Chapter 16: Little Devil
Chapter 16: Little Devil
I think Mr. Zhuo is also human, if he has a fever, he should go to the hospital.
I leaned in close to Mr. Zhuo's ear and whispered: "Should we go to a hospital outside for treatment?"
Mr. Zhuo immediately came to his senses when he heard this sentence, using all his strength to hold my hand and said word by word: "Don't go to the hospital."
I was puzzled and thought Mr. Zhuo was also afraid of taking bitter medicine, so I advised him to see a doctor when he's sick, saying that good medicine is bitter but effective for the illness.
Mr. Zhuo shook his head and said, "I can't go to the hospital." After finishing speaking, he closed his eyes again and fell into a coma.
I think Mr. Zhuo may really be unable to go to the hospital, but this can't go on like this either.
Thinking of when I was ill before, my mother would cook porridge for me to drink. So I went to find the owner of the inn and asked him to have Mr. Zhuo cook some porridge for me.
The innkeeper quickly cooked the porridge, I carried a steaming hot bowl of porridge into the house, and as soon as I pushed open the door, I felt a strange breath whizzing past my side.
I didn't pay attention and brought the porridge to Mr. Zhuo's side, just as I was about to feed it to him, I saw a black mark on his forehead that had appeared out of nowhere.
I furrowed my brow and put down the bowl, helping Mr. Zhuo up, and gently touched the black mark on his forehead, finding that the temperature of the black mark was different from other places, with a slight icy coolness.
Mr. Zhuo slowly opened his eyes in a daze, looked at me with a bewildered expression, and his eyes were like those of a newborn baby.
I picked up the porridge and lowered my head, but surprisingly, the porridge in the bowl was gone!
I put down the bowl and sat on the ground, my third eye automatically opened, scanning the entire room in a circle, but I didn't see anyone.
Was I overthinking?
I stood up in doubt, a gust of wind whizzed past me, and I could clearly hear a faint humming sound.
I don't have a single Taoist symbol on me, and even my Yin-Yang eyes are only at the primary level. If I encounter any danger now, I'm just waiting to be killed!
Thinking of this, I involuntarily drew closer to Mr. Zhuo, wanting to protect him from harm. I knew that people who subdued demons and evil spirits were most likely to be targeted by them when they were weak.
That strange sound whizzed past my ear again, this time the howl was a bit louder than before.
I'm so scared that all the hairs on my body are about to stand up and fall off, I tightly grasped Mr. Zhuo's hand.
That strange sound seems to be haunting me, every now and then it rings in my ears again, violently stimulating my nerves.
It was already noon outside, but because this inn was in a shaded location, the room where Mr. Zhuo and I were staying was still quite dim.
It's like this again now, it's simply testing my heart's endurance.
I thought of something similar that happened a long time ago.
In our village, a child in one of the families has contracted a strange illness. As soon as night falls, he starts running a high fever and his whole face turns a waxy yellow.
The child's parents were very anxious and invited many doctors to treat him, but none of the doctors could see what disease the child had contracted.
Some people say that this child must have been possessed by an evil spirit and need to invite a Taoist priest to exorcise the evil spirit from the child.
The child's parents immediately ran outside the village and invited a Taoist priest.
As soon as the Taoist entered the house, he felt that there was something strange and quickly lifted up the quilt covering the child, only to see a black mark on the child's forehead.
The Taoist told the family with certainty that their child was being haunted by a small ghost.
This little demon's magical powers aren't very strong, but it moves quickly. An average Taoist priest can't catch it, however this little demon won't harm people and will only cause those who are targeted by it to have a persistent high fever.
The child's parents asked the Taoist priest to rescue him, but no matter what method the Taoist used, he couldn't subdue the little ghost.
The last Taoist thought of a way and used yellow rice to lure out this little ghost because it was quite greedy.
Although the little ghost is quite greedy, when eating, he still has a certain guard against the talisman.
The Taoist used willow leaves mixed with mountain spring water and stuck them on the little ghost's brow.
The little demon was purified by the willow leaf before it could even react.
I think Mr. Zhuo is now being targeted by this little devil.
I just happen to have nothing on me that can ward off evil spirits, I'll use this Taoist's method to drive him away!
I immediately rushed downstairs to fetch some willow leaves, fetched some mountain spring water and soaked the willow leaves in it, and also asked the boss to prepare a bowl of porridge.
Everything is ready, just waiting for the little devil to take the bait.
After a while, a strange sound suddenly appeared in my ear. I opened my yin-yang eyes and vaguely saw a gray shadow falling on the table where the porridge was placed.
After this grey shadow settled down, I finally saw his appearance clearly.
This little devil looks like a five or six year old child in height, with extremely thin arms and legs.
His face was thin and pointed, his ears were long and droopy beside his face, his eyes almost took up the whole face, his mouth was extremely small, his fingers quickly scooped up the porridge in the bowl to drink.
I understand that this is the best opportunity, holding those few pieces of rotten willow leaves wrapped around the little devil's back.
