The cruise ship was from the Ming Bay Lian Shipping Bureau, so Lori found a lot of information about Ming Bay Lian in her cabin. This allowed her to learn about this country for the first time: The Kingdom of Ming Bay Lian is a small island nation, with seven small islands surrounding a central large island. The central island is divided into four districts: the modernized Central District in the middle, the Western Port Area, the Northern Plantation Area, and the quiet and beautiful Ancient Banyan Area in the southeast. Among them, the Ancient Banyan Area is the most beautiful region. The ship will dock at the Royal Harbor in the west, while the academies are concentrated at the intersection of the Ancient Banyan Area and the Plantation Area in the northeast. The surrounding seven small islands are like stars surrounding the moon, each with its own characteristics.
The ship sailed on the vast and endless sea for more than a week, finally seeing green vegetation. This was the place she had been longing for, gazing out of the window, only to see distant mountains outside at first, gradually appearing large and small ships anchored, and finally dense banyan trees filled her eyes.
She walked down the big ship, out of the port, and as soon as she exited, she saw the cars from various schools picking up new students. Luo Lian directly headed to the Mingwan University Ocean College pick-up point, where senior students helped her move her things onto the car. She leaned against the window seat, waiting until the car was full before it started moving, turning a corner and driving along the tree-lined avenue.
Luo Lian sat only half of the chair, leaning against the glass window, looking at the scenery all the way. This city is not more prosperous than her hometown, but it is a thousand times more beautiful and ten thousand times quieter. Before leaving the station, there were almost no cars on the road, and the tree-lined avenue did not need to be constrained by guardrails. The towering and intimidating ones were not skyscrapers, but sturdy street trees. Under the street trees, flowers covered the ground, with strange lights and colors, but without regular patterns, completely scattered randomly, and piled up into a piece, a pool, and a whole street.
Unlike the crowded Hong Kong, Ming Bay in Lia has vast open spaces with long leafy flowers everywhere, but few buildings can be seen. Although it is a small island country, land use is very generous. The highest building along the street is only three stories high, and the garden under each building has its own unique features, standing independently as a scenic spot, half hidden and half visible among the lush trees and flowers on the streets.
Looking up at the sky again, it turns out that the spotless sky is so ethereal. She has never seen such a blue sky before, nor has she ever seen clouds as white as this. The sky is like transparent water, and the clouds are like soft gauze, so light, so light. Luo Lian stretches her hand out of the car window, as if she can touch the sky. The sky and she are one entity, and Luo Lian feels as though she's living in heaven. And although the sunlight is bright, it doesn't have any scorching intensity; the wind blows on her arm, carrying a coolness that makes Luo Lian forget that this is still the end of August back home, when the heat is unbearable, and instead think that it's spring.
The whole world was so peaceful and quiet, without the sound of cars rushing by, the noise of machinery construction, or the chatter of people. I walked through several streets, all of which were covered in greenery, and didn't even see a few people.
Lian was delighted by the serene, simple, and vibrant flowers and trees under the light clouds of blue sky, but someone expressed a different preference: "Is this what you call an international metropolis? Not even a skyscraper!"
The carriage was silent, and the only response came from the driver in the front: "Don't underestimate Ming Bay, this is a place where dragons and tigers are hidden, even famous scholars and beautiful women from afar come here to hide."
Everyone listened and fell into their own thoughts.
