Chapter 3: Encounter with the Man in Black Again
After sitting on the train for seven and a half hours, when Ji Su-yin walked out of the station with her luggage, the originally sunny weather suddenly began to gather dark clouds. Ji Su-yin looked up at the sky and lamented in her heart: "Not now! Why are you raining on me?" After squeezing through the crowds and getting into a taxi with great difficulty, she got off directly at the school gate. The driver was a talkative person who chatted happily with her all the way, telling her many interesting things, including the unknown history of the school's founding and the top ten strange events in the local area. After thanking the driver and getting out of the car, the sky was just sprinkling fine rain, gently kissing Ji Su-yin's cheeks, and she helplessly dragged her luggage to school.
This school is really big! The rain was getting heavier and heavier, but fortunately, there were students selling umbrellas on the side of the road, temporarily solving the urgent need for new students and their parents. When I arrived at the student square to register, I saw a long line of people waiting, but luckily, a kind volunteer senior helped Ji Suoyu carry her luggage, took her around to get everything stamped, paid the fees, chose a dormitory, and even got her military training uniform. However, due to the heavy rain, there were not enough volunteers, so the senior didn't escort her to find her dormitory, but only gave her directions and let her go on her own.
With one hand dragging her luggage, it was indeed very strenuous! Ji SuYin had to stop and rest her sore arm every few steps. As she stopped again to massage her left arm, a sudden Audi sped by, "Whoosh~" splashing up dirty water from the ground, drenching Ji SuYin's head and face. Ji SuYin gritted her teeth as she wiped away the water droplets on her face, 100% certain that the handsome face she had caught a glimpse of earlier was indeed the black-clad man from the cemetery!
Damn it! Having money is not that great! Not like this! Suddenly, Ji Su's back hair stood on end, her brain ached, and her vision blurred, with that unbearable eerie feeling again. What was going on? Ji Su tried hard to shake off the dizziness and stay awake, but the surrounding noise of people and rain seemed to fade away, separated from her by thick fog, sounding extremely vague and unreal.
It wasn't until a while later that the feeling gradually faded away, and her eyes could see again. It was as if she had sensed something, and Ji Su Xun subconsciously turned to look in that direction, where the scene was clear amidst the daze.
That was a wutong tree that needed several people to hug it, extremely sturdy and lush. Through the white rain curtain, I felt that the tree emitted a faint green aura, making me feel no vitality, but instead, somewhat dull and lifeless! At this time, under the tree, there was a **-year-old little boy squatting, wearing a blue plaid shirt. The little boy was digging the soil with his head down, wondering why he didn't hold an umbrella. The boy seemed to notice Qisu's gaze, suddenly turned towards her and grinned at her.
In an instant, Ji Su's breath caught in her throat as she stared at the little boy with wide eyes. All she could hear was a clear and crisp childlike laughter of "heh heh heh". What kind of face is that?! It was deathly pale, with sunken black eyes that didn't have any whites, and when he smiled, his yellowish-black teeth were crooked and incomplete. Is this even a normal person?! Suddenly, a car drove by, splashing another wave of dirty water on her. Ji Su quickly came back to her senses, shaking her head, and the chaotic sounds of the rain and people's voices became clear again in her ears.
Gasping for breath, Ji Su's voice raised her head again to look at the Chinese parasol tree. The crown was lush and dense, with palm-sized leaves washed by summer rain, revealing a bright green color that was very pleasing to the eye and refreshing. Looking under the tree, there were still some little kids!
In an instant, Ji Su-yin's heart surged with alarm, she suspected that she hadn't been resting well lately, or else why would she keep having hallucinations? Knocking on her head, Ji Su-yin suppressed the turmoil in her heart and continued to search for her dormitory with her luggage. Ji Su-yin lived in a four-person dormitory, each person had a bed, and under the bed was equipped with a computer desk, the environment wasn't bad.
Ji Su-yin chose a bed near the door, and since her roommates hadn't arrived yet, she put away her luggage, grabbed a broom and mop, and started cleaning. After more than half an hour of cleaning, two roommates came in, seemingly already acquainted with each other, and after exchanging greetings, they also joined in on the cleaning, chatting as they worked.
Both are from Jingzhou, Hubei. The one with a round face and straight hair is called Huang Xiaoyu, and the curly-haired and slender one is called Yan Fen'er. Huang Xiaoyu is more optimistic and loves to make trouble, chattering non-stop, while Yan Fen'er is relatively quiet. By the time they were about to finish cleaning, several people had already become familiar with each other and agreed to meet up later for a big meal.
