The Battle of Thirty-Four Men

  Chapter Thirty-Four: The Man's Battle

Lan Hanyun gently knocked on the door and waited for a long time without any movement. He slowly opened the door.

He slowly came to the bedside of Lan Ruoxue, his gentle gaze quietly looking at her who was sleeping very stably with her arms around the quilt.

"Hey, it's time to get up, you'll be late for school." A low male voice whispered in her ear.

She felt a warm and itchy sensation around her ears, and she vaguely scratched them. She turned over, rubbing her face against the soft pillowcase, savoring the brief moment of laziness before getting out of bed.

He smiled slightly, his handsome and resolute face radiating strong masculine charm due to the faint smile. "What a lovely lass!" He gently pushed her. "Xier, wake up!"

"Hmm... Who is it? So noisy! She slightly trembled her long eyelashes, lazily rubbed her eyes and slowly opened them."

Man? How can there be a man in her room? With a swish, she quickly hugged the quilt and jumped up, staring wide-eyed, sitting upright on the bed. "Brother, what are you doing here?"

He didn't show any embarrassment, but his dark and deep eyes were filled with deep emotions. "I came to call you for breakfast, get up quickly, or you'll be late for school."

"Going to school? What time is it now?" She remembered she had just slept for a while.

His eyes were filled with tenderness, his gentle smile softened his chiseled features, making his angular face exceptionally handsome. "Good morning, you little lazy pig, you've been sleeping since yesterday." His words were full of doting.

"Oh! Thank you, brother! I'll change my clothes and go down." She didn't dare to look at him with his deep affectionate eyes. She glanced around, blinking her bright big eyes.

His scorching gaze almost melted her. He stretched out his slender fingers with distinct joints, gently brushing aside the hair in front of her forehead. "Xī'er, between you and me, we don't need to use the word 'thank'." His kiss fell on her forehead, full of tenderness. He said softly: "Then I'll go downstairs first."

  "Hmm!" She responded softly.

As she saw him shut the door, she rubbed her already messy hair with both hands. The original triangular relationship was already depressing enough for her. If another one came, it would be better to strike her dead with lightning.

Lan Ruoxi changed into a nice outfit and walked downstairs, only to see Liu Qingfeng's handsome face with a warm smile on it as he sat on the sofa looking at her. "Ruoxi!" He softly called out, filled with infinite deep affection.

"Clear breeze, how did you come?" Her eyes, shining like stars in the night sky, suddenly flashed with a hint of surprise.

He beamed with a smile, revealing his pearly white teeth. "Of course I'm here to pick up my future wife from school."

Beside him, Lan Huan's eyebrows were tightly furrowed, with icy coldness congealing in his eyes. His heart was pained as if being cut by a knife. Why could they all pursue her openly and honorably, but he couldn't? He had made up his mind! So what if it would shock the world or be ridiculed by others? Without her, it would be like losing the whole world; to hell with propriety.

"The wind, I'll come to see you off later." He raised his head and looked at Liu Qingfeng, opening his mouth coldly. He decided not to hesitate anymore, no matter what he had to go for it.

Liu Qing smiled brightly and patted his shoulder. "Xiao Yun, thanks for your kind intentions! Anyway, I'm going in the same direction."

"The wind, she's my sister, I have this responsibility, next time I'll send her off again." Lan Hanyun also didn't give in.

"I'm taking her, she's going to be my future wife." Liu Qingfeng insisted.

Lan Ruoxi turned around and came to the dining table, sat down and started eating her breakfast. She didn't even bother with them, let them quarrel if they wanted to.

"What's all the commotion about so early in the morning?" Lin Qiang and her mother slowly came downstairs, their voices laced with sarcasm.

Lan Ruo simply glanced at them and continued eating her breakfast. As long as they didn't bully her, she couldn't care less about what they were up to. She was too lazy to bother with this mother-daughter pair anyway.

Liu Qingfeng's eyes flashed with a hint of disgust, he had never been fond of them. He strolled over to Lan Ruoxue's side and sat down in the empty seat, gazing at her adoringly as she ate her breakfast, considerately handing her the soy milk beside him. "Be careful, eat slowly! Don't choke."

Lan Han Yun was cold to everyone except Lan Ruoxi and her friends. Although they were his mother and sister, he didn't have a good impression of them either. He sat on the other side, looking at Ruoxi gently. "Ruoxi, what do you want to eat? Tell brother, brother will ask Wang Shu to make it tomorrow."

Lin Qiong and her mother saw that no one was paying attention to them, so they didn't bother to make a scene. They came over to the table, sat down, and started eating breakfast.

"Look, there are crumbs on your mouth." Liu Qingfeng gently wiped them away with his handkerchief.

Lan Han Yun picked up a piece of osmanthus cake and put it in her bowl. "Xier, come and eat this delicious one."

The two of them locked eyes in mid-air, their gazes filled with provocative glints.

Lan Yu helplessly looked at two diligent people. Never mind, let them serve her if they love to, she'd rather enjoy a quiet life.

The breakfast ended in this eerie atmosphere.

After breakfast, Liu Qingfeng and Lan Hanyun were still deadlocked over who would send Blue Ruoxi.

"Are you done making a fuss?" Lan Ruo Xue's face sank, her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she glared at them fiercely. "I don't need any of you to send me off, I can go by myself, can't I?" She let out a cold snort and lifted her leg to leave.

Liu Qingfeng and Lan Hanyun rushed up together, each grabbing one of her hands.

"My princess, I was wrong! Punish me however you like, just please don't be angry with me." Liu Qingfeng had a flattering smile on his face.

Lan Hanyun's face was filled with a warm and gentle smile. "Xier, don't be angry with me. I'm worried that you'll get hurt by this guy again."

Liu Qingfeng stopped immediately. He rushed to his front. "After all, we are also friends, you don't help me, that's fine, but you're pulling my legs. And when did I ever hurt her?"

"None? Last time who came to my house to break off the engagement?" Lan Hanyun's pair of black eyes seemed like a deep and mysterious pool, with a hint of mockery.

Liu Qingfeng curled up a faintly evil smile. "That doesn't count, I don't understand her anyway. If I knew, I'd rather die than call off the engagement."

"She's my sister, and it's only right that I protect her. And if you want to marry her, you'll have to go through me first, or else don't even think about it." Lan Hanyun raised an evil smile.

"You... brother, your brother bullied me." Liu Qingfeng leaned into Lan Ruo's arms and complained.

Lan Huan Yun cut in with a disdainful tone, grabbing her hand. "Xī ěr, brother will send you away, don't mind him."

Who says three women can make a scene? Look, two men can also make a scene! Lan Ruo Xue looked at the two people who were arguing again and sighed helplessly. This day is going to be impossible to get through!

Lan Ruoxi gazed at them coldly, her dense eyelashes framing her clear and icy eyes that seemed like snow. Not a hint of a smile was present, but she possessed an innate noble elegance that commanded respect. "Both of you, shut up!"

She was really angry now. Liu Qingfeng and Lan Hanyun exchanged a glance, and quickly each grabbed one of her hands.

Lan Han Yun raised one hand to guarantee: "Xī Er, brother won't quarrel anymore, don't be angry." Then he turned to Liu Qing Feng, warning him with a glance: "Let you send her today, I'll send her tomorrow. Remember not to harm her."

Liu Qingfeng gently held her hand, with a triumphant smile. "Xier, let's go to school!"
