Chapter Five

  Chapter Five

The summer sun, clear and bright, with a gentle breeze blowing in, bringing a hint of coolness. The newly painted walls still emitted the faint scent of lime water, adding to the fresh feeling inside the house.

This house was just bought last year, and this year because of Xing Hai's marriage, it was repainted again. The furniture is still the old furniture, but it has been well maintained by the lucky mother, although it is already old, it is very tidy and clean.

Lucky's dad liked the rattan chair on the left side of the square table, he loved sitting there in winter and summer. Opposite was a new-style coffee table and a long sofa, with two small single sofas on either side of the coffee table. Minglang and Xing Mama sat facing each other, while Xing Hai and his wife sat on the long sofa. Lucky had moved a small stool to sit under Minglang's hand.

Juicy red watermelon is placed in a plastic fruit plate, sweltering summer eyes, looking at it feels appetizing and tempting.

Xing's mother was eating watermelon while seemingly casually asking: "Ming classmate, you have a girlfriend now, right?"

"Huh? No." Minglang held the watermelon with both hands, leaning forward slightly and lifting his head to look at his lucky mother.

The lucky mother's face changed a bit, and she suddenly said to Lucky: "Lucky, ask that female classmate of yours from yesterday to come over at noon today. She was busy all day yesterday and didn't eat well either. Let her come home for a simple meal, it's also a way of saying thanks."

Luckily, he doesn't say it out loud, but in his heart, he feels helpless. His parents always want to change the fact that he is gay, which makes him feel very helpless. If he liked girls, would you still be making such a fuss? There are at least one or two girls chasing after him.

"Mom, don't worry about it. She's not that kind of person." Wenhe smiled warmly, as he usually did when opposing others' requests and opinions, making them feel no sense of rejection.

"No way! They're here to help, and it's our responsibility to be thorough. We can't just slack off because they don't mind." Xing Mama said stubbornly, seemingly forgetting that Ming Lang was also there to help. Her meticulousness was actually aimed at striking down Ming Lang, although she really didn't know that Ming Lang liked Lucky. She wanted to prevent any potential harm and absolutely couldn't let her beloved son get hurt by a man again (as if women were all innocent and would never hurt Lucky's feelings).

"Yeah, mom is right, it's just a meal, what are you making a fuss about?!" Xing Hai also chimed in from the side, which made Lucky embarrassed, if he continued to insist, it wouldn't be good.

"Hurry up and call him." Xing Hai glared at Lucky as if he was being disobedient.

Her classmate arrived quickly, and after receiving the call, she arrived in no time. Her arrival really made Ming Lang see the difference. The difference in treatment between their family's emphasis on girls over boys is too serious, this is obviously a state of wanting to drive the daughter-in-law crazy.

The girl was pulled by Mrs. Xing to sit together as soon as she entered the house, and the three women sat on the long sofa, while Xing Hai was squeezed onto a small sofa beside them.

Then it was pouring tea again, and fruit, and non-stop asking: "Do you like drinking tea or drinks? We have all kinds of drinks at home, juice, cola, and what's that called? Lucky? It's the one you brought back from D city, bring it over and let Peipei try some."

Lucky's classmate was named Cen Peipei, and as soon as she entered the house, she told Lucky's mom to just call her Peipei. Mrs. Xing naturally liked this intimate way of calling, which sounded like a family member, and this effect made Mrs. Xing happy.

The coffee table was soon filled with things, most of which were concentrated in the middle, because Ceng Peipei was sitting in the middle of the sofa, all for her.

"Eat fruit, don't be polite, it's just like being at home."

Xing Mama's words sound like she is not a lucky classmate, but a lucky girlfriend who has come to visit for the first time.

But you can't pick out anything from this, it's just enthusiasm, how can you refute it? Fortunately, it was his mother who went, anyway, today is enthusiastic, tomorrow will still be classmates, friends are still friends, and they will never become anything else.

But Minglang felt a bit uncomfortable in his heart, seeing Xing's family warmly welcoming this girl as if she were their future daughter-in-law. The sourness in Minglang's heart made him hard to bear, and he couldn't even put on a natural expression on his face. He turned around to look at Xingyuan, who was also smiling foolishly, allowing his parents to play matchmaker without any objection.

Recalling the lucky one's attitude of refusing everything the night before, Minglang suddenly felt that his true heart was really eaten by a dog. Lucky is a bastard with a wolfish heart, a stone-hearted and cold-blooded person.

It was almost noon, and lunch was about to be served. Mrs. Xing was worried that the dishes her family had prepared were not as delicious as those at a restaurant, so she had asked Xing Hai to order some dishes from a nearby restaurant, which would arrive soon. Mrs. Xing began to prepare for lunch, calling everyone to come and eat in the dining hall. She still held Pei Pei's hand with one hand, while using the other to call out to Huan Yun: "Huan Yun, come over, sit next to Pei Pei, come on."

His eyes were about to spit out fire, from small to large, Minglang never said that he wanted wind and rain, but he always had nothing that he couldn't get, including his lover. Although before good fortune, he liked girls, as long as he liked them, he just hooked his little finger, which girl wouldn't obediently throw herself into his arms.

This was the first time he had been bullied, and he felt as if something of his own had been taken away from him. His heart was filled with anger and resentment, but he could do nothing about it, not even against Lucky's parents or Lucky himself.

"I'm leaving, there's still something at home."

Ming Lang was just walking to the living room door when he suddenly said this, and then turned around and left without caring about the surprise and embarrassment of the Xing family.
