Chapter 75 The road is long and distant, I will go up and down while 498

The sky is dimly lit at noon. Looking out of the window into the darkness, there are only stars twinkling in the sky, shining vaguely.

Wang Chan was soaking in a large wooden tub, with his neck and below submerged in scalding hot medicinal broth. His two arms were stretched out on the rim of the tub, and from his mouth came intermittent bursts of massive, tiger-like roars.

His two arms below the forearm, at this time all uniformly turned outwards with a metallic color like pure steel and iron, six large packages bulging high like small umbrellas, each with a small hole at the top slowly flowing out dark purple thick blood.

That's obviously the "pathological change" of blood stasis and congestion in the body, which can only appear after necrosis.

But this was just Wang Chan being ambushed by Shao Nanhua in the State Guest House, unable to dodge in time, and being struck by a seven-star needle that broke through his outer armor and directly injured his bones.

Shaonan Hua's seven-star needle gun is different from the traditional hidden weapon kung fu in Chinese martial arts. Not only is the craftsmanship more exquisite than before, but the spring force is also incredibly strong. Moreover, the material of the seven-star needles themselves is a high-tech special alloy, which is usually used in the field of aviation to make satellites and spacecraft. When fired at close range, it can penetrate a one-inch thick steel plate. Even if you wear bulletproof clothing that can block bullets, you will still be shot into a sieve and die on the spot.

So Wang Chan, although he had mastered the Buddhist martial arts to an extremely high level, almost reaching the pinnacle of perfection, with his internal and external skills fully integrated and transparent, was shot by this bullet. Although he didn't die, his body definitely did not feel good afterwards.

Especially when the seven-star needle was shot into his skin, injuring his bones and breaking his tendons. The injury wasn't as simple as it looked on the surface. The seven steel needles, each as thick as a cow's hair, caused swelling of the tendons and bones, which was even more severe than being hit repeatedly with an iron club as thick as a duck egg one hundred times. It was excruciatingly painful.

Fortunately, Leiting was also a skilled martial artist, and his family had all the precious herbs needed to ensure his practice. The categories were complete, and Wang Chan didn't stand on ceremony, personally going to the warehouse to select dozens of medicinal materials for internal and external use. Finally, he even drove away Leiting and ordered someone to boil a large bucket of hot water for a medicinal bath.

There has long been a saying among the people that "hurt tendons and move bones for 100 days". People who practice boxing or martial arts, whether they are fighting with others or practicing at home, often suffer from injuries to their skin and flesh. However, tendon and bone injuries are different from those of the skin and flesh. If one is not an expert and is slightly careless in handling them, it can lead to hidden dangers in the body that affect one's vital energy.

It's just like Wang Chan this time. He was injured by a hidden weapon, and from the outside, it looked like only a few thin needles were inserted into his skin. It didn't seem serious, and he could have simply pulled them out and walked away. But what he didn't know was that these steel needles had penetrated to the bone, and the worst part was that using brute force to pull them out would cause the needles to rotate, damaging the bone marrow. To a certain extent, it would also greatly affect his nerve reactions in the future.

To get rid of these few steel needles again, it is still necessary to start from the extremely subtle inside.

The king's Chan therapy walks on this road, and it is necessary to use the internal family's true energy to contain the injured area. From the inside out, wrap around the extremely sharp steel needles. Then operate the air work, turn the power of the air and blood, condense on the forearm, can only slowly squeeze these steel needles like cow hair from his tendons, bones, skin and flesh.

In this way, the true energy permeates the skin, flesh, bones and joints, and the muscles, bones and skin have a buffering protection, so that one can avoid greater harm. However, the steps are testing whether a person's internal family true energy has reached the realm of subtlety, and such a degree is what even Wang Chan himself achieved only after practicing the Nine-Turns Returning Dan Method recorded in the third volume of the Huang Ting Jing for several days recently. If it were a few days earlier, this wound would have required surgery at a large hospital to reach the same level as today.

Using Western medical methods to cut open the skin and remove the needle, even if the doctor's technique is very skilled, it will not damage the bone marrow. However, Western medicine requires anesthesia during surgery, which can also harm a person's nervous system.

  Ding!

The last steel needle on Wang Chan's arm was finally squeezed out slowly, falling to the ground with a faint sound. This small steel needle, no more than an inch long, had a density several times that of ordinary metal, even heavier than fine steel. No wonder it could penetrate bulletproof glass after being shot out of the needle tube at a speed faster than a bullet.

