Chapter 10: 04 Wrongly killing the woman he loved most

  I like you, kitty.

He had been wanting to say this for a long time, but he was afraid that if he spoke out, he would lose everything he had gained so far.

He gazed at her silently for a moment, then looked away gloomily, his head tilted to one side.

The clouds parted and the sun came out. The cat saw a faint ray of sunlight fall on his face outside the window, although his body had almost recovered, but his skin was still somewhat pale and sickly.

When the door was pushed open, she saw Wei Chi walking in, followed by the police officer who had previously controlled Liang Chen.

"How is it?" The cat jumped up and asked a sentence.

Liang Chen only knew that he was going to be taken back to prison, his mood somewhat depressed, and he leaned listlessly against the bed.

"It's all right." Wei Chi supported the shoulder of Mao Ni, comforting him with a sentence. He had already discussed it with the lawyer and Liang Chen's matter could finally be settled. "The matter has nothing to do with him, he's fine now."

"Really?" The cat smiled, and all its efforts over the past few days had finally paid off.

Li Chen didn't notice what they were saying, staring out the window until the police officer walked up to him and bent down to unlock the handcuffs on his hands, at which point he looked surprised.

"You have been acquitted, good student. The police officer's face also had a smile on it, "Your friends all believed in you and found the most powerful evidence for you, so you have been ruled out as a suspect. So, I'll take this away." The police officer waved the handcuffs in his hand, nodded slightly at Wei Chi before opening the door and leaving.

Things happened too suddenly, and Liang Chen was a bit unresponsive. He stared at his left hand, finally casting his gaze towards Wei Chi and Mao Ni.

"Let him take a look at that letter." Meow looked towards Wei Chi.

Wei Chi had this intention, and it was time to tell Liang Chen. He took out his phone and handed it to Liang Chen: "We went to your house, took a few photos, take a look, and there's also a letter, but because it's physical evidence, we gave it to the police, however I took pictures."

Liang Chen took over Wei Chi's phone, and his heart was somewhat unclear about what was going on, but he didn't ask much. The first photo that caught his eye was the living room of his own home. Although it had been a long time since he'd seen it, he could still recognize it at a glance.

The second photo is of his own bedroom, which hasn't changed much since he left, but thinking about that night makes his breathing heavier.

The third photo was of Father's bedroom. Liang Chen furrowed his brow, and although it was just a bedroom, he couldn't shake off the strange feeling in his heart. This dark cloud had shrouded him for too long, and every time he learned something new about his father, he would think of his own inadequacies, and the bloody smell on his body seemed to be spreading again.

The next one was his own certificate, big and small, covering an entire wall, some of which had turned yellow and moldy. It touched a painful spot in his heart, and his hand clenched the quilt, pulling out fine wrinkles.

The next one was that letter, and upon seeing the familiar handwriting, his hand involuntarily trembled slightly.

The cat watched him finish the letter with a serious expression, as if he didn't want to miss a single word. Finally, his body trembled slightly, and he pressed his lips together with great force, but refused to shed a single tear.

  Xiao Chen:

When you read this letter, Father is already dead. Actually, I didn't want to show you something like this, because I know that even if you see it, you won't forgive me.

I know that recently I've been regaining my sanity less and less, I feel like there's a devil constantly eroding my will, dragging me to a place called hell.

In this life of mine, I've done too many wrong things. What I regret most is that with my own hands, I wrongly killed the woman I loved the most.
