Chapter 8: 08, everyone says I dont need you

Chapter 8: You said I don't need you

The men just came back to their senses and saw Jing holding a mobile phone against his ear: "Hello, is this 110? Mingze High School, first grade, class three..."

The man threw down the cat and ran away before he could finish speaking, just to teach him a lesson, or else even the teachers would be called over.

Watching as the men's silhouettes disappeared at the end of the corridor, her body's strength seemed to be sucked away, and she lowered her hands. However, she quickly came to her senses and rushed over to pick up Catnip.

The cat has tidied up its clothes, thrown away the broken coat, and is wearing a thin shirt leaning on the ground, with brown bloodstains still on its face.

"Are you okay, Meow?" Jing hurried over with concern, but just as her hand touched her arm, she was forcefully shaken off by Meow.

"Go away! I told you not to interfere with my business!" Cat Ni ignored Jing's stunned face, got up from the ground and rushed out of the classroom in one breath. As she was going down the stairs, her foot slipped and she fell heavily on the stairs.

Jing, who was chasing from behind, happened to see this scene. A look of anxious concern flashed across her face as she wanted to go down and help the cat up, but just as she walked a few meters away, the cat got up by itself.

Pursed lips standing in place, looking at the cat's back facing itself, standing on the dark stairs, holding onto the railing, body slightly trembling.

"What are you following me for?" The cat's tone was flat, cold as the winter wind, but she knew her eyes had already turned red.

Jing didn't say anything, perhaps she didn't know what to say.

"I've told you to leave!" Cat Ni didn't turn around, wiping away the hot tears welling up in her eyes. "Are you standing there just to mock me? Let me tell you, I don't need you at all! I can be fine on my own!"

Jing remained silent, gazing at the thin back of Miao, her eyes filled with sorrow. After a moment, she slowly walked behind Miao and placed her hand on her shoulder.

The cat's tears burst out at that moment, and the hand holding the railing couldn't help but tremble.

"From the moment you confirmed that I'm your friend, I vowed to stand by your side no matter what happens, so I won't leave. Even if you don't need me, I'll still be with you." Jing's voice was not loud, and it even trembled slightly with a hint of fear of being rejected, but Miao Ni felt her strength.

"Kitty, let me stay by your side... We are friends, aren't we? Friends should share happiness and pain together, right?"

"They all say I can be fine on my own! They all said I don't need you anymore...... What's the point of saying these things......" Meow Nai shouted, and before she could even respond, she was hugged tightly by Meow Nai. Meow Nai sobbed a few times, and her tears quickly wetted Jing's shoulder.

My heart felt like it was suddenly soaked in warm waves, my nose turned sour, and hot tears burst out.

Miao Ni didn't go back to the classroom, and instead took Jing directly to the school gate. Jing wanted Miao Ni to wear his clothes, but Miao Ni refused: "You always catch a cold, and then you'll have to ask for leave to go home again."

She smiled and didn't say anything: "Where are we going?"

"I want to go to prison and see Liang Chen, but I don't know if he'll see me." Mao Ni sat on the bus and began telling Jing about what happened yesterday.

  Ming Ze Prison

"Hey, that Lian Chen guy, someone's looking for you!" The police officer knocked on the prison door, his voice echoing through the quiet corridor.

"Not in sight." Liang Chen replied indifferently, his black fringe covering his eyes. He was wearing a white padded prison uniform and had thrown over it the black coat he had worn when he came. He leaned against the corner of the wall, staring at the only window.

"It's not the woman from yesterday. This guy is not someone to be trifled with, you'd better come out and meet him." The police officer looked at the business card in his hand, originally it wasn't visiting hours now, but this person's background... was not ordinary, it's still best not to offend him.

Liang Chen moved his eyes slightly, seemingly guessing who the person was. He stood up from the corner. The police saw this and opened the prison door, taking the apathetic teenager outside.