With a splash, he put his two arms back into the wooden bucket and washed them again, letting the boiling medicinal liquid moisten the wound. After a while, Wang Chan stood up stark naked from the water, wiped his body clean, and without putting on any clothes, came to the center of the bedroom, and set up the Tian Di Gen Zhuang frame.

With a single stance, Wang Chan's hands clasped together in front of his chest, his center of gravity slightly lowered, like a bear awakening from hibernation and a bird stretching its wings. The quiet room was filled with the sound of rushing water, gurgling up from his abdomen. Whooshing, rumbling, it was as if a stormy sea was raging beneath him, waves crashing against the shore, mountains trembling with thunder. It was also like a vast grassland where thousands of horses galloped, invading hundreds of miles. The sky above was filled with dark clouds, lightning flashing and thunder booming, all connected in one piece.

At the same time, Wang Chan's throat was deep and loud, with a series of tiger roars, one breath at a time, his mouth and nose were closed, and the white air went in and out.

As the sound in his abdomen grew more urgent and louder, Wang Chan's entire body began to undergo extremely violent tremors, from head to toe, from inside to outside, every muscle vibrating at a speed invisible to the human eye. His whole skin was like a single entity, like ripples on water, layer upon layer, surging outward!

This is him using his vital energy to stir up the five internal organs and six hollow organs, mobilizing the large intestine and small intestine. Shaking off the true inner strength of the family, like washing a dirty car from the inside out, scrubbing away the diseased parts of the body. However, his method of sound is actually within the thirteen Taibao horizontal training skills, which he had never used before

He used to practice the easy tendons and strong bones. From outside to inside, sprouting internal strength. He practiced the external hard work to the extreme, but was unable to reverse it from inside to outside. He practiced through the tendons and bones. This made the internal family method a great success, so although he had long known the method of changing blood and washing marrow, Wang Chan never dared to try it out rashly.

It must be known that the blood vessels on the human body are like rivers, and they are the foundation of life. The bone marrow is the source of the blood vessels, and its importance is second only to the brain. Once damaged, it can lead to paralysis or lifelong bedriddenness in mild cases, and loss of life in severe cases, which cannot be compensated for by any means.

This time, Wang Chan also succeeded in his tempered bone after being injured. He had the intention to try out the legendary blood washing and marrow cleansing technique recorded in the horizontal smelting method, and see what was so magical about it.

Indeed. As soon as Wang Chan stood up, a rumbling thunderous sound emerged from his lower abdomen and throat, causing his entire body to tremble like water. In just an instant, Wang Chan felt a warm energy suddenly rising up from his lower abdomen, this energy did not flow through the meridians or enter the skin, muscles, or tendons, but instead suddenly surged into the bones, circulating throughout his limbs and hundreds of joints. Immediately, he felt a warm and comfortable sensation in every bone.

It's like a rare sunny day in the depths of winter. There is no wind, and the warm sunlight shines on my face and neck, filling me with a sense of intoxicating warmth. But this warmth doesn't come from outside; it arises directly from deep within my bones, spreading throughout my body as if the stagnant marrow has suddenly been revitalized. Everything about me is in harmony.

This feeling is completely different from when he trained his muscles before. Although at that time, Wang Chan was already proficient in boxing techniques and could cultivate internal energy through the movement of his internal organs during practice, producing shockwaves like thunderclaps, washing and refining his muscles and skin, increasing his physical strength. However, back then, the object of his training was only his fleshly body, just like a blacksmith hammering away at hot steel, fiercely tempering only his physical body, equivalent to refining iron ore into "pig iron".

Nowadays, the marrow washing and blood changing directly enter the bone marrow, slightly shocking and enlarging the foundation. It is equivalent to forging iron ingots into fine steel through repeated hammering. Although they are closely linked, there is an essential difference between them.

"People only know that when they get sick, they need to take medicine, but they don't realize that this is also like trying to quench thirst by drinking poison. All medicines have a third part of toxicity, and over time, the five organs accumulate toxins, unable to bear the burden, and longevity becomes premature death! Alas, people don't know that the human body is a great treasure trove, encompassing all things, corresponding to the universe, but they are foolish. They only seek outside, not inside, neglecting the preciousness of their own bodies."

