Chapter 15: Disaster

  Chapter 1 Section 15 Disaster

The sound was terrible. The lights kept getting brighter and brighter. Everyone wanted to know what was going on.

"Be gentle. Don't you see that there are people watching outside? If this continues, the police will come." An Zhi leaned against the wall, struggling to break free from Lu Youyou's "abuse" while speaking.

"How could I? I'd better just stuff your mouth now." Lu Youyou waved the towel in her hand in front of An Zhi.

"I'm scared of you. Can't we just part ways? I still want to be alive tomorrow and go to school." An Zhi was really having a panic attack.

"Yes. Tomorrow is school day. But you haven't finished your things today." Lu Youyou said with a smile, stretching out her hand to pull over the small alarm clock on the bedside table.

"Are you trying to kill me today?" An Zhi felt despair.

"No, I'm just feeling suffocated and venting on you for a bit, it'll be fine in a while." Lu Youyou said with a pitiful expression.

"You're really perverted." An Zhi muttered.

"What did you say? Say it again." Lu Youyou suddenly stood up.

"It's nothing. I said you're really good." An Zhi lifted her head with a smiling face.

"Less garlic would be better. I didn't know that either. Let's not argue about these things now. What I want to know is what's going on with that piece of clothing." Lu Youyou said, looking into An Zhi's eyes.

"It wasn't you who gave it to me. It was the girl from that supermarket. I wanted to return it to her, but you've tied me up here." An Zhi said seriously, but his eyes told a different story.

"Then why don't we go find her now?" Lu Youyou suddenly regained his energy.

"Now. What time is it? I want to sleep." An Zhi said with a tilt of his head.

"Get up for me. I'm going now. Are you kidding me? Speak." Lu Youyou pinched An Zhi's ear.

Then several more lanterns lit up.

An Zhi was led out by Lu Youyou, who had her arm around his. Looking up at the starry sky, Lu Youyou's face broke into a smile. An Zhi looked on, feeling a chill run down his spine. He thought to himself that whoever ended up marrying this guy would be doomed to suffer a miserable death. What a pitiful fate.

"What are you thinking?" Lu Youyou raised her head and took a glance at An Zhi, feeling that his gaze was off.

"I wasn't thinking of anything. I was just wondering if she would be there or not." An Zhi said with a tone that didn't match his words.

"Aren't you feeling guilty? Constantly confessing can spare your life." Lu Youyou said with a smile.

"What's wrong with me? It's just a girl. I know many of them." An Zhi said, and then regretted it. Because Lu Youyou's eyes had sparked with anger.

"Not bad. That's really great. Maybe tonight we'll run into a few, huh?" Lu Youyou said with a vicious tone.

"What's going on? Who would still be out at this late hour? It's just you." An Zhi glanced around the desolate streets.

"What's wrong? Got a complaint?" Lu Youyou said, pinching An Zhi's arm hard. The pain made An Zhi almost cry out again, but was quickly covered by Lu Youyou's hand over his mouth.

"Is it this one?" Lu Youyou hugged An Zhi's arm and stood at the entrance of a supermarket.

"It should be this family, I don't remember either." An Zhi said, scratching his head.

"I don't remember. I won't lie either." Lu Youyou said with a smile.

"I didn't lie. It was drizzling and I was still half asleep. I remember it clearly," An Zhi said.

"You're stupid. Didn't you just leave during the day?" Lu Youyou tapped on An Zhi's head.

"My memory is so bad in the morning. I was still being chased out by others. How can I remember?" An Zhi said with some grievance.

"You have many reasons. Go in and take a look, then you'll know." Lu Youyou said as she pulled An Zhi into the supermarket.

The supermarket's sign was flashing non-stop. The lights in the store were all turned on, illuminating half of the street. There were many 24-hour supermarkets like this one, and chain stores were especially common. An Zhi thought to himself, what were these people thinking? It was already so late, would there still be customers coming to buy things? And wasn't it a waste of manpower and resources?

Two people pushed open the door and entered the supermarket. It was very quiet inside. Apart from them, there wasn't a single person.

"Is that her you're talking about?" Lu Youyou pointed at the girl behind the cash register and asked.

"It doesn't seem like it anymore. I really can't remember clearly." An Zhi said, scratching his head.

Lù Yōu had already quietly made her way to the front of the girl.

  "Are you Ashang?"

"Who are you?" The girl looked up at Lu Youyou's smiling face with a puzzled expression and asked.

"You don't know me. But do you know him?" Lu Youyou said, turning around to look at An Zhi who was still standing in the same spot scratching his head.

"Him? I have some impression." The girl said after thinking for a long time.

"Come here. What are you standing there for?" Lu Youyou pulled An Zhi over.

"You, hello." An Zhi's face turned a bit red. Apart from being able to talk casually with Lu Youyou, An Zhi really hadn't interacted with any other girls before. It was all because of Lu Youyou's mischief. Every time, she would make him take her to see them. But as soon as they saw her, they would assume that An Zhi and Lu Youyou had some kind of relationship. Before he could even explain, they would turn around and leave. Each time, it made An Zhi so angry he was about to die.

