Bai Yao

  Named Bai Yao

Two people walked in the exceptionally quiet forest, one in front and one behind. Su Ya unconsciously turned her head to glance around, this forest was gloomy and dark, with dense thickets of trees that blocked out the wind. The sunlight filtering from above was scarce. She slightly furrowed her brow, her sixth sense telling her that this forest seemed to be shrouded in a faint... evil aura.

Su Ya quickly followed behind the white-haired man walking in front of her, from earlier on, he and she hadn't exchanged a single word, or rather, he hadn't said another word, which made her feel extremely depressed, wondering if she had said something very rude before and offended him.

"Excuse me, sir, what's your name?" she said, breaking the silence between them.

The white-haired man's footsteps paused for a moment, but he didn't stop because of it.

"A dragon holding a candle." In a calm tone.

  "No, it's just a name."

Su Ya repeated it patiently, believing that this was absolutely not the name. But the white-haired man did not respond, as if he had not heard it and continued walking. At this point, Su Ya was a bit frantic, irrationally blurting out without thinking, "You can't have no name."

The man suddenly stopped in his tracks, and Su Yeo didn't react in time, bumping her nose heavily against his sturdy back.

"What are you doing! Don't you know it hurts?" Su Ya rubbed her already red nose, looking up to glare at the guy in front of her.

He didn't turn around, but stood silently there for a moment. The already strange atmosphere became even more mesmerizing.

Jiū Liáng, he slightly tilted his head, and his handsome profile seemed to be facing Su Yāo. "Su Yāo, remember your identity." That was a cold voice that sent chills down one's spine.

Su Ya's expression stiffened, looking at his originally unlikable and icy face, now even more frosty, making people feel chilled to the bone, as if she had touched on a topic that shouldn't be mentioned, hitting this strange person's bottom line.

"What a weirdo..." She muttered under her breath.

The man seemed not to have heard and continued walking forward. In this way, the two walked silently, one in front of the other.

Su Ya raised her head and quietly gazed at his back, in this moment, she seemed to vaguely sense a strange feeling from his silent figure, as if it was a kind of emotion that passed through the medium of human body, transmitted into hers. That feeling, the white-haired man's mood at this time, seemed to be very lonely.

  It's really a strange feeling...

She looked up at the azure sky above her head, then lowered her head to glance at his excessively beautiful white hair. At this moment, a gentle breeze blew by, softly dispersing the white flower petals on the surrounding trees. Su Ya suddenly thought of something, her eyes lit up, and she smiled as she whispered: "Bai Yao."

The man's footsteps paused again, and he slowly turned around, looking at the beautiful girl in front of him, speechless.

"As white as snow, Yao is also a beautiful posthumous title, very suitable for you, Bai Yao, if you don't mind."

The moment the words fell, the man's expression imperceptibly paused for a beat. In that instant, time seemed to have stopped because of her, this raven-haired girl in front of him. Although he had his eyes closed, he could still see clearly the face before him, one that made people feel like they would never forget it even if they just glanced at it once, including him, a god. Before Su Yeo could make out his expression, he had already turned around, and only then did a very soft sound escape from between his thin lips, "Hmm."

"Let's go. There is an abandoned hut ahead, let's go there and I'll tell you about this world." He resumed his usual calm tone, finished speaking, and stepped forward to continue walking.

Su Yaohua let out a soft "oh" and followed him, but didn't notice that the man named Bai Yao had flashed a faint smile at the corner of his mouth as he turned around, which immediately disappeared.

Bai Yao Ma, he seems... quite fond of it.