"Ordinary people may not all be like me, with each one being internally and externally harmonious. They may have the opportunity to change their blood and marrow, transform their body and bones. Easy to change tendons and strengthen bones. Strengthening the body's energy, they can mostly achieve this, and when the time comes, a hundred illnesses will not arise. Isn't that stronger than taking medicine by a hundred times!!"

Again, after circulating twice in his body, Wang Chan only felt a slight numbness and soreness in the depths of his bones. He immediately knew that he couldn't push it any further, and if he forced himself, it would be counterproductive. So, he slowly retracted his energy and took deep breaths. A large mouthful of air was swallowed into his abdomen, like a huge stone falling into a well - gurgling! His face turned rosy, and his spirit was revitalized to the fullest. The physical strength that had been consumed when he used all his might to force out the Seven Star Needles had also fully recovered at this point.

Looking again at the two small arms, I saw that those several high and swollen places had dissipated by more than half, and the blood exposed outside the needle holes had also returned to its normal color.

He gently moved his hands a few times, feeling the flow of blood in his forearm, and there was no longer anything unusual about it. Wang Chan didn't relax until then, knowing that his injury had only just now completely healed.

"No wonder the old man was over a hundred years old and still in good health. One day, I didn't see him practicing boxing, but every time we sparred, he could still beat me to a pulp. It's because he had practiced his internal energy and blood circulation to the point of exchanging blood and marrow washing. Even if he didn't move for a whole day, he could still circulate his internal energy through his five organs, making his blood circulation faster than normal people by several times. Whether sitting or walking, it was all practice for him. With abundant internal energy and no waste in his body, of course, he wouldn't get sick and would live long. Unfortunately, the old man had been injured too many times when he was young, and even though his kung fu skills improved when he got older, he couldn't fully recover. Otherwise, he could have lived for at least another 50 years. It seems that my horizontal training is just a beginner's level, and loosening tendons and strengthening bones are also basic. Only this blood exchange and marrow washing is the true essence."

However, the step of blood washing and marrow cleansing is extremely dangerous. The last step even needs to reach the brain. If you are not careful, you will die immediately, and the cultivation method is similar to the three volumes of Huang Ting Jing's Taoist qigong, which is called "brewing the sea of marrow" and "creating something out of nothing". The true energy rises to the Muduan Palace, and the original spirit resides in the Yellow Court. Is it possible that my thirteen Taibao horizontal cultivation method also originated from a Taoist predecessor? In any case, this step must be extremely careful and cannot be rushed!

He spent the whole day flipping through the three volumes of "Huang Ting Jing" given to him by Zhang Daocheng, and he had long been familiar with the family's qigong techniques. Now, he tried again the technique of exchanging blood and washing the marrow in his own horizontal qigong method, and immediately found many similarities after mutual verification, as if they could be shared.

This is the kind of person Wang Chan is, and that's why he can make a name for himself. Because his heart is pure and his mind is focused on martial arts, his spirit is clear and bright like a mirror. After practicing both Buddhist and Taoist methods, he has achieved something in both areas. His horizontal practice of kung fu and the Taoist method of nine turns to refine the elixir have also helped him make rapid progress in a short period of time. When Wang Chan was studying the three volumes of "Huang Ting Jing", he didn't blindly follow the annotations written by Wang Chongyang himself, but instead used his own experience to verify and compare them, which turned out to be more suitable for his temperament.

After all, Wang Chongyang himself did not penetrate these three classics back then. If Wang Chan's thoughts were correct, these three volumes of the "Huangting Jing" should have been obtained by Wang Chongyang along with the seven so-called Tian Gang stones from Lü Dongbin and Han Zhongli. However, he couldn't figure it out no matter what, as if these three volumes of extremely important scriptures would be neglected for hundreds of years under the Quanzhen School, only to end up in the hands of Zhang Daocheng, also known as Zhang Laodao, at Taiching Palace on Mount Yun.

Unless these three volumes of scriptures were privately left by Wang Chongyang for his master Zhang Daocheng's ancestor, the True Man Liu Chuxuan!

Wang Zhen can see from the annotations of Huang Ting Jing that Wang Chongyang was also a half-way monk at that time and did not practice Daoist Qigong to the ultimate realm. At least this person had many mundane affairs in those years, and after cultivating the Tao, he still missed the worldly dust, raised troops to resist the Jin Dynasty, and later was restricted by external objects, establishing the Quanzhen Taoist sect, wandering among the red dust.

