Chapter Three
Since Li Hui sat behind him, Wang Zhiqiao has been like sitting on pins and needles. After all, he had once made fun of someone behind his back and was caught red-handed, so he couldn't ignore Li Hui as he usually did to others. Although Li didn't say anything to him afterwards, he still felt a bit guilty and lacked confidence, feeling very uneasy at heart.
Wang Zijiao quickly sat down in his own seat every time he came back from outside, trying to minimize his presence. Thinking of that one time when he greeted him and got goosebumps, he didn't want to encounter that situation again. Although he knew he was a weirdo in some people's eyes, hearing it with his own ears still made him feel somewhat uncomfortable. He hoped Wang wouldn't talk to him, just letting him stay quiet like this was fine.
Li Hui looked at the person in front of him, who had been highly nervous and on edge for days because of himself. He found her particularly amusing. Even if he just coughed slightly, she would be startled and uneasy. Guarding against himself, he watched her defensive movements. He was extremely pleased, like a child discovering new toys. He suppressed his smile, not wanting to be discovered by others, nor did he want others to see another side of Wang Zhiqiao.
But sometimes it's not possible to avoid something no matter how hard you try, and living in the same classroom means there will inevitably be some overlap.
At the Tianmen Gate, someone came to look for Li Hui again, but he was asleep and didn't react for a long time. The person outside said to let the person in front call him, for the sake of world peace, Wang Zhiqiao had no choice but to turn around reluctantly.
"Hey, someone up front is calling you." Wang Zhiqiao carefully poked Li Hui who was sleeping on the desk with her pen. She hadn't spoken to him in days and only called out to him because she had no choice, as the person at the front door kept asking her to call him. If it weren't for that, she wouldn't have needed to talk to him at all, especially since their classmates nearby were absent. But she really didn't want to talk to him. Seeing that poking him a few times still didn't wake him up, she had no choice but to gently shake his arm.
"What's wrong?" Li Huan opened his eyes and looked at Wang Zhiqiao, who was gently shaking his arm.
"There's someone looking for you outside." Wang Zhiqiao said and immediately turned his head around. As Li Huan slowly walked out of the classroom, she secretly let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank you," Li Hui returned to his seat and thanked her. He thought he should take the initiative to thank her, and he wanted to improve his relationship with Wang Zhiqiao, although they were at adjacent tables, but almost like strangers. You can never think of hearing her speak to you actively, he hated the feeling of being ignored by her very much, it was terrible. Even if others warned him that in order not to get hurt, it's better to keep a distance from her, but he had enough of being treated as air.
After observing her for a few days, he found that she particularly loved to watch something, and her expressions were very vivid, sometimes tears streaming down, sometimes smiling, sometimes gritting her teeth, and sometimes frowning. He seemed to see the lively and vibrant appearance of her laughing at herself that day. It was completely different from her usual calm and cautious demeanor. He became curious about what she was watching, which made her put aside her usual defensive guard. This made him start to want to understand her world.
"Oh." Qiao turned her head away without looking back.
"Am I that scary?" Jo Li Ma lowered his head, pretending not to hear. Li Hui smiled helplessly, it seemed like there was still some distance before he could enter her world, what a setback.
"Alright, you continue reading, I won't disturb you." Joe heard the voice coming from behind him again and finally relaxed his tense body. If it were someone else, they would definitely not bother talking to him, so why was he still speaking to him? Couldn't he see that he didn't want to talk to him? What a strange person. Never mind, continue reading.
"The teacher is coming down" felt the stool being kicked, almost scaring her to death. Hearing the voice behind her, she immediately hid and quickly flipped open her textbook, no matter if the teacher had come down or not, otherwise she would be in big trouble. Then she looked up to see the teacher walking quickly towards her.
"Quickly turn to page 69." Another voice came from behind, and after a quick glance at the person next to him, he found that his page number was indeed different. He hastily turned to page 69. The teacher took a look, saw that Qiao Te was seriously looking at his textbook, and then turned around and walked forward.
"Thank you." A small note was passed over from the front. It seems she still knows how to repay kindness and has a chance of being saved. Li Huan looked at the note thinking, but this is the first time seeing her handwriting, it really looks like a boy wrote it, what can be said, it's quite ugly. Generally girls' handwriting is particularly beautiful and good-looking, she really is a weirdo.
"Don't be polite!" The note was passed to the front row again, with just three simple words. She had originally wanted to make a joke and tease her a bit. But Li Hui knew she should take it slow, or else she would start retreating back into her shell again.
That was their first communication. Once something starts, there's no stopping it. It's like a ship that has set sail and is now navigating the seas, only just beginning, far from ending.
