The Supreme Executor: 22

  22. The Chief Executive

Decryption, deciphering, decoding, cryptic code reversal.

Cheetah, verb, (running extremely fast) African hunting leopard, also known as hunting leopard.

In front of the high-rise building, I directly checked the meanings of these two words on my mobile phone and recalled two sentences from the meeting. One sentence came from Zhang Ji: "Is he a member of decryption?" One sentence came from the director: "I believe some people present should have heard of the code name cheetah."

From a literal analysis, decryption is like an organization, while cheetah is a codename for its members.

  Decryption team? Codename Cheetah?

The vehicle has arrived at the foot of the residential building, and it is a taxi that was stopped outside the police station. Originally, Xu Jianglun wanted to drive a police car to take us back, but Gao Cheng said: "Those who ride in police cars are either police officers or criminals, neither of which I am."

After getting off the bus and paying the fare, the mobile phone in his hand suddenly rang, and it turned out to be a call from Xu Jianglun.

"Hello? Xia Zhu, have you guys arrived home?"

I smiled, "Right on time, thanks."

"Is it convenient to talk? There's no one around, right?"

Glanced around and shook his head: "No one." For some people, you have to learn to ignore them actively. Then heard Xu Jianglun say: "Listen to me, I just asked Zhang Ji..."

In the conversation, my footsteps didn't slow down, until I hung up and looked sideways at the person walking with me at the same frequency. His attention seemed to be on his feet, with his head bowed, his eyebrows and eyes slightly lowered, and the corners of his mouth habitually raised. When I walked fast, he immediately accelerated, when I slowed down, he also decelerated, in this extremely childish game, he seemed to be having a great time.

Finally arriving in front of the elevator, I stopped in my tracks. He looked up at me, his dark eyes shining brightly. "Your gait is irregular, your footsteps slightly outward, proving that you appear weak on the outside but have a fierce beast living inside."

"Are you trying to provoke me like a man? I pursed my lips and didn't say a word. The elevator door opened, and as I stepped in, the gaze beside me still lingered on me. "The corners of your mouth are slightly pursed, your eyes are flashing, and your hands are hanging by your side but clenched into fists," he said, as if he had discovered something. "Ha! Earlier, the little police officer's phone call made you emotional, huh? Won't be that he confessed to you, will it?"

I turned my gaze to him and suggested, "You like analyzing so much, why don't you analyze what I'm thinking of right now?"

Gao Cheng snorted, "All you think about in that head of yours are those useless things. When a woman is confessed to, regardless of whether she likes it or not, her first reaction is always joy and vanity."

He curled up the corner of his lips, turned his gaze, and stared at the still unchanging number, which still showed "1". Because no one had pressed the floor after the two entered, I reached out to touch the number 6, and suddenly asked: "Who are you?"

After a moment of silence, the gaze from the high wall finally fell on my face. "Ask me?" I curled up the corner of my mouth and didn't look at him, counter-questioning: "Is there anyone else here besides you?"

"There are no people, but there might be one or two ghosts, afraid that you'll get excited and start talking to them."

"Kao Cheng, answer me!" I called out his full name.

"He sneered: 'Shouting out my name and asking who I am? Disciple, have you gone stupid?'"

  In silence.

Gao Cheng didn't say anything wrong, at this moment I was indeed overwhelmed with emotions. Xu Jianglun asked me some things from Zhang Ji's side. Decryption is indeed the name of an organization, it doesn't belong to the police department, internally in the police force, this organization is called "The Decrypters", because the members of this organization are proficient in behavioral logic, code-breaking, criminal psychology and other fields. They often appear in major international criminal cases, and not only as a group, but individual members also have legendary stories in different countries.

The size of the organization is unknown to anyone. However, it has received special attention from high-level law enforcement agencies at home and abroad, and has helped the police crack many famous cases. In the UK, there was a sensational "Michelle serial murder case" that was miraculously cracked by a cryptanalyst codenamed Cheetah. This case is often used as a teaching material for research in the domestic police community.

In addition, Xu Jianglun said that Zhang Ji told him that Cheetah is not only a member of the D group, but also the highest executor.
