Chapter Fifty-Six

  Chapter Fifty-six

  "Teacher, I'm willing too."

Xiao Su suddenly also followed up with a sentence, and the classroom behind him was filled with loud laughter.

  "I'm willing, I'm also willing."

The girls in the back row of the classroom also followed Xiao Su and made a fuss, making Dong Xiaohui's face turn red with anger, she was so angry that she wanted to rush over and strangle them to death.

Seeing this, the class teacher slammed a few times on the table and scared the girl in the front row who was excited to jump up. She said loudly: "Since you all want to be Tang Renjie's deskmate, then let Tang Renjie choose his own deskmate! Does anyone have any objections?"

  "No."

  "Yes."

The girls' loud cries of 'no' drowned out the boys' 'yes'. The class teacher nodded and asked, "Tang Renjie, you choose your own desk mate. Who do you want to sit with?"

He narrowed his eyes, and with a slender finger, he slightly adjusted the frame of his glasses on the bridge of his nose. His gaze swept towards the corner of the classroom, causing those girls to shriek even louder. When his gaze landed on me, a hint of disdain flashed across his face, and the corner of his mouth curled up in an expression that was begging to be slapped.

  "It's her."

Three words were spat out, and the corners of his lips slightly curled up.

Everyone in the classroom looked over in the direction he was pointing.

I looked at him with a puzzled expression, pulled his sleeve and asked: "What's wrong, what's going on?"

"Congratulations, that sly fox is going to be your deskmate, however..." The fox raised an eyebrow, with a mischievous look on his face.

  "But what?"

I felt a sense of foreboding in my heart and asked in a low voice.

"However, poor 13th generation. The girls in your class. I reckon they won't give you a good face to look at from now on."

I glanced around at those who were about to

  "Yes!" I replied listlessly.

Looking at those girls one by one gnashing their teeth, hating me so much that they would peel my skin and tear my bones apart to swallow me whole.

"Who would have thought that our class's two new students both like sitting at the same desk as Xia Qinghe so much."

The class teacher squeezed out from between her teeth, and I heard it with a heart of trepidation.

It can't be that even our class teacher is jealous of me?

I've been thinking that I'm quite strange these days. Apart from being late, I haven't done anything to offend her, so why does she always have an expression as if she wants to eat me alive whenever she sees me?

"Alright, Tang Renjie, you can take a seat now, class is about to start."

Then I heard the fox beside me let out a heavy hum, stretched out its hand and pulled my school bag out from under the desk, starting to rummage through it.

"What are you trying to do now?"

I pressed down on my backpack with one hand and watched him warily, seeing his eyebrows furrowed, eyelids lifted, and he gave me a white eye.

  "Cut."

He didn't say much more, and snatched it over, flipping through it a few times.

Suddenly, his face turned pale, with a furious expression as if his whiskers were about to explode. He abruptly lifted his head and stared at me, asking: "Where's the food? Why is there no more food? Did you secretly eat it all by yourself?"

I was really fed up with him, not angry or laughing, but patiently suppressing the anger in my heart, I said to him: "There were only three breads in your backpack, you ate one, dropped one on the ground, I ate one, and now they're all gone, isn't that normal? Why are you making such a big fuss?"

  "Really?"

The fox looked at me with an innocent face, and its eyes sparkled with a hint of curiosity.