"Hello. Is there anything you need?" The girl politely put down the book in her hand and stood up.

"There's nothing, really. You, you... " An Zhi stuttered, unsure of what to say.

"Let me say it. Didn't you give him a set of clothes? He wants to return them to you." Lu Youyou said hastily.

"My clothes?" The girl's face showed a slightly surprised expression: "When did I give you clothes?"

"You've forgotten so quickly? It was just last night's matter!" Lu Youyou really didn't dare to imagine that such a memory could be used to make money here. That boss wasn't going to go bankrupt or anything.

"What was I doing yesterday evening? I wasn't even here. How could I have given you the clothes?" The girl said in confusion.

"Look, you lied. Still don't admit it. Where did that clothes come from?" Lu Youyou pulled him out of the store and questioned him.

"I didn't lie! It was that girl. She really did give it to me." Ahn Ji also became somewhat flustered.

"You're still making excuses. Everyone else has already said they don't remember. You're obviously lying." Lu Youyou said, refusing to give up.

"Honestly, no deception. We'll bring clothes home and see if he admits it or not." An Zhi really had no other choice.

"Okay, let's go back now. But I don't want to walk back." Lu Youyou pulled on An Zhi's arm and refused to take a step forward.

"Alright, stop making a fuss. Let's take the car back." An Zhi said helplessly as he looked at Lu Youyou's appearance.

"Be gentle. Don't wake up my brother." An Zhi said while holding back Lu Youyou's movements.

"What's wrong? Waking up is what's wrong?" Lu Youyou said with a puzzled face.

"There's nothing. I just didn't want him to see me bringing a girl back home so late." An Zhi's face showed some helplessness.

"Stop dreaming. I'm not going in there. Go get it quickly." Lu Youyou shook off An Zhi's hand and stood still at the door.

"Alright, wait for me." Saying that, An Zhi took out his key and went inside.

Lu Yu looked at the dark figure in front of her and felt that she had made a wrong choice, it would have been better to go into the house with An Zhi. Now her heart was racing with fear.

Just as Lu Youyou was about to reach her limit, she suddenly heard the sound of footsteps. It scared Lu Youyou so much that her heart almost jumped out of her throat.

But when Lu Youyou saw the person coming, she really wanted to find a crack in the ground to hide. Because the one walking over was none other than An Zhi's older brother, An Bang. It's as if whoever she didn't want to meet would appear.

"What are you doing here?" An Bang saw Lu Youyou stomping her feet nonstop at the door.

"No, nothing." Lu Youyou said to herself. Has An Zhi gone back to sleep? How come he hasn't come out for so long?

"Don't stand here anymore. Come inside. It's so cold here." An Bang said as he pushed Lu Youyou in.

"Is An Zhi at home?" An Bang looked at the light in An Zhi's room and said, "I'll go take a look." Then he walked towards An Zhi's room.

Lu Youyou sat on the sofa in the living room, looking at the light coming out of An Zhi's door, feeling that this night was truly extraordinary.

When An Zhi followed behind An Bang and walked out, Lu Youyou stood up. But An Zhi's hands were empty.

"What's with your clothes?" Lu Youyou asked An Zhi.

"At your home." An Zhi replied, becoming as stiff as a wooden stick.

"How can it be in my house? Are you kidding me?" Lu Youyou said with a confused expression.

"It was I who sent him away." An Bang said on the side.

"What's going on with you?" Lu Youyou tapped her foot impatiently.

"An Zhi left, only I went to clean up his room and found a girl's clothes. I thought it was yours. Afraid you'd be anxious, so I sent them over." An Bang said, sitting down on the sofa.

"Send it to my home. There's no one at my home?" Lu Youyou's brain turned pretty quickly this time.

"Your mom is at home. I gave it to your mom." An Bang looked at Lu Youyou's expression changing.

"Something's wrong. Come to my house quickly." Lu Youyou said as she pulled An Zhi and ran out, leaving An Bang behind who didn't know what had happened.

"Why are you running so fast?" An Zhi said, following closely behind Lu Youyou.

"You don't know, this time it's big trouble. Can't say clearly now." Lu Youyou said while running.

"What's the big deal? It's just a piece of clothing." An Zhihai didn't understand the severity of the question.

"You don't know. My mom is not someone to be trifled with. If this is a misunderstanding, I'm done for. She'll definitely kill me." Lu Youyou said as she continued walking without slowing down at all.

"It's not a big deal, is it? It's just one piece of clothing." An Zhi thought that one piece of clothing wasn't anything serious.

"Save your breath. Think about it for a moment, okay? Otherwise, it'll be a big trouble." Lu Youyou's words were almost on the verge of tears.

Anqi followed behind, running, and had not yet realized that "danger" was approaching step by step.