Just as they were laughing and chatting, the door was suddenly pushed open. The three of them froze, looking at a couple who appeared to be high-ranking intellectuals standing in the doorway, looking around inside. After entering, each of them put down four large suitcases in their hands, and then a fashionable beauty slowly walked in behind them, glanced at them, and slowly walked towards the last empty bed, sat down, took out her phone, and started playing with it with her head down.
The couple, who looked like a beautiful parent, suddenly seemed to receive some kind of instruction. The man started rolling up his sleeves and tidying up the bed, while the woman turned around with a smile and chatted enthusiastically with them. Several people endured the woman's enthusiasm, exchanging an unbelievable and unbearable glance when she wasn't paying attention. The dormitory had already been cleaned by her, so there was nothing much to tidy up. Towards the end, the woman invited several people to have dinner together, and they couldn't refuse, so they went together. During the process, the beauty kept her head down playing with her phone, ignoring everyone.
The couple led a few people into a fairly high-end hotel, pushed the menu to them and let them order at will. The three of them were very embarrassed by the couple's extravagance, nodding their heads in agreement that they would get along well with Ji Huali. When they heard the three agree, Mr. and Mrs. Ji showed a happy and satisfied expression, while Ji Huali herself seemed nonchalant.
A meal was enjoyed by all, and Ji's parents sent several people back to their dormitory. Before leaving, they repeatedly reminded them, and Ji Huali appeared extremely impatient. After the people left, the dormitory fell into a strange silence. Ji Huali turned around to take a bath herself, although she washed for an hour. During this interval, the three of them exchanged opinions and decided it was best to observe quietly and get along slowly, as people would naturally become closer over time.
It wasn't easy waiting for Ji Huali to come out, and several people went to bed one after another. Ji Suyin fell onto the bed, truly exhausted, and before falling into a deep sleep, she was still thinking that it's not easy getting along with a big sister like Ji Huali...
In the middle of the night, the bedroom door suddenly creaked open by itself, and a cool breeze blew in. Even in summer, being woken up by the cold wind was unbearable. Ji Suoyu couldn't take it anymore, so she sat up, rubbed her eyes, and looked at the sky. It was already dawn, with a grayish-white hue, just two hours before sunrise.
Ji Suoyin stretched and suddenly lost her sleepiness, wanting to go out for a walk. She quietly got out of bed, put on her slippers, looked around the dorm room, and saw that all three of her roommates were sleeping soundly. She carefully tiptoed out of the room, making sure not to make any noise as she closed the door behind her. Standing in the empty and quiet corridor, Ji Suoyin let out a breath she had been holding in, and began to head outside.
It was a bit cool in the summer morning, Ji Suoyun rubbed her arms hard and secretly hated herself for not wearing a jacket when she came out. Ji Suoyun walked for a long time but didn't feel tired, walking down the dormitory building, passing by the Unity Square, two student canteens, and finally arriving at the University Student Square.
As soon as she looked up, she saw the huge Chinese parasol tree in front of her. Ji Su Yin frowned and stared at the dark and unclear crown. How did she end up here? As she approached, Ji Su Yin saw someone squatting under the Chinese parasol tree, digging into the soil. But this time it wasn't the little boy with a blue checked shirt from daytime, but a woman in her thirties with long curly hair.
Curious about what the woman was doing, Ji Su-yin cautiously approached her and asked in a low voice: "Uh... miss, what are you doing?" The woman seemed to not hear her at all, ignoring her words. Ji Su-yin raised her tone and reached out to tap the woman's shoulder: "Miss, you..."
Suddenly, his hand passed through the woman's shoulder without touching anything substantial! Ji SuYin was startled and quickly withdrew her hand, staring wide-eyed in confusion. Undeterred, Ji SuYin tried again, waving her hand towards the woman's body, only to pass through unimpeded each time. How could this be? Ji SuYin stared intently at her own hands, as if trying to bore a hole into them.
Suddenly, the clothes on her left side were lightly pulled, and Ji Su's voice subconsciously turned to look. A snow-white small hand was grasping her hem, and following the hand to look aside, a pale white small face, black eyes without eye whites, grinned to reveal black and yellow incomplete teeth.
Ji Su's voice was shocked, unable to move. She stared wide-eyed and gasped heavily, but oxygen couldn't enter her starving lungs. Just as she was about to faint, a low male voice suddenly came from beside her: "What are you doing here?"
One big one small head turned to look over, that several steps away standing, frowning with a cold face boy, wasn't it the black-clad man from the cemetery? Before Ji Su had time to react, how could he be at this time, appearing in this location, his whole body shook, and his vision went black.
