Habit

  Chapter 1 Section 18 Habit

The sun's rays fell on Lu Youyou's face. An Zhi walked in front, not turning back, but kept smiling at everyone. The only difference was that An Zhi had an extra piece of clothing in his hand, a girl's clothes, which seemed strange to people. Lu Youyou lowered her head and looked at the heel of An Zhi's foot.

The current sunshine should be the best. In such cold weather in winter, having such sunshine shining on oneself is a good choice. Although still have to get up early to go to school, it's also a good experience.

"I said can't you just put away your clothes? Why must you hold them in your hand?" Lu Youyou finally couldn't stand An Zhi who was walking ahead.

"I'm willing, I love it however you take it." An Zhi said without even lifting his head.

"How dare you speak to me like that. Don't you want to live?" Lu Youyou suddenly rushed to the front of An Zhi and stood one step away from him.

"No way. Now you'd better be careful. Maybe there's someone in the corner who has a crush on you. If they see you being rough with me, it'll be big trouble." An Zhi wasn't afraid either. Standing there watching Lu Youyou's face turn red from anger. This was the first time An Zhi had treated her like this. An Zhi finally felt that she still had some intelligence. Otherwise, today would have been another day of being bullied by her.

"I'm done with you." With that, Lu Youyou turned around and walked towards the classroom.

An Zhi watched as Lu Youyou's figure disappeared from view, a faint smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. He also followed Lu Youyou to the classroom.

"Hey, classmate. Your clothes are...?" A girl walked over and grabbed Ahn Ji.

"Whose is this?" An Zhi lifted up the clothes in his hand: "It belongs to a friend."

"Okay." The girl was about to turn and leave when An Zhi suddenly came back to his senses.

  "Are you Ashang?"

"How did you know my name?" Ai Shang was somewhat surprised.

"Thanks for your clothes. I went to the supermarket later, but you weren't there. Your sister said you also attend this school." An Zhi spoke while constantly sizing up Ai Shang.

"You're welcome." Ai Shang said and took the clothes from An Zhi's hands, leaving him standing alone on the spot.

The sun shone brightly on An Zhi's head as he lay on the ground. An Zhi thought today's weather was simply wonderful.

"Guess who I saw?" An Zhi hadn't even sat down properly before Lu Youyou retreated a step back.

"Mind your own business. It's better if you see a ghost." Lu Youyou said irritably.

"I've seen Aishang." An Zhi pulled a chair in front of Lu Youyou.

"Ai Shang, what's wrong with you? What happened to me?" Lu Youyou still said indifferently. She casually picked up a book.

"Listen to me." An Zhi pushed Lu Youyou again, causing the water in Lu Youyou's hand to spill onto the ground. Lu Youyou was about to get angry, but when she saw what had fallen out of the book, her anger disappeared. She quickly picked it up.

"What's that? Let me see." An Zhi said while pulling Lu Youyou's clothes.

"What's so good about it? It's just a letter. Hurry back, class is starting." Lu Youyou pushed An Zhi away with one hand.

This whole day, Lu Youyou was thinking about who would be so bored and smile at her like that. Is it because they have no brains or is their brain moldy? Can't really understand these boys. Especially this one. Lu Youyou turned her head to look at the one leaning on the desk.

An Zhi rested his head on the desk, staring at the sunlight outside the window. Lu Youyou suddenly felt that since getting to know An Zhi, he had always been in this posture during class. It had never changed. If someone who didn't know better saw him, they would think he was sleeping. But what Lu Youyou couldn't understand was why such a slacker who never studied always scored higher than him on exams. Much, much higher. So high that as long as An Zhi was around, Lu Youyou would forever be starting from second place. Sometimes Lu Youyou even wanted to kill An Zhi.

Throw it into the river. Eat sweet to death with Coke. Choke to death while eating... Lu Youyou has thought of many ways. But none of them can be implemented. Because every time I see Anzhi, I want to follow behind him. Will feel safe. Won't be afraid. Even on a dark night without the sun, as long as Anzhi is there, won't be afraid.

Lu thought for a moment and decided it was better not to call him over. Otherwise, he would have to keep staring at himself all the time. What a perverted guy.

Lu Youyou lowered her head, staring at the letter placed between the pages of her book. She thought to herself, "Who would write a letter to me?" It's really as if they don't understand me at all. Why not just speak clearly? And yet, they have to hide their heart in a book. How long has it been since I've seen something like this? Except for when An Zhi was little and hid a caterpillar in his book, no one has ever hidden things in their books before. Because Lu Youyou had severely scolded An Zhi once. After that, Lu Youyou became the "King". She began her plan of "unification".

Almost everyone who knew Lu Youyou was aware of this matter, so no one dared to tease her like that again. And An Zhi only listened to Lu Youyou's words from then on, becoming Lu Youyou's "housekeeper".

Lu Youyou stared at the letter placed in front of her, unable to comprehend why someone would write a letter to her. Even as she watched the sun turn red in the west, she still couldn't understand. And An Zhi finally straightened up his body and stretched lazily.

"How's it going? Has anyone come looking?" An Zhi's words seemed to be unchanging. Lu Youyou also started packing things up every time after he finished speaking. It had been like this for so many years, and they had always been living like this.

"No. Maybe it's just a prank." Lu Youyou said as she stood up, looking at the empty classroom.

"Which one do you think it is?" An Zhi also stood up and walked outside.

"Who knows? Love is who it is. I don't care." Saying that, she also followed An Zhi out.

The sunlight at the window has turned into a golden yellow sheet. The classroom without people is very quiet. Only the sunlight jumps between the tables and chairs, as if performing a beautiful stage play. No music, only dancers, giving people a quiet pantomime.

There were still two people standing in the corridor, a man and a woman. They didn't speak. The sunlight cast golden rays on them. As the number of people in the corridor began to dwindle, it started to become quiet. It started to be just the two of them standing there, watching the sunset that was still falling.

This is a habit. A habit that only exists between two people, without needing to say a word, they will know each other's thoughts. Knowing one person is standing there, the other will be by their side.

At the age of seventeen, two people watched the last sunset of this century.
