Chapter Nineteen

A nine-tailed fox fell from the sky

"What's on your mind?" I asked excitedly.

The fox's face broke into a smile, revealing a mouthful of shiny white teeth, and its head suddenly leaned forward.

I felt a wave of heat rushing towards my ear, feeling his hand leave my face, sliding down from the bottom, flowing to my shoulder, and then sliding all the way down, wandering on my back.

He spoke in a low, hoarse voice and asked me, "Do you have any special feeling?"

"No, nothing." I replied with a slightly trembling voice.

I can feel my face burning red, looking around at the empty surroundings, although there is a ghost, but I think even if she saw the fox bullying me, she wouldn't come out to help me.

But in the next second, something even more unexpected happened.

"Hey, you... what do you want to do?"

I grabbed the fox's hand that was about to reach under my skirt, lowered my voice, and said with a mysterious face: "Can you... can you take your hand away first? There's a female ghost on the other side of the river, if she sees this, it will be very bad for our reputation!"

"What does she count as." The fox smiled slyly, withdrew his hand and pointed to the other side of the river, saying in a low voice: "Can you also see her?"

"Hmm." I nodded blankly, and after a while, I curiously asked him: "Can you also see her?"

He didn't answer, but instead smiled wildly and slapped my head several times with his hand. I suddenly saw a few stars spinning in front of my eyes, so I shook my head hard and pouted, not wanting to pay attention to him anymore.

"Let's put it this way, your special eyes are more precious than that so-called Demon-Sealing Symbol. Those demons are really foolish to want the symbol. If I were them, I would definitely come and dig out your eyeballs, see how you can still spy on the world of demons in the future."

Although he was smiling as he spoke, his teeth were clenched tightly.

  "No way!"

When I heard him say that, I couldn't help but feel a little scared, and suddenly felt a chill run down my back, and my body began to shiver uncontrollably.

  "Are you feeling very scared?"

He lowered his voice and whispered in my ear, "I know he just wants to see me make a fool of myself." So I took a deep breath, looked him straight in the eye and said calmly, "Don't be afraid, it's just a pair of eyes. If they want them, they can come and take them, I'm not afraid of them."

"You don't know how high the sky is or how thick the earth is." He sneered and turned his head away, ignoring me.

The cold wind blows, and the two of us have been lying on the ground for over ten minutes. My eyes are fixed on the woods, where Zhang Ruofei ran in earlier. She still hasn't come back yet. The longer I wait, the more uneasy I feel. I turn to look at Hu Li and ask, "Can you help me find Zhang Ruofei?"

"Huang Ruofei?" The fox spirit muttered to herself, furrowing her brow in displeasure. "Who is Huang Ruofei? I don't recall ever meeting someone like that."

  "It's just, it's just..."

I thought about it, and they really hadn't met each other before.

I was worried about Zhang Ruo Fei's safety, so I went to the forest alone to look for her. But I was really scared and had no choice but to swallow my pride and ask the smelly fox for help.

I crawled a bit on the ground and got a little closer to the fox, "Can you accompany me to that grove of trees to look for him?"

  "I won't go."

He didn't even think about it and immediately refused.
