Chapter 54: Death is Heavier than Mount Tai! (1)

However, what Chen Long couldn't understand was that if Li Youzhen had asked someone to seal Li Yougui's soul in this place, then the mysterious person who did it must have had some connection with Li Youzhen.

Looking at the grand and imposing layout of the tomb, Chen Long determined that this master was an extremely formidable figure. But according to historical records, Li Youzhen had been besieged by Li Siyuan and had taken his own life. So why would he be buried in such a magnificent tomb?

Just as Chen Long was pondering this question, a cold wind suddenly blew through the air, extinguishing all the candles and lanterns in the tomb. The darkness was so thick that it seemed to have a physical presence.

Suddenly, a faint light appeared in front of Chen Long. It was a small, glowing orb that hovered in mid-air. As he watched, the orb began to grow larger and brighter, illuminating the dark space around them.

Chen Long felt a chill run down his spine as he realized that this must be the soul of Li Youzhen. But why had it appeared now, after all these years?

The orb continued to glow with an otherworldly light, filling Chen Long with a sense of awe and wonder. He felt as though he was in the presence of something truly divine.

And then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, the orb vanished. The darkness closed in around them once again, leaving Chen Long feeling stunned and disoriented.

But as his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he saw that they were no longer alone in the tomb. A figure stood before them, its presence seeming to fill the entire space.

It was a man with piercing eyes and jet-black hair, dressed in the robes of an emperor. He regarded Chen Long with a cold, calculating gaze, as though sizing him up for some unknown purpose.

"Who are you?" Chen Long asked, trying to keep his voice steady.

The figure didn't respond. Instead, it raised its hand, and Chen Long felt a strange energy wash over him. It was as though he had been transported to another time and place, one where the rules of reality no longer applied.

  And then, everything went black.

When Chen Long came to, he found himself back in his own body, lying on the stone floor of the tomb. The mysterious figure was nowhere to be seen, but the air still seemed to vibrate with its presence.

Chen Long struggled to his feet, his mind reeling with questions. What had just happened? Who was that figure, and what did it want from him?

As he stumbled out of the tomb, he saw that the sun was setting over the mountains, casting a golden glow over the landscape. But Chen Long's heart remained heavy with foreboding.

He knew that his encounter with the mysterious figure had changed him in some fundamental way. He could feel it in his bones, a sense of destiny calling to him from beyond the grave.

And he knew that he would never be able to go back to his old life again. The secrets he had uncovered in the tomb would haunt him forever, driving him forward on a journey into the unknown.

  The end.
