Hotel Horror 010
Uncle discovered my discomfort and asked what was wrong. The moment Uncle put his hand on my shoulder, the pain disappeared and I started breathing smoothly. I turned to Uncle and said, "Qin's grandma."
When I looked out of the window again, Grandma Qin's face was gone. The scene just now disappeared instantly. I said to Uncle Ah, "I really saw it just now."
Uncle nodded at me with a thoughtful expression.
As for seeing Grandma Qin in broad daylight, I always thought it was just an illusion, because Uncle didn't see her, he's a medium, can see anything that doesn't belong to the mortal world.
It only takes two hours to fly from Shanghai to Guizhou. Guizhou is located in the eastern part of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with a cool autumn climate. When I was in Qin Village, I heard that the village's intellectual Liang San said that outsiders like to travel to Guizhou during the summer, calling it an "avoiding heat mountain villa".
In that small village in Qin Village, except for Uncle taking me to Shanghai, I haven't been anywhere else.
I knew it wasn't far from Qin Village, Uncle said that Guizhou autumn nights are cool and comfortable, but I didn't believe him, thinking it would be like Shanghai where you can just wear a dress. But after staying near the airport that night, I caught a cold.
At night, I had a high fever, with alternating chills and hot flashes. I covered my head with thick blankets, feeling as if I was in an ice cellar. I couldn't go disturb Uncle, let alone have him stay by my side for half the night.
My head hurts so badly, like being stabbed by needles. I occasionally groan for a couple of sentences, but I don't want Uncle to hear me, he'll worry. Maybe I'm just not used to the weather here, I'll just bear with it.
Sweat had soaked through my clothes, I heard the sound of the door being opened, too weak to stick my head out from under the covers, letting that footstep approach my bedside.
These footsteps, so unfamiliar, isn't it Uncle Ah?
Huddled in my bed, I didn't dare move, despite the splitting headache. The footsteps stopped beside me, and that stranger stood still by my bedside, holding his breath. The room was quiet to the point of being eerie.
I didn't dare make a sound, at this moment I hoped that anyone who came would be better off being a thief than a ghost...
The world was quiet, and I clearly heard the sound of my own accelerating heartbeat. I didn't know what the newcomer wanted to do, and in my heart, I prayed for him to leave quickly.
The quilt was pulled open, and that person seemed to be uncovering my quilt. I trembled all over, closing my eyes tightly. What kind of person is this? Or should I say, what kind of ghost would come for my life like An Lingshuang?
A gust of wind swept across my body, and my tightly closed eyes suddenly opened. The quilt had been lifted by the black shadow in front of me. Moonlight filtered in from the window, but I couldn't make out her features except for that long hair which told me it was a woman. She leaned towards me, and I let out a startled cry, dodging away and rolling off the bed, hitting the back of my head on the wooden table.
The room was suddenly filled with a bright light, not the hotel room's lighting, but a white glow emanating from the woman. The woman wore all black clothes, her extremely long hair trailing on the ground, walking towards me who was on the ground.
I scrambled to my feet and made a dash for the door, but just as I grabbed the handle, it was yanked tight, and the black-haired figure appeared before me, wrapping its hands around my neck and dragging me back into the room.
It wasn't until that flash of red light appeared on my neck that I smelled the scent of burnt hair, got up from the ground, leaned against the locked door, and couldn't open it.
As I turned back, the woman's face lit up by the white light, her black eyes stared at me angrily, without any whites, just a pitch-black expanse.
The black long gown was somewhat tattered, the woman's bare feet emitted a foul odor, I frowned tightly, only then did I see her face clearly, her entire face no longer had any intact skin, it had white spots and began to rot, as if she were a female corpse that had crawled out of a grave.
The female corpse's gaze fell on my neck, and I immediately covered my neck with both hands. A low, gurgling sound came from her throat, like the sound of boiling water, "Blood bead?"
