Chapter 11: Picture Carvings

  Chapter Eleven: Picture Carvings

Those waiting outside, including Zhang Qian and others, were getting increasingly anxious as time had passed. However, Jiang Yunshui hadn't come out yet, nor had the people from Huoziying and Pang San's side.

Just as Cha Qian was about to let the person go down, a person from the thief cave came out and said: "The person who went in has already reached 30 meters, but there is no sign of him. Moreover, when we went to find him, we encountered 'Man Tou' halfway!"

After hearing this from the person who came out of the cave, Peng Tianying walked over and grabbed the collar of the person from the wasteland camp, shouting: "The person is gone! You actually made someone disappear under your watch!"

Zhou Futong hurriedly pried open Peng Tianyang's hand and comforted him, saying: "Old Six! The next part directly mentions 'barbarian head', think carefully about what situation this is."

Zha Qianzhong said to the people of Haoziying: "Leave ten people behind, and everyone else follow me inside!"

Peng Tianrui was about to follow when Zhou Futong stopped him, saying: "Old Six! Don't forget the rules of your family, geomancers are not allowed to enter tombs!"

As a result, Peng Tianyang did not listen to Zhou Futong's words and directly became the first person to enter the cave.

Zha Qian and Zhou Futong's faces changed drastically. Zha Qian said to Pang San and the others, "We've already laid down explosives around the perimeter of our camp. You can't leave now. Come with us!"

After finishing speaking, Cha Qian led the people of Haoziying into the tomb passage. Pang San Ye originally planned to take advantage of the situation to escape, but after hearing what Cha Qian said, he didn't dare to gamble and couldn't afford to lose either.

Pang Sanzi led Jin Douzi and his adopted son into the cave, followed by the dozen or so people he had invited this time and his own dozen or so followers.

Zhou Futong and others waited until Pang San Ye and his men entered the cave, then led the remaining dozen or so people inside.

The people of Haoziying and Pang San's who had been waiting there for a long time, after they passed through the tomb path into the real tomb, began to take them along the winding path towards Jiang Yunshui.

When Zha Qian and his men had walked halfway, they saw two people from Haoziying fighting with that "barbarian".

A face without features, supported by a black hairy object, blocked the way forward, and those black hairs were like tangled together, like a bunch of black spears, every time people from the mouse camp entered within a certain range, they would fiercely stab over.

Peng Tianyang caught up from behind and saw the "barbarian head" that was blocking the way to the camp, and when he saw this thing, even Peng Tianyang couldn't help but take a breath of cold air.

This "barbarian head" was said to have appeared during the Shu period, when Zhuge Liang wanted to cross the river but was blocked by a vengeful ghost in the river. Therefore, Zhuge Liang used the method of sacrificing with a "barbarian head", but at that time, he could not find a "barbarian head" and had to use a steamed bun made from flour as a substitute for sacrifice.

However, this method, although it deceived the vengeful spirit in the river for a while, eventually made the river unpeaceful all the time. Later, someone used a secret method to cultivate a plant that looked like a human head and threw it into the river, ultimately making the vengeful spirit in the river no longer stir up trouble.

And this method of cultivating "barbarian heads" with plants was recorded by the descendants of this tall man and included in that book.

However, the "barbarian head" in the tomb seen by Peng Tianyang has a shape that is 50% like a human head. Such a "barbarian head" is not easy to deal with, and it has grown something like human hair, making it even more difficult to handle.

Finally, Pang San Ye and his men also arrived here, followed by Zhou Fu Tong, but were blocked by that "barbarian head", so many people couldn't get in.

Jin Douzi looked at the "barbarian head" and told Pang San Ye about its origin, also telling him that since this "barbarian head" had been in such a dark place for thousands of years, it should be called "Yin Barbarian Head".

Jin Douzi was originally unwilling to enter this place even if he was beaten to death, but under the gaze of Pang San Ye that seemed to be about to kill someone, Jin Douzi entered such a place for the first time. However, after entering this place and seeing "Yin Man Tou", he suddenly felt that he might be able to ask Pang San Ye and the people of Hao Zi Ying for help.

