Chapter 20 Exploration

  "Sit wherever you like, just don't touch those things." At this moment, Yuan Yiqin's face had already lost its playful expression, replaced by a serious one from the moment he stepped in. He finished speaking to Bei Nan and then walked briskly towards Officer Liu and the others, sitting down beside them and immediately entering a tense working state, staring at something on the computer.

  "Captain, how did you get here?" Officer Liu asked incredulously.

  "I heard that Miss Bei is visiting our headquarters today, so I came to take a look." Lu Zhuang smiled foolishly, this slightly stout figure looked honest and kind-hearted, who would have thought that he was the captain of the second criminal investigation team? It's really true that you can't judge a person by their appearance, under that foolish exterior, who knows how much strength is hidden.

  "You got the news really quickly." Yuan Yiqin furrowed his brow.

The talismans fell to the ground, white smoke billowed out, and two half-human, half-beast creatures emerged, flanking Bei Nan on both sides as they crept closer to her, dodging the rows of cabinets.

  A strong sixth sense told Benan that something was approaching him, and he subconsciously turned around to see a half-human, half-beast creature that didn't quite look like anything else. A faint rustling sound came from behind him, and another identical creature appeared behind him, surrounding him.

  Their eyes did not have murderous intent, but their cold gaze indicated that they came with ill intentions.

  When Yiyu heard Benan's voice, he didn't know how to respond and hesitated whether to answer or not. Just then, Luzhuang spoke up, "Those two little monsters are quite mischievous, especially fond of tearing apart small toys. Wait a moment, we'll find something to catch them."

  After hearing this answer, Bei Nan's face suddenly sank, and there was no doubt that this was intentionally released to deal with her. She even suspected that Yuan Yiqin had brought herself here for a purpose.

  "Don't hurt her," said Yuan Yiqin.

  Lu Zhuang's face was calm: "I'm just probing, I won't really hurt her, so don't worry, it's just a night's sleep, and you're already so concerned."

  Yuan Yiqin was speechless.

  Bei Nan and those two 'medicinal' beasts were at a stalemate for a while, nor did they see anyone come to help. Her expression became even colder.

  A pale golden barrier instantly unfolded in front of them, and the two demon beasts immediately retreated as soon as they touched the barrier. The barrier enveloped Bei Nan at its center, and the two demon beasts were unable to attack, only staring angrily at Bei Nan with a low growl.

  "It's a good thing she pushed the right shelf, if it was the left one, the whole row would have fallen, and all your treasures would have been smashed.   Lu Zhuang strode forward towards Bei Nan, and the two arrogant demonic beasts immediately backed down, retreating to one side.

  He grasped her wrist with one hand and reached into her pocket to pull out the few stacks of talismans, his eyes scanning them briefly before nodding in confirmation.

  "What do you want?" Bei Nan was furious, staring at Lu Zhuang, and what made her even angrier was Yuan Yi Qin.

  They thought this was something they had designed together to deal with her.

  Lu Zhuang didn't say a word, but turned around and walked to the front of Yuan Yiqin and several others, slamming the stack of talismans in his hand on the table.

  Yuan Yiqin picked up the talisman paper and took a look, recognizing that it was the Dongfang family's talisman paper, his face immediately turned gloomy.
