Chapter 64 The Leaking House

  Chapter 64: The Leaking House

Remember [Cotton Candy Net] for a second, for you.

"It was you two who pushed me down the stairs, and I will never forgive you. Get out!" Fang Li and Meng Xi had just entered Du Ruo's hospital room when Du Ruo started throwing things at them from the table beside her bed. Since that day, An Junli had not dared to put glass or sharp objects near Du Ruo's bedside. The water cup was replaced with a plastic one, but it still lay on Fang Li's feet.

"Don't, Du Ruo, we didn't mean to! We're your best friends!" Shen Xi and Meng Xi pleaded.

But Du Ruo just glared at them, her eyes filled with hatred. "You two are the ones who hurt me the most. I will never forgive you."

As they stood there, frozen in shock, a figure appeared in the doorway. It was Su Xia, her face pale and her eyes red from crying.

"Su Xia, how did you...?" Meng Xi started to ask, but Su Xia just shook her head.

"I heard everything," she said, her voice trembling. "I'm so sorry, Du Ruo. I had no idea they would do something like this."

Du Ruo's expression softened slightly at the sight of Su Xia, and for a moment, it seemed like she might forgive them. But then her face hardened again.

"Get out," she spat. "All of you. I never want to see your faces again."

As they left the hospital room, Shen Xi turned to Meng Xi and whispered, "What are we going to do? We can't just leave Du Ruo like this."

Meng Xi shook his head. "I don't know. But we have to try and make things right between us."

Su Xia, who had been quietly observing the scene, suddenly spoke up.

"You two are so naive," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Du Ruo will never forgive you. She's not that kind of person."

Shen Xi and Meng Xi exchanged a worried glance. They knew Su Xia was right. Du Ruo had always been stubborn and unforgiving.

As they walked out of the hospital, Shen Xi turned to Su Xia and asked, "What are we going to do now?"

Su Xia shrugged. "We'll just have to move on without Du Ruo. We can't change the past, but we can try to make a better future for ourselves."

Shen Xi nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over him. They would get through this, together.

But as they walked away from the hospital, Shen Xi couldn't shake off the feeling that they had lost something precious - their friendship with Du Ruo.
