Volume 1 Chapter 52 Remember I Love You
Egg whites excitedly rushed towards Fang Li, smiling and reminding Su Xia that if she liked Ming Yuan, Ming Yuan was really worth her going all out to pursue him back to accompany her for a lifetime.
Fang Li didn't understand what Egg Tart was looking at, she just thought, "I will definitely find a way to figure out what you're doing behind our backs."
"Last time you couldn't find Su Xia, I also couldn't find her. It was Wei Mingyuan who turned the whole city upside down and found Su Xia. But he just stood behind Su Xia, took Su Xia's wine from the waiter and poured it away, replacing it with water. He only asked me to take care of Su Xia after I arrived."
"Ah, so that's how it is. We misunderstood him."
It turns out that Wei Mingyuan is indeed from the same planet as Su Xia, they are all hurt by loved ones and need to apply a protective coating. They always desperately cover up, even if it hurts, they don't want others to see.
When Wei Mingyuan and his new girlfriend were showing off in public, Su Xia would always glance at them from head to toe with a passing attitude. Perhaps this was the arrangement of fate, she was destined to pay the price for the harm she had done to Wei Mingyuan in the past.
Today Su Xia's dad called and asked Su Xia to go back for dinner. Although Su Xia didn't want to see that wicked woman who was like a witch, after all, her dad was still there, so Su Xia could only grit her teeth and go.
Many things in life are like this. The most beautiful things may have thorns, and the person you miss will always have a bright and annoying girl by their side.
Su Xia finished eating and quickly escaped from the training ground, where a fierce battle was taking place. She didn't know if she had eaten too hastily or been poisoned by some kind of slow-acting toxin, but her stomach began to act up. Su Xia clutched at her belly, her body slowly starting to convulse.
Su Xia walked and walked, without looking at the road or knowing the direction, and unexpectedly walked into Wei Mingyuan's community.
Su Xia endured the pain, lifted her head and looked at the windowsill that Wei Mingyuan liked to gaze out of. She remembered there was a pot of aloe vera on it, the kind with very hard thorns. Wei Mingyuan was very lazy and could only raise things that wouldn't die easily.
Wei Mingyuan's room had its curtains half-drawn, the window open with a gentle breeze slipping in. Su Xia's forehead began to sweat beads the size of soybeans.
But Su Xia didn't cry, she curled up her body and leaned against the lamppost behind her. The dim light of the lamp came through the gaps in the trees, scattered and fell down, like wounds, darkly blooming.
Su Xia's hair hung down obediently, covering her face. At this moment, Su Xia was like a small dog abandoned by its owner, frozen and trembling pitifully in the Divine Pavilion.
"Su Xia, what's wrong with you?" Wei Mingyuan had been hiding behind the curtains, quietly watching Su Xia. Feeling that something was amiss, he hastily ran down.
"Wei Mingyuan, I'm asking you if you like her?" Su Xia was in so much pain that she could hardly speak, but as soon as she opened her mouth, she didn't express her own suffering.
"Who?" Wei Mingyuan retorted back, and even he himself felt that this so-called word game was quite meaningless. "Maybe!"
"This is my first and last time coming to find you. I found out that I actually like you." Su Xia said this while her head was bowed on her arm, refusing to lift it up, her body still slightly trembling, the sweat on the tip of her nose had seeped into the sleeve of her shirt.
"Do you know?" Wei Mingyuan raised his head and gazed at the starry sky, letting out a sigh into the silent long night.
"The stars we see now are the light emitted hundreds of millions of years ago, they may have died already, but we can still see them from so far away, shining so brightly and beautifully."
When Wei Mingyuan spoke, he had an unprecedented depth, as if the latte coffee that had been settled for a long time, a little lost and a little cold.
"I feel like we are two stars in the sky, seeing each other's light and thinking it's beautiful and longing for it, but that beauty is actually from millions of years ago. We always miss each other by the farthest distance. In the past, I loved you, but you didn't love me; now you say you like me, but I don't love you anymore. Maybe our love has already died out a long time ago, and all that's left is missing each other."
"Shut up!" Su Xia was held back by the pain, even though her heart was screaming, all that came out was a soft and gentle voice. As for Yu Weiming, today was Su Xia's most gentle moment, she no longer pushed him into the river or beat him until his face was bruised and swollen like before.
"I don't, thank you for loving me, but I no longer love you." Wei Mingyuan turned his head towards the sky, in a posture of looking up, while Su Xia crouched on the ground with her head lowered so low.
"So you love her more?" Su Xia's voice grew weaker and one of his hands slipped off his knee.
"I will get used to loving her, just like she loves me. Su Xia really thanks you, my youth was crazy for one person and released. Today you said you liked me, those youthful years of mine are no longer a past with nowhere to settle."
Su Xia looked at Wei Mingyuan's back, with a part of the shadow still cast on Su Xia's body. Su Xia reached out to hold onto the street lamp, forcing herself to stand up, pressing her entire body against the lamp post, making a crashing sound.
"What are you trying to escape from? I'll tell you, you're selfish. You can't resist others being good to you, and you just want to find someone who will be unconditionally good to you, responsible for you. You're a coward, afraid of getting hurt, so you go find the most loyal girl by your side, but are you fair to her? You're just taking, you don't love her, and you can't give anything back to her."
Su Xia shouted out these words, and after she finished, she fell to the ground like a nuclear weapon that had released its last bit of energy, with only one streetlight barely supporting her body.
"What's wrong with that? A person has been strong for so long, can't they be weak for once? Do I have to die without regret even if my head is bleeding from a collision?" Wei Mingyuan slowly raised his eyes and stared at Su Xia. "You say it again and again, forcing yourself into a desperate situation, shouldn't I be more merciful to myself in the end?"
Su Xia turned around and wanted to leave, but as soon as she left the support, Su Xia immediately fell under the tree. This time it wasn't a shadow that was mottled, but tears.
"Su Xia, what's wrong with you? Wake up!" Wei Mingyuan picked up Su Xia and rushed her to the hospital.
Su Xia, if you still have a conscience, then you should know that I care about you the most, and it has always been that way. We've walked through each other's lives in ways that can't be erased, so all I can ask is for you to remember that I love you, and then go live your own life. Just like what you originally wanted, I couldn't give you the sense of security you desired, nor could I guard an empty castle of love. I'd rather everything was just a mirage, letting me know it was all just a dream, so even after something beautiful ends, my heart won't ache.
