Chapter 7: The Turbulent Journey (Part 2)

  The convoy slowly drove out of the national border and entered the territory of Country D. After passing through the border inspection station of Country D, it drove at a moderate speed along a narrow road beside the primeval forest.

  Deep in the dense tropical rainforest, a hidden mercenary observed the convoy with hawk-like vigilance until it disappeared from his binoculars. He then picked up the satellite phone and spoke in a low tone: "Colonel, our prey has arrived! They're heading southeast at 40 miles per hour."

  "Don't rush, this place is too close to the Chinese border. Once they engage our people, their reinforcements will arrive quickly. Put them in an ambush circle and launch a surprise attack, you return to the team immediately." The colonel's response came through the receiver.

  The air in the tropical rainforest is exceptionally fresh, with a strong scent of trees wafting through the air. Lin Ruo Lan gazed out of the car window at the mysterious tropical rainforest, this being her first close encounter with a primitive forest.

  From the eyes to the soul, everything was submerged in green, with various levels of extremely clean green surrounding from all sides. The bullet had penetrated his bulletproof vest and lodged in his shoulder.

  "Grenade!" Cheng Xiaopeng shouted loudly as he and Ma Ping simultaneously fired two grenade shots, the shrapnel from the mid-air explosion scattered everywhere, the mercenaries retreated in disarray, gradually falling into Jin Hao's ambush.

  Lin Jie picked up the sniper rifle, accurately firing two shots, and the two slowest mercenaries were knocked down by bullets. He rushed to Lei Meng's side and flipped out a first-aid kit.

  The colonel and the sniper had already retreated to the edge of the dense forest, carrying Mark's wife. Jin Huan suddenly jumped up, kicking the colonel to the ground with a series of kicks. Jin Huan's right foot hooked around the colonel's right leg, gathering all his strength to charge at him! At the same time, he lifted his right foot up, and the colonel was knocked backwards by a powerful force, his head smashing into a hard stone on the ground like a watermelon, shattering into pieces.

  At the same time, the mercenary sniper carrying Mrs. Mark had already retreated into the woods. Chen Jianfeng stood still and shot without hesitation. "Bang" after the gunshot, the mercenary sniper's skull was completely blown off, slowly falling to the ground.

  Then, Cheng Xiaopeng rushed to the cliff and held Lin Ruolan's sliding body.
