lives and came to this frontline where they could lose their lives at any time.
So I think that the War of Resistance against Japan was a re-condensation of national strength, and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea six years after the victory of the War of Resistance, marked the beginning of the Chinese people standing upright again in the East of the world!
So, in this book, I don't take the stand of either the Communist Party or the Nationalist Party, but only that of an ordinary Chinese. With the eyes of an ordinary Chinese, I look at the events and frictions between the Nationalist Party and the Communist Party during that period.
Talking about the friction during the Nationalist-Communist Anti-Japanese War, no matter how I look at it now, I just wonder how many people would have been heartbroken and worried about this friction back then. Maybe that's the difference between ordinary people and politicians.
Don't view the two parties during the Anti-Japanese War with the perspective of who was the main force, who eliminated the most Japanese, and other such views. The Anti-Japanese War wasn't a game or a sports competition, but rather each side using their own suitable methods to struggle and develop.
Also: At the starting point, I saw a book review: "The mixed black society is indeed more patriotic than ordinary people, they are action-oriented angry youth..."
I really don't know what to say in my heart. From some specific events, this sentence seems very appropriate, but it's not suitable for this book.
The anti-Japanese war lasted for 14 years from 1931, and more than 20 million Chinese people died. Among them were innocent people and martyrs who killed the enemy. Were there a few "gangsters" among these people?
China's War of Resistance, without a doubt, is a history that constantly evokes national self-esteem, it is an indomitable history of national struggle. All Chinese people from all over the world, from different social classes and professions, who else besides Han Chinese did not participate in it?
This book only wanted to reflect on that period of history through a few main characters, but was misunderstood by some readers. As a Chinese person and as an author, who can understand the frustration I feel when typing out this passage?
I bluntly say that anyone who says this can be summed up in two words: "Ignorant"!
December 25, 2004, outside the window, various hotels and shopping malls in the city were decorated with red lanterns and green wine, celebrating Christmas, which originally belonged to Christ. Ironically, one of the founders of New China, Chairman [**], was also born today, but how many people know about it?
Nowadays, China is getting stronger and stronger, nowadays Japan is also getting more and more arrogant, nowadays [**] elements are also getting more and more unaware of the height of heaven and earth, but among those young people who are celebrating "Christmas", who has seriously thought about this issue?
Who still remembers the war of national dignity nearly seventy years ago? Who has gone to bless the border guards stationed in various parts of the motherland now? And who has thought about and cared for families still living in poverty in central and western China?
Every time I write these words, my nose becomes sour.
Almost seventy years ago, countless outstanding sons and daughters of China fulfilled their responsibilities as Chinese people for the sake of national independence and dignity; nearly seventy years later, there are still countless outstanding sons and daughters of China who are fulfilling their responsibilities as Chinese people for the prosperity and strength of the motherland!
Responsibility for resisting the war!
Chiang Kai-shek aside, this statement is truly astonishing! It reminds me of the debate during the early years of the PRC and after the end of the Cultural Revolution about whether "The March of the Volunteers" was suitable as a national anthem.
Chairman and Comrade Deng Xiaoping said in unison: "The sentence 'the Chinese nation has reached the most critical moment' written inside is well-written, reminding our comrades to strive for self-improvement at all times."
Yes, the War of Resistance, that is our national dignity, the responsibility of the War of Resistance, is our national spirit!
Written at the end of Chapter 88?
