Chapter 8 The Awakening Youth

  Yin and Yang Lovers

Sun Wen held me tightly, "Liang Pei, I'm sorry, my words are a bit heavy, but the fact is that Ji Lan has left. You're sad, and I'm not feeling well either, but he's really gone. You need to come out of this, if he had any awareness, he definitely wouldn't want to see you become like this. Are you an only child? Think about your parents, they can't afford to lose their only pillar."

That night, Sun Wen didn't leave, he just held me in his arms and let me cry my eyes out on his shoulder, listening to me pour out my heart from time to time, comforting me, and finally coaxed me into taking the medicine, I fell asleep soundly in his embrace.

He didn't do anything until the next day when I woke up and his arms were all numb.

That was the first time I had a complete sleep without waking up or having nightmares in two years since Ji Luan left.

The next day, looking at the breakfast Sun Wen had made for me, he patiently advised me to see a psychologist and receive systematic treatment. I knew then that Sun Wen liked me; he had been quietly liking me all along.

That night, I was alone at home.

After taking the medicine, I took out all the photos of us together and gently asked the Kiko in the photo, "I'm leaving, I'm going to start a new life. Kiko, you'd want to see me like this too, wouldn't you?"

The air was filled with the sound of a large clock ticking away, reminding me of the time when we bought it together. I had complained about its loudness back then, but she said that's what made it charming. Since her departure, this clock has become my faithful companion every night.

I stepped on a stool, took down the wall clock, removed the battery inside, and wrapped it up.

Tonight, I bid farewell to the past.

After that, Sun Wen naturally became my guardian and six months later, we got engaged. Sun Wen always said that I was living alone in the marital house with He Zhiyan, it's hard to get out, so he asked me to move in with him, I didn't want to leave at first, but after thinking about it again and again, in order to show respect for him, I still moved over.

But as for Jilan's house, I didn't sell it or rent it out, I just locked it up. At first, I couldn't help but go back to take a look every now and then, but later the intervals between my visits became longer and longer.

It wasn't until after I married Sun Man that I hadn't gone back for almost two months.

I also thought I had really moved on, but I didn't expect that in such a special deep night, I would recall so many past events.

Am I starting to hallucinate again? ---- I'm a bit worried because considering having children after marriage, I've stopped taking medication for some time.

While I was lost in thought, a nurse walked up to me and asked, "Hello, are you a family member of Su Jinan?"

I was stunned for a moment before I came back to myself, and then I realized that Su Jinan was the young man lying inside.

  "Yes, what's wrong?"

"He's been in the ICU for 16 hours now, and all his vital signs are fine. We've decided to move him to a general ward ahead of schedule. If everything goes smoothly, he might wake up soon. You'd better not leave for now." The little nurse said with a tired face, having worked the night shift and feeling extremely exhausted.

I glanced at my watch and it was already six o'clock, so I nodded, "Okay."

After arriving at the general ward, I was exhausted from the collision and fell asleep with my head on the bed of this seriously injured young man. Just as I was in a daze, I suddenly felt that someone's hand was gently stroking my head.

I suddenly woke up to find Su Jinan already awake on the bed, stroking my hair with his hand that wasn't hooked up to an IV. His eyes... were indescribable, filled with a mix of sadness, mystery, and deep affection.

The most frightening thing is that there's a kind of inexplicable familiarity in those eyes!