This being the case, to spend limited time on other unnecessary things, Wang Chan's heart was not in favor of it. If not, with Wang Chongyang's skills, if he retreated into the deep mountains and devoted himself to cultivation, he might have achieved a high level that others could hardly reach. Or perhaps he would have become an immortal, living forever without dying. There was also a possibility of this happening.

It seems that after his death, Zhang Sanfeng, an old Taoist in the later generations of his descendants, did much better than him on this point, having feigned death several times. Hundreds of years later, it is said that some people can still see this slovenly Taoist in certain places from time to time.

However, this does not hinder Wang Zhen's admiration and reverence for the ancient great master Wang Chongyang. After all, Wang Zhen is now standing on the shoulders of countless predecessors. Looking back, especially after the late Qing dynasty, with the rise of firearms, the transmission of martial arts has had a brilliant resurgence in just over a hundred years. During this period, many masters of boxing emerged one after another, and the internal family boxing was magnificent, with many people even being amazed by its beauty, summarizing the figures of the past few hundred years.

Just like the young master of the Tiger Head, Sun Fuquan, who is known as the number one in the world and has been undefeated for 300 years, his boxing skills and martial arts are extremely high. Even in his later years, he was almost on a par with Taoism. Compared to Wang Chongyang, in terms of martial arts alone, he may not be inferior at all.

The same kind of method of changing blood and washing marrow exists in the three volumes of "Huang Ting Jing". It's just called differently, in Taoism this is called "Tu Tai Huan Gu" (shedding the old body and replacing it with a new one), which is the most important step for those who want to become saints. However, there are still some differences between this method and the horizontal refinement method that Wang Chan and I have refined over twenty years.

To put it bluntly. The blood washing and marrow cleansing of the Thirteen Taibao's horizontal smelting is like Guan Gong reading the Spring and Autumn Annals at night, scraping his bones to cure poison. Its nature is fierce, extremely yang, and extremely web-like. If practiced well, one knife will be effective, and there will be no more troubles from then on. From then on, courageously advance, whether it's embracing the origin or fighting with others, all will be invincible, like the great tide of Qiantang River, surging and foaming. However, if not practiced properly, it's like taking poison, adding poison to poison, and dying instantly.

In contrast, the Taoist internal alchemy method of "changing bones" is like a gentle spring breeze transforming into rain. Although it's also difficult and obscure, if practiced well, it won't harm one's life. If practiced poorly, at most, you can start over from scratch. If not, just put it down!

"Although it's said that since ancient times the path to immortality has been unattainable, and no one in the world has ever truly seen any gods or immortals who can ride on clouds and live forever, if there were indeed immortals in the past, most of them would probably be like Wang Chongyang, practicing martial arts and cultivating the Tao. With every move they make, they possess incredible abilities, walking as swiftly as a galloping horse, and even when entering water, they don't sink. It's likely that ancient people were ignorant and unaware, seeing someone who was out of the ordinary, and thus called them immortals without hesitation. Ah! But why is it that in so many Taoist scriptures, there are records of so many stories about immortals? Some lived as long as heaven and earth, some traveled to the North Sea in the morning and returned by evening, but after practicing martial arts to the extreme limit, can't they take another step forward?"

Wang Chan's heart suddenly sprouted a thread of doubt, and he stood naked in front of the window, pulled open the floor-to-ceiling curtains, and gazed up at the starry sky. For a moment, he only felt that the horizon was high and far, deep and boundless, and in the midst of it all, he seemed like a grain of sand, an ant, with a feeling of insignificance welling up.

"In the past, there were so many legendary stories about immortals, but since modern times, even legends have disappeared. Is it because the world has changed too much and is no longer suitable for people to cultivate their inner energy, or is it because people's minds are restless and lack faith? In this world where material desires reign supreme, everyone has lost direction, causing us all to forget something."

He let out a soft sigh, and King Chan couldn't help but utter an emotional exclamation.

"I am now able to have such good fortune because I practiced boxing to this level, and it is all due to the fact that I was not disturbed by anyone on Tiger Head Mountain for over twenty years, cultivating like a monk. At least it made my heart and will as one. I can be unmoved by external things, and as for the road ahead, just as the old master said to me: 'The road is long and distant, I will search up and down!'"
