Chapter Forty-six Thorn
The person riding on the camel looked just like Jiang Yunshui, and at this time, the person on the camel also noticed Cha Qianzong who was leading the horse.
The man on the camel gave Cha Qianzong a benevolent smile, then passed by him and walked forward. Cha Qianzong watched as he left before continuing to walk forward again.
Zha Qian didn't rush to leave the area near Yumen Pass, but instead found a place called "Shamon Inn" to stay. As he was eating noodles downstairs, he heard some commotion outside and looked up to see the man riding a camel approaching him again.
He walked into the inn and sat down casually, also ordering a bowl of noodles to eat. However, after a while, several other people walked into the inn as well.
These people even sat down with the man riding a camel, and the man riding a camel didn't care at all, continuing to eat his own noodles in his bowl.
But the people sitting with him had lost their patience, and one of the men with a dark face slammed his fist on the table, but the bowl placed by the camel rider remained still, pressed down by a single chopstick.
However, the man with a half-black face didn't notice at all, but instead shouted at the person riding the camel: "You little brat! You dared to enter my territory without paying and even injured two of us. It seems that I'll have to leave you half dead here today!"
The man with a smile on his face, who was still eating the noodles in his bowl, suddenly made the half-dark-faced man completely angry, and he wanted to overturn the table, but the table didn't budge.
Even this half-faced black-faced man actually directly knelt down there, which shocked the few people who followed the half-faced black-faced man in, and they didn't know what had happened.
The half-faced black man cursed loudly: "Little beast! Give me a beating to death!"
As the man shouted, the people next to him finally took action. However, they only saw the camel rider swing his legs a few times like a fan, and then these people covered their stomachs in pain and fell to the ground, wailing incessantly.
The half-faced black man was also infuriated, and suddenly drew out the curved knife from his waist, slashing at the camel rider. However, the camel rider merely swiftly raised his chopsticks and poked them at the half-faced black man's wrist, causing him to shudder all over and retreat several steps.
The man with a half-black face finally stopped his trembling after a long time, looking at the camel rider with some horror, then called out to those who had barely stood up and threatened the camel rider a few times before hastily leaving the inn.
After those people left, Cha Qian stood up clapping his hands and exclaimed: "Brother, you really let me see a good show!"
The man riding the camel smiled faintly and said, "It's just a small trick, if you don't mind, let's have a few cups together at the same table."
Zha Qianzong didn't decline, and instead sat down casually in front of the man riding the camel. The man then took out a jug of wine from his saddle bag, opened it with one swift motion, and poured some into two bowls.
The two didn't say much, clinked their cups together and downed their drinks in one gulp. It was truly refreshing to the extreme, which made Cha Qianzong and the camel rider feel quite compatible with each other.
It wasn't until they had drunk two jugs of wine that they both felt like they hadn't had enough, with a feeling that even a thousand cups would be too few when drinking with someone you really connect with.
Just as Zhang Qian was about to order wine for the guests, the camel rider hastily stopped him, saying: "Don't do that. It seems like you're traveling outside for the first time. Don't call for wine in places like this, or you might run into trouble with 'blind lanterns' (black shops)."
Just as the two were talking, there was a loud noise outside the inn. The camel rider immediately stood up and said: "It seems that today's drinking will stop here. If we have fate in the future, you and I will drink together again!"
As he spoke, the man riding the camel slowly walked out, and Cha Qian also followed him out of the inn's gate. Outside, under the light of the torches, there were at least several dozen people, all armed with knives and guns, glaring fiercely at the man who had come out riding the camel, and also including Cha Qian in their gaze.
Just then, the leader of the group shouted "Kill!" and they all charged towards the man on camelback. The man on camelback was not afraid at all, and suddenly a long whip appeared in his hand. With one crack of the whip, several people were knocked to the ground and couldn't get up again.
Following Cha Qian out of the camel riding man, was also surrounded by these people, but they all underestimated this young man.
Not long after, several people around Zha Qian were crying out in pain, apparently with broken bones and torn tendons. However, Zha Qian did not hold back and continued to knock the people around him to the ground.
However, these dozens of people finally fought desperately, and the man riding the camel and Cha Qian were gradually unable to withstand it. The man riding the camel suddenly blew a whistle, and at that moment, the camel tied up in the stable stood up, broke open the rope and galloped towards here with long legs.
Zha Qian's horse suddenly broke free from its rope and galloped towards them, causing the camel and horse to create a commotion. As a result, the dozens of people were scattered in all directions.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Zha Qian and the man riding a camel mounted their respective vehicles and headed into the distance, leaving behind only the innumerable sounds of drinking and scolding.
After running for a few miles, the man riding the camel slowed down his pace and rode alongside Zha Qian, saying: "Thanks for your help. I haven't asked for your name yet. How old are you?"
"My surname is Cha, my name is Tuluo, and I am 19 years old."
The man riding the camel said: "So it's you, Turo brothers. It seems that you really want me to call you Big Brother."
"What is Big Brother's name?"
The camel rider said: "My surname is Jiang and my name is Jing."
Zha Qian bowed with his fists together: "I've met Jiang Jing."
The camel-riding Jiang Jing also said: "Turu brothers."
Having learned each other's names, Zha Qian and Jiang Jing found a place to sit down, gathered some firewood, and started chatting about their respective situations.
Cha Qianzong also knew what kind of person Jiang Jing was. Jiang Jing was a wanted criminal caught by the Nine Prefectures, but he hadn't done anything like murder or arson. What Jiang Jing had done wasn't moral either - he specialized in stealing and digging up tombs.
Before this, Jiang Jing had four or five accomplices by his side. However, after being informed on, they were all captured and taken away, while Jiang Jing barely managed to escape. The accomplices who were caught were beheaded the very next day.
Having no other choice, Jiang Jing had to come to the location of Yumen Pass. He didn't come here casually; firstly, he wanted to avoid being caught by the government's arrest warrant, and secondly, he received news that there was an ancient tomb in this place. Moreover, two old friends of his were also in this area, so this time he came to look for them as well.
Cha Qian's interest grew even more because his master, Tong Biao, also known as the "Grave Robber", had told him during those six months of recuperation that he was a "Grave Robber" who did the dirty business. During this period, Tong Biao not only told Cha Qian many things about ancient tombs and mausoleums but also taught him some of the skills of a "Grave Robber".
However, Cha Qianzong was not very open-minded about this thing, so he didn't remember much of what he learned, but it's still a gain.
It just so happened that he met Jiang Jing, who was in the same line of work, and Zha Qianzong felt it was fate, so he decided to follow Jiang Jing together. Jiang Jing also agreed to take him to see this kind of thing.
On the second day, Jiang Jing took Cha Qian to their mutual friend's place first. This ancient tomb was impossible for just the two of them to handle; they needed someone else to lend a hand.
After meeting with Jiang Jing and the other two old friends, Cha Qian also got to know them. After making some preparations, he went to the ancient tomb that Jiang Jing had already explored. Along the way, Jiang Jing carefully told Cha Qian what to pay attention to after entering the ancient tomb, and instructed him to follow her closely.