His ears moved slightly, and I immediately held my breath and crouched down.
The little ghost turned its head quickly and looked around for a while, but didn't notice me. Then it continued to lower its head and eat the porridge.
I took advantage of the moment to quickly stand up, without hesitation, and stuck the willow leaf on the little ghost's brow, shouting loudly: "Ji ji ru lü ling!"
But the little demon's movements were apparently faster than mine, and he easily dodged my attack!
It climbed up the wall like a gecko and onto the ceiling, staring at me with its big round eyes.
I used to fantasize that my future girlfriend must have a pair of enchanting big eyes, until I saw this little devil, and then I realized that having eyes too big isn't good either.
He glared at me from the ceiling, and with my heavenly eyes I could clearly see myself reflected in this little devil's eyes!
That's as scary as it gets!
There are still three willow leaves left in my hand, and they have been exposed to the air for a long time, so they are a bit dry.
Victory or defeat is decided in this one move!
I closed my eyes, casually picked a willow leaf and threw it at the little ghost, shouting "Hurry up, as ordered!"
The little demon teleported instantly and dodged my attack.
I don't know why, but I could originally see the little ghost's movements unclearly. At this moment, however, I clearly saw the little ghost's every move through my heavenly eye.
His movements were just like slow motion on TV, I could catch them clearly!
I think I should be able to put the willow leaf on now, so I quickly ran in the direction the little ghost was moving.
The little ghost moved again, and I turned around and chased after it in its direction.
The little ghost was apparently surprised that I could see its movements clearly, and its moving actions were slightly hesitant.
I took advantage of its hesitation and grabbed the little ghost's arm with one hand, while using the other hand to stick the last willow leaf on the little ghost's brow.
"Hurry up like an imperial decree!"
As I shouted out the incantation, the little demon instantly turned into a wisp of green smoke and drifted out of the window.
I let out a long sigh, feeling like I'd exhausted all my energy, and plopped down on the ground, still able to hear my heartbeat clearly.
"Mr. Han Dong?" Mr. Zhuo suddenly called out behind me.
I sprang up suddenly and turned my head to look at Mr. Zhuo.
Mr. Zhuo didn't know when he woke up, his spirit obviously looked much better, sitting on the bed and gently waving at me.
I immediately ran over with a thud, grasped Mr. Zhuo's hand as if I had seen a relative, and told him what had just happened, hoping that Mr. Zhuo would praise me for driving away the monster.
But Mr. Zhuo listened to my story and didn't show any surprise, instead he asked with a surprised face: "You can actually see the little ghost's movements?"
I nodded seriously and said: "I see it very clearly."
Mr. Zhuo's eyebrows were tightly furrowed together, and I had never seen him with such an expression before. Suddenly, my heart skipped a beat.
Mr. Zhuo didn't wait for me to ask again the doubts in my heart, he got up from bed and quickly packed his luggage.
I was somewhat surprised and asked in puzzlement: "Master, what's wrong with you?"
Mr. Zhuo took his things with an expressionless face and pulled me out of the room.
The owner of the inn saw us coming out and came up enthusiastically to greet us, asking if we were no longer staying for two more days?
Mr. Zhuo smiled and said: "I have more important things to do now." He pulled me out of the hotel as he spoke.
I clearly saw Mr. Zhuo's eyes with a hint of murderous intent when he said the words "something important".
It made me feel a little chilled to the bone, so that afterwards when we two were walking on the road, I didn't dare ask him anything.
I lowered my head and saw that with every step I took, the ground beneath my feet changed once.
Sometimes it's mountains and rivers, sometimes it's deserts and plains.
After walking for an unknown period of time, Mr. Zhuo stopped and said in a cold tone, "We're here."
I lifted my head and saw a cave in front of me, I don't know when it appeared.
"Press the acupoint." Mr. Zhuo ordered.
I couldn't help but shudder and pointed to a place near the cave.
Mr. Zhuo walked over, clasped his hands together in a Buddhist gesture, and shouted: "Open!"
With a loud rumble, a large black hole appeared in the position I just pointed at.
My Heaven's Eye automatically opened again out of control, and I clearly saw that inside the black big hole was a layer upon layer of stairs, all the way down to a stone gate at the bottom.
"What is this?" I asked.
"You'll know once you go in."
Mr. Zhuo said one sentence and then walked down along the stairs.
I furrowed my brow, really couldn't understand why Mr. Zhuo suddenly changed so much.
I sighed and took the first step, but I felt that the air around me was not quite right. The entire staircase was shrouded in a thick, eerie aura!
Mr. Zhuo walked relatively fast and his body had already been submerged in the gloomy atmosphere of Nong Nong.
Everything I see with my third eye is filled with evil spirits, blocking all my vision.
Just now there wasn't so much evil spirit, why did it surge out in such great numbers after Mr. Zhuo went down?
I don't know why but I suddenly have a feeling that this Mr. Zhuo is not the real Mr. Zhuo.
