Chapter 3: 03 So young yet daring to eat a tyrant's meal
The sky is turning late, and the white floating clouds are stained with heavy gray black.
The cat cried and got tired, so it sat dazedly under the abandoned street lamp, leaning against the lamppost, watching the passersby, with a distant river view, the faint light of the lighthouse gently trembling on the rippling water surface.
A tempting aroma wafted through the air, and my stomach growled a few times. The cat, wearing a sick suit, walked along the scent to the entrance of a restaurant.
She licked her lips, and the messy big characters on the restaurant signboard were reflected in her eyes. If she didn't eat something, she would starve to death. She thought, clenched her fists, and walked in with dignity.
The service staff at the entrance did not suspect her and thought she was a child brought by some adult.
The cat sat in the corner by the door, learning from others to pick up the menu on the table: "This, this, and this." After ordering with a mouthful of saliva, the waiter looked at her with some suspicion. She stretched out her hand and shook it, and the diamond on her ring sparkled under the light.
The waiter was reassured and no longer suspicious, and immediately instructed to serve the dishes.
She took a deep breath and prepared to have a big meal. After the dishes came up, she immediately wolfed down her food without any elegance. When the boss passed by, he didn't even give her an extra glance.
"Just a little kid. Did she bring any money?" The boss beckoned the waiter over and asked suspiciously.
"She still had a diamond ring on her hand." The waiter replied, "It should be fine."
"Keep an eye on me tightly, don't let anything go wrong."
"Uh-huh."
The cat also noticed this scene, she finished the last mouthful of soup and stretched out her tongue to lick her own mouth corner, staring at the waiter with an unwavering gaze.
The young waiter finally felt embarrassed by her gaze and turned around, pretending to be busy with other things.
It's now. The cat seizes the opportunity, quickly throws away the chopsticks, scurries down from the chair and rushes to the door at a rapid speed.
After successfully rushing out of the door, she ran down the pitch-black street with her head down, countless pairs of shoes passing in front of her eyes, and all she could hear was the whistling wind by her ear and the tense cries of the waitress.
"Hey! Little girl, you haven't paid yet."
"Hurry up and chase after him!"
"Don't let her get away!"
Boom... Boom... Boom, the drumbeat of her heartbeat grew more intense, she clutched at her chest, and couldn't help but turn around to take a look. Just then, a strong hand suddenly grabbed her arm, lifting her off the ground. She was so startled that she let out a loud shriek, attracting the attention of passersby.
The entire weight hung on her shoulders, her arms ached as if they were going to break, she bit her lip and didn't let the humble tears fall.
"Damn it, you dare to come out and eat a free meal at such a young age, aren't you tired of living?" The man spoke viciously. She shrank her neck, then widened her eyes and stared back.
"How dare you glare at me? Just wait and see, I'll teach you a lesson by reporting you to the boss. You're going to get a good scolding." The man pinched her face and prepared to drag her back.
"I'm not going, let me go, save me! Save me!" Meow cried out loudly, hoping someone could help her, but the passersby who saw the waiter and the man's ferocious appearance behind her withdrew their sympathetic expressions and looked at her with a sympathetic gaze.
"What a pity! So young and already so spoiled, I don't know how their parents taught them."
"Alas, poor..."
The cat seemed to have heard a great insult, and glared at them fiercely, shouting: "Yes, I'm not taught by anyone, don't need you people to teach me!"
"Shut up! You still dare to be stubborn." The man had wanted to use force to grab her arm, but suddenly saw the ring on her hand and his eyes lit up immediately.
