Chapter Twenty-Two Letting Go
"That's for sure, having friends in school, living the life you want, at least being able to choose your own food, even if it's just instant noodles! " Lu Jun looked at the battalion commander with a complaining gaze, how did he feel like he had never been to school before? This simple and ordinary school life, how did it evoke his longing?"
"What do you and your classmates usually do?"
"Reading, going out to take pictures, staying overnight, traveling, or just going to a classmate's house to play!" An idea flashed in Lu Jun's mind. She had only thought of her brother and his friends, how could she have forgotten about her classmates? Haha, she really wanted to be liberated!
"Overnight? Who's going out to fool around?" The navy frowned in disapproval, his heart filled with distaste.
"Company Commander, you're a monster! We were just going out with classmates to the internet cafe to play games!" Lu Jun explained kindly.
"It's better to play games in the dormitory, why run to the internet cafe? Is it that I'm stupid or you're stupid?" Hai Jun retorted.
The army disagreed and shook his head, "Not every student has their own computer, like I didn't have a computer until my sophomore year." The old man was strict, everything had rules, and even the allowance was strictly regulated. Fortunately, he himself was frugal, otherwise he would have rebelled at home long ago.
The navy didn't have this awkward situation, in military school, computers were equipped, but only the content to be checked was specified, playing games too little, and even if they played, it was also related to military content, let alone going on a night out with classmates, which is against discipline.
"Do you like going out and playing with your classmates?"
"It's okay, actually I prefer carrying my own drawing board, finding a quiet place, and quietly painting, it's just that now I've forgotten. Lu Jun thought about the current situation, then thought about the past, really feeling like it was a lifetime ago."
"Are you learning painting?" Haijun seemed to be unaware of this.
"Yes! But now it's already off track, and whether there will be another chance is hard to say!" Looking at her own injured hand, fortunately, it was only a flesh wound. If the injury had affected the bones or tendons, she would have ended her painting career for good. The thought of that brought on a wave of sadness, and she pushed away the rice bowl in front of her, sighing!
"You'll have more chances to paint in the future." The naval officer comforted her, his face serious, but actually he was still very much in favor of girls learning some art-related things. Things like joining the army were better left to their fathers, not only because it was easy for girls with slender arms and legs to get injured during training, but also because after completing their training, they would have to develop a muscular physique. He used to think that having a muscular build was nothing bad, even feeling full of energy, but now when he associated it with the woman in front of him, thinking about her soft hair, and then imagining this woman having muscles like his own, with a buzz cut, he couldn't bear the thought, as if he would lose many benefits. It seemed that he needed to think carefully about this!
"I hope so." The army said weakly, wanting to continue on her own path, but that would only mean leaving this place. However, the possibility of being caught and brought back by the old master was very high. Who knows, after being caught, she might be sent to an even more remote location or placed under even stricter surveillance, making her fate even more miserable. If she were lucky enough to escape, she would have to hide for many years until she was older and no longer had that pressure. However, the risk was too great and the chances of success too small! Therefore, in conclusion, without a foolproof plan, she couldn't easily leave this place!
"Just stop thinking so much and focus on recovering from your injury first." The navy once again comforted her, but his words were awkward as he rarely comforted people. It seemed to make the army feel that he expected her to recover soon, only to continue training afterwards.
"It's good to take care of yourself, but after taking good care, you can't use it for a few days and get hurt again!" Now the army actually thinks that getting hurt is not so bad, at least they can stay at home, don't have to train, and be happy!
The navy understood she was thinking of training, "Let's discuss this issue later, are you still eating?"
Actually today he ate the amount of rice that a man normally eats, although Lu Jun was very hungry, but after eating half of it, it was already quite good, so he hurriedly waved his hand and said "I'm full."
Having received an answer, the navy was very rude and picked up a rice box to fill his mouth with big mouthfuls, without feeling anything wrong.
"Let go!" The army jumped up excitedly, then moved his wound, hurriedly sat back down, enduring the pain, with a determined face pointing at the navy.
The navy was frightened by this and stood there stupidly.
"Put it down, don't eat anymore! That's my leftover food! You can't eat it!" Lu was angry.
"Why?"
"No need for why, just put it down quickly!"
"Are you sick? Afraid of infecting me?" The naval officer still held onto his lunchbox, looking at her strangely.
"You're the one who's sick!" Lu Jun retorted unfairly.
The navy still didn't let up, "I'm not sick, why can't I eat?"
"This, this!" Lu Jun thought about how to put it into words.
"If you can't finish it, then don't take it. The troops are not allowed to waste food!" As he said that, he stuffed another mouthful of rice and dishes into his own mouth.
"Don't you know the difference between men and women? Do you usually eat your comrades' leftovers like this?" The army couldn't stop him, so he adopted a roundabout strategy. Anyway, he had already eaten some, now one bite was eating, two bites were also eating, might as well let him finish it off. Anyway, there were only the two of them here, just don't do this outside in the future, or others will misunderstand.
"No way." The navy replied honestly, "Comrades will absolutely not leave anything behind, they usually just shout that they're hungry, who would be as picky as you!"
Digression
Today Jun saw the fire brigade catching wasps.
A beehive as big as a large watermelon
It's really scary!
