Chapter 21: The Poor Man's Child Takes Charge Early
Director Li disliked Kong Yuemei and said impatiently, "Let's talk about it after the handling is done. A major demerit record is inevitable. Considering Lin Junyun's usual performance is not bad, I'll try to plead with the principal not to expel her."
Kong Yue Mei heard this and burst into tears of laughter. She had been waiting for these words: "Yes, yes, then I'll trouble you with this matter. If there's anything that needs our cooperation, please let us know."
Director Li nodded and put on his glasses, slowly picking up the newspaper on the desk to read. Kong Yue Mei saw that there was no further conversation, standing there feeling quite awkward.
After an unknown period of time, Director Li felt thirsty and picked up the cup to drink water. Suddenly, he saw two people standing beside him and was stunned for a moment: "You guys haven't left yet?"
"Director Li, you asked us to wait for a moment." Kong Yue Mei said cautiously.
"Oh, right!" Director Li slapped his forehead: "The groom's parents don't know when they'll arrive, so you all go home first and wait for further notice."
Kong Yue Mei had no choice but to leave with Lin Jun Yun, looking depressed. As they walked on the road, Kong Yue Mei seemed to be talking to herself and also to Lin Jun Yun: "Is this instructor reliable? Why does he look like a foolish jerk, fooling me around in circles? Ah... it's all my mother's fault for being useless. If I were ten years younger, I'd definitely be able to make him obey me."
It's no wonder that Kong Yue Mei had many thoughts, Director Li first said to see if they could ask the principal to waive the expulsion, then ignored them for half a day without making a sound, and then it was as if he had just returned from a dream, completely forgetting what had happened earlier, telling them to go back and wait for notification. Kong Yue Mei's intuition suspected that there was a hidden motive inside, she could survive in the chaotic nightclub for over a decade without being eliminated, observing the words and expressions of leaders and guests was the primary element of survival.
Lin Junyun didn't respond to Kong Yuemei's words, suddenly slapping his forehead: "I remembered someone, mom, you go back home first, I have something to do and will be back later."
"Hey……where are you going? You're not even fully recovered yet, don't go wandering around." Kong Yue Mei looked at Lin Jun Yun with concern: "Besides, who knows when the school will notify us to go over there, you can't be too far away or you won't make it back in time. Otherwise, you'll really have no room for maneuver."
"Mom, I know, you go back first, be careful on the road." Lin Junyun smiled and walked away in another direction.
"Uh, you be careful on the road too." Kong Yue Mei thought that Lin Jun Yun might have gone to find a solution herself, and since she had no power or influence, it was best to just let her go.
Lin Junyun has never let Kong Yuemei worry since he entered junior high school.
Kong Yue Mei was seventeen when she was deceived into a nightclub because of her love for fun, and at twenty-seven, it was also because of her love for fun that she gave birth to Lin Jun Yun. She spent most of her life in a daze, but what made her feel proud was having a sensible daughter, yet she owed this daughter too much.
As the saying goes, children from poor families have to grow up early and take care of themselves. Lin Junyue, who grew up in such an environment, suffered so much hardship and injustice that only God could understand. Yet she endured it all without a word, not even complaining to her closest relative, Kong Yuemei.
Lin Junyun doesn't have a dad, or rather, even her mom doesn't know who her dad is, maybe it's Zhang San, or maybe it's Li Si. Her mom does exist, but having one and not having one isn't much different.
When Lin Junyun was young, her mother was busy making money and being extravagant, ignoring Lin Junyun. By the time Lin Junyun grew up, her mother had become a withered flower. Fortunately, Lin Junyun was sensible from an early age and learned to make money to support her family when she was very young. She did various jobs such as hourly work, babysitting, and tutoring, but never fell behind in her studies, maintaining one of the top three grades in her class.
