Chapter Six

  Chapter Six

  "Clear."

Good fortune gently closed the door and looked at Ming Lang who was packing things up.

Clearly heard good fortune coming in, but didn't turn back, just kept packing things into his travel bag.

"Ming Lang, what's wrong?" Lucky asked cautiously, afraid of touching the reverse scales on Ming Lang again. "Did my family do something to make you unhappy?"

"No." Ming Lang returned with a gloomy and depressed air.

"What's wrong with you? Why do you want to leave suddenly?"

  Something's up.

Ming Lang pulled hard on the zipper of her backpack, making a sharp "zip" sound. Ming Lang picked up her backpack with one hand and walked away with a gloomy face.

"Stop it..." A lucky voice was somewhat anxious, one hand tightly grasping Ming Lang's arm, eyes staring straight at Ming Lang's face, with a pleading tone said: "Don't do this, okay?"

"You just left like this, what about my family?"

  "I have something on."

"Why don't we eat lunch first and then go?"

  "It's no use."

Good fortune was helplessly confronting Minglang, wanting to persuade him, but Minglang's stone-like attitude made it impossible for him to say a word, yet he couldn't just let Minglang go like this either.

Good fortune leans against the door, sometimes looking up at the bright sky and sometimes lowering her head to gaze at the ground, muttering to herself as she walks back and forth, wanting to speak but unable to utter a single word for half a day.

Bright and unhurried, he just stood there like a wooden stick, his eyes fixed on one spot, no matter how lucky or difficult, without looking at him even once.

"Alright, I'm begging you, can't we just let it go? Don't leave, alright? No matter what my family did wrong, please spare my face and don't hold it against me, alright?"

The rigid body of Ming Lang seemed to have loosened up a bit, and the muscles on his arms were no longer stiff.

"Can you at least finish your meal before leaving?" Lucky felt a surge of emotions and immediately continued to plead. Minglang's temper was somewhat willful, which Lucky knew well, as they had known each other for five years and were familiar with each other's personalities. The deliberate display of affection towards Peipei while keeping him at arm's length by his parents earlier was unbearable, but Lucky hadn't expected it to have such a huge impact on Minglang.

The atmosphere in the dining hall was also eerie, and Xing Hai's parents were even more convinced that this guy had ideas about good fortune.

Xing Hai's wife and Lucky's classmate were still sitting there awkwardly, not knowing what to do. Xing Dad had already calmly said, "Let's eat first, don't mind them."

The three people at home had already exchanged eye contact, this person is a bad guy, just let him leave.

Fortunately, after a lot of persuasion, he finally changed his mind and decided not to leave, but on the condition that he would leave immediately after dinner, and Lucky would follow him.

Xingyun knew that if he followed Minglang like this now, his family would definitely think wildly and make random guesses. But there was no way, Minglang had become as stubborn as a donkey and refused to listen to reason. Xingyun could only try to coax him first and then figure out how to explain things to his family later.

Good fortune and Ming Lang returned to the dining hall one after another, but those people didn't wait for them at all and had already started eating. This made Ming Lang's heart throb with a sharp pain again, which clearly meant they didn't intend to keep him around. What was Good Fortune doing just now, looking so embarrassed as if he had caused his family trouble?

"Xingyun was taken aback for a moment, then immediately floated up with a smile: 'Dad, Mom, I'll go downstairs with Minglang for a while and come back later. You guys eat first.'"

"Ah?" Mrs. Xing exclaimed in surprise.

"What are you doing?!" Xing Hai's face was filled with anger.

"It's okay, I'll be back this afternoon. I'm in a hurry to buy some local products. Something has come up at home and I need to rush back. You guys go ahead and eat, we'll be right back."

  Good luck!

  "Don't leave dinner for us."

Good luck has quickly pulled Ming Lang and ran away.

Downstairs, Ming Lang suddenly burst out laughing with a "hahaha".

Good fortune cast a sidelong glance at him, earlier still with a face full of dark clouds, in an instant like a mischievous little kid getting away with something, his whole face was smiling slyly.

The sunlight at noon shone on his mischievous and beautiful face, complementing each other's brilliance.

"Good grief!" Lucky let out a sigh of relief and then burst out laughing too.

"Hey, where are we going?" Ming Lang deliberately put away his smile and asked seriously.

"Let's go eat, didn't you say last time that you liked that roasted meat from the countryside? Let's go there."

Minglang was finally happy and went to the backyard of the residential area, took the car, and the two of them happily went out for lunch.

After finishing dinner, I went to buy some local specialties and brought them back.

As soon as they reached the entrance of the unit, Ming Lang grabbed Xing Yun: "Go in and get your stuff, then leave!" He said it with a fierce tone.

Lucky to bow their heads, speechless.

"You don't want to leave now, do you?" The bright face changed at that moment, and the eyes also stood up, staring fiercely at Lucky, who lowered his head, and the gaze could only stare fiercely at the top of his head.

"Hmm... I see. Well, what I wanted to say is that he's lucky, but the words got stuck in his throat. He wanted to take it back, but once something's been said, it's hard to unsay."

  "Cheerful me~~~"

"Alright! Don't say anything else! If you don't want to go, then don't go. I understand what you mean now - isn't it just about finding a girlfriend and getting married at home?!"

"I won't bother you, I'm leaving now! And I'll never trouble you again! Is that okay?!" Minglang pulled open the door and ran upstairs with big strides.
