Chapter Five
"What are you looking at? I saw you laugh several times, can't you tell me?" Seeing Wang Zijiao occasionally making a low laugh in front of her, Li Hui quickly wrote a note and threw it over. However, Wang Zijiao didn't react at all, so Li Hui had to kick her stool, seeing her turn around, indicating for her to look at the note.
Wang Zijiao reluctantly took the note, actually she had already seen it, but pretended not to see it. She had said too many words to him in the past few days, although most of them were about studying, occasionally chatting, but she still felt very embarrassed. She didn't like talking to boys much, let alone having just met for a short time, and it was always hard to adapt. It felt like her world had been disturbed. Just like now, Wang Zijiao reluctantly opened the note to respond to him. If she hadn't had a good impression of him, she would have turned against him long ago.
"What's written inside is really funny."
"My mood is not good." A moment later, another piece of paper came over, and Wang Zijiao quickly picked it up. If she pretended not to see it again, it would be a bit too much. But when she opened the note and saw the five words he had written, Wang Zijiao was stunned, and she didn't know how to respond.
"Oh."
Li Hui looked at the words on the note and suddenly lost the will to continue. She realized she had found the wrong person to talk to, knowing all along that she wouldn't care about her, feeling like she had done something particularly foolish.
All the way until the end of class, Li Miao didn't pass any more notes to herself. Wang Zijiao started to feel more and more guilty, thinking that she was being too heartless. She told herself that Li Miao must have something on her mind. Several times, she secretly turned around a bit and saw out of the corner of her eye that Li Miao was quietly sitting there. Several times she wanted to write a note, but couldn't bring herself to do it. As soon as class ended, Li Miao lay down on the desk, Wang Zijiao didn't know if she was sleeping or thinking about something.
"What's wrong?" Wang Zijiao lightly shook her arm. Li Huan didn't move, and Wang Zijiao started to get anxious. A usually lively person suddenly became quiet. Wang Zijiao knew that no matter how sunny a person was, they would always have their own troubles. Everyone has some things that they don't want to tell anyone about, some pains that others can never touch. She decided not to disturb him anymore, and just as she thought he wouldn't pay attention to her again, Li Huan's voice came over.
"Yesterday, I had a fight with my dad." Wang Zhiqiao was stunned, unsure whether to continue his own movement or turn around to comfort him.
"I don't know why, every time I talk to him, no matter what it's about, we always end up arguing. He always wants me to follow his path, but I don't want to." Wang Zijiao turned around again, looking at the person still lying on the table, her eyes were filled with confusion, staring in a certain direction, looking so sorrowful. Probably feeling her gaze, Li Miao covered his eyes with his arm, and just as Wang Zijiao was about to say something, he suddenly got up from the table, his face full of smiles. It seemed like what happened earlier was just her illusion.
"Dummy, you actually believed me! I was just teasing you, look at your expression now, it's like a little old lady. " Li Hui said with a smile and patted my head, "Alright, I'm going out to play, you can continue reading your book." And then he walked out laughing.
"Bad egg, if I deal with you again, I'll take your surname. You scammer." Wang Zhiqiao kicked his desk in anger, "Ah, it hurts so much." Wang Zhiqiao turned around and hugged her own foot. It's too excessive to deceive oneself, and she even broke her own principles by taking the initiative to ask him what happened. Women always have a soft spot for this kind of thing. But his acting skills were really good, he acted as if it was real, at least in that moment, she seemed to see a sorrowful young man. She felt a little heartache for him.
