Chapter Nineteen: Fierce Battle
Seeing the three people's terrified expressions, I slowly turned my head around.
It wasn't noticeable until I just turned my head around, and then I felt like my face was stuck to the blanket.
In my impression, there was nothing behind me but an empty cave, so what's the sticky feeling like a carpet?
I didn't dare to look, nor did I dare make a sound. Da Zhuang, ** and Ali were all behind me. At this moment, the thing that was clinging to me like a blanket couldn't be any of them three, so what exactly was it?
I've always had a curiosity about things that's stronger than anyone else, I took a deep breath and carefully looked at this rug-like thing, just one glance was enough to make me feel extremely regretful, this, this damn thing isn't even human!
A body of silver-white fur, its physique much larger than that of a human. Although it was just one glance, it left an indelible impression on me. I gasped in shock, and my mind had only one thought - to run!
I don't know what that thing is, but for unknown objects, a strong vigilance must be maintained, and this tall object looks obviously much stronger than humans and more dangerous.
At this time, I was afraid of provoking the unknown monster, so I didn't dare to make any big movements. Only my head turned around, and I used my fingers to gesture to Da Zhuang and others, indicating that we would run together after counting to three. To make sure they understood, I repeated the same hand gesture twice.
"One, two, three, 'Run!'" I shouted loudly. At once, I did a sideways somersault and ran to the outside, while Da Zhuang, ** and Ali also ran to the outside at the same time.
The towering monster behind me, apparently not as intelligent as humans, seemed to be enraged when I shouted "run", let out a roar of "unh-unh" and then chased after us.
With no burden on our bodies, we felt light. When we were sitting by the bonfire earlier, we had put all our backpacks on the ground. Now that we started running, our speed was quite fast. I and ** were relatively slender, so we ran faster, while Da Zhuang had a robust physique, so his running speed was slightly slower than ours.
Don't look at the tall and large monster's body, it looks very clumsy, but when running, its speed is not slow at all. I ran towards the entrance of the cave while looking back, and saw that the monster was about to catch up with Da Zhuang.
I thought to myself that running away like this isn't a solution, outside is heavy snowfall, wandering aimlessly in the mountains might get us lost or stepping on soft snow and falling off the mountain. Compared to these two outcomes, we'd rather think of a way to deal with this tall monster, not to mention there are four of us together.
Thinking of this, I took a deep breath "Stop running, let's figure out how to deal with this damn thing."
After hearing what I said, **and Ali's footsteps slowed down. "Xiao Ke, what do you think we should do?" Apparently, **and Ali also thought of the situation outside the cave and had no choice but to agree with my idea.
Dazhuang was not far from us, and we only saw Dazhuang's figure pause for a moment, dodge to the side, and the tall monster behind him chased after him due to inertia and ran forward for several more steps.
Watching the movements of that tall and strange monster, I couldn't help but think of a possible way to deal with it. Although this tall and strange monster looks very robust and seems to have great strength, its movements are actually quite clumsy. Otherwise, it wouldn't have run forward several steps again due to Da Zhuang's dodge.
"We scatter a bit, don't concentrate too much, this thing is not agile, we'll find a way to kill it." I shouted and immediately ran towards the direction of the bonfire. To kill it, we must have a weapon, and the only thing I carry with me is that ancient sword, which I placed beside the bonfire.
The cave we are in has a small entrance, but the further inside you go, the larger the space becomes. The area where we currently are is already quite large. After hearing my words, Da Zhuang and the other two dispersed to attract the attention of that strange creature, while I ran back to the bonfire to retrieve the ancient sword.
Before Da Zhuang dodged, it seemed to have enraged the monster. The monster's two huge hands heavily pounded its shoulders, and then pounced towards Da Zhuang. Da Zhuang cursed and dodged to the side, causing the monster to miss again and heavily collide with the stone wall. Its white long hair had a few strands dyed red.
Although the light in the cave was relatively dim, Da Zhuang, who was closest to the monster, still saw this and shouted at me, "Xiao Ke, this damn thing can't withstand a fight." As he spoke, Da Zhuang ran several steps towards the entrance of the cave, distancing himself from the monster.
The monster that crashed into the stone wall was in pain, and it looked even more frantic. I saw the monster running towards me, feeling the heavy footsteps behind me, and quickly took out the ancient sword from the long box and turned around.
But it was not just the monster that ran towards me, I vaguely saw a figure behind the monster.
That man held two daggers and closely followed the monster's back, only to see that he suddenly charged forward and continuously stabbed several times at the monster's back with great force. The monster felt a sharp pain and frantically twisted its body. It was only when the monster twisted its body that I saw clearly that the one holding the two daggers was Ali.
Ali stabbed the monster and wanted to retreat, but the monster's movements were particularly large. One hand grabbed Ali, and I secretly said it was bad. The monster lifted Ali's body and threw him heavily against the stone wall. All I heard was a "bang" sound. Ali was severely smashed against the stone wall and then fell from the stone wall to the ground, shrinking into a painful ball.
At this moment, my body seemed to be filled with hot blood, and I charged at the monster with an ancient sword. The monster, still in excitement, apparently did not expect me to suddenly launch an attack on it.
Just as the sword tip pierced the monster's back, it was unclear whether the ancient sword was too sharp or the monster's skin was too thin. The ancient sword easily pierced the monster's body. I didn't continue to attack like Ali after getting a hit, quickly pulling out the ancient sword and taking a big leap backwards.
And the monster let out a strange cry after being stabbed by the ancient sword, its voice filling the entire cave. The monster quickly turned around and one of its large hands came flying towards me...