This was a secret in Jintouz's heart, a secret that his master had told him, but the timing wasn't right yet, and he still needed to wait.

Cha Qian and his men from the Thousand Strongholds had been in and out of such places for years, so when they saw that "Yin Mán Tóu" now, they weren't particularly flustered.

Under the arrangement of Cha Qian, the people of Huoziying threw torches towards the "Yinman Head", but this "Yinman Head" was much smarter than they thought. After feeling the torch burning its black tentacles, it actually moved.

When the dark head retreated, Zha Qian led the people of Haoziying into the inner courtyard. The people behind naturally followed suit. The dark head suddenly stopped in front.

Then Cha Qianzong looked at the moving murals, and before Peng Tianyang reminded him, black branch-like things protruded from the murals and wrapped around Cha Qianzong in front.

And all the murals in that mural began to become active at this time, and they actually extended black branches outwards, quietly extending past everyone who appeared here.

But the giant head, which had been quiet all along, suddenly twisted its neck and then rushed towards the wall in an instant. As a result, the giant head did not hit the wall, but passed through it and disappeared.

Jiang Yingshui hastily got up and walked towards the wall that the giant head had passed through. When he stretched out his hand to touch the wall, it turned out that the wall was extremely solid. No matter how hard he pushed against the wall, he couldn't pass through it like the giant head did.

Jiang Fengshui tried the other four walls one after another, but still couldn't get out. He sat down dejectedly, staring at the pearl in his hand that was emitting a soft white glow, and now he didn't know what to do next.

Just as he raised the white pearl, he saw things appearing on the walls around him through the pearl, and those things made Jiang Yunshui get up from the ground again.

On each of the walls, there was a very intricate carving. In this carving, Jiang Feng saw an image of that huge head. From the carving of this huge head, Jiang Feng figured out some origins of this thing.

In the picture in front of Jiang Yunshui, a person is putting a baby into a box that looks like a miniature coffin. The box is then placed into a pool, and someone seems to be pouring something into the pool.

The box was opened, and the baby's head inside had grown much larger than before. Then the baby was placed in another location that looked like a crawling insect.

The baby and the insect-like thing grew together, then were taken away by someone. This time, Jiang Meng couldn't see where the baby was put, but it seemed that the baby's suffering would be even greater.

When the last few pictures appeared in Jiang's eyes, he trembled all over, and the baby became a deformed creature, with an enormous head occupying more than half of his body. Moreover, this baby was buried together with others in a tomb, and the content of the picture stopped abruptly.

Jiang Fengshui looked at the other three engravings, one of which was the black hairy thing he had seen before, and it seemed to be extremely venomous.

On the left side of Jiang's water, in that picture frame, he saw the origin of the mural. The mural was actually also raised by humans. However, this mural seemed to have been dug out from a tomb and after various methods, it became a man-eating mural.

In this moment, what finally appears is that the mural has come back to life due to the flames and swallowed up everything near it.

After finishing the three thrilling engravings, Jiang Yunshui finally looked at the last one, which was even more cruel.

In the first scene of the picture scroll, it seems that many people entered a raised mound, and then these people saw many strange and bizarre things.

In the second scene, some people found a coffin floating in mid-air and eventually destroyed it.

In the third scene, the coffin was opened, and inside, apart from a skeleton, there was a book-like thing placed beside the bones.

In the fourth scene, the book is taken out by someone, but a collapse occurs at this place, and everyone starts to escape outward.

In the fifth sub-picture, only one person with a knife was left in front of Qiu Long. There were many people lying under this person's feet, and the scroll was in this person's hand.

In the sixth subsidiary screen, a person is placed in a coffin and then carried into a mountain-like imperial crown for burial. The place was divided into two layers, upper and lower, with two coffins of the same size and pattern placed in each layer.

In the seventh Fu painting, this place is sealed off by people, and everyone has a look of horror on their faces. The most shocking thing is that this expression is extremely vivid, as if it were about to come alive from the painting itself.

Jiang Fengshui put down that shiny white pearl, he now felt like he knew the huge secret of this place!
