The Twelve-Headed Wild Beast

  A 12-headed fierce beast

The dragon pillar finally aligned with the carvings on the ground, and the entire space suddenly fell silent. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of people's breathing. Suddenly, a part of the carvings on the ground sank, revealing a circular pit about ten meters in diameter. A hot air current burst out of the pit, accompanied by a pungent smell of decay. The four of them immediately retreated backward, using the only remaining life support equipment to breathe, which Peng Jianjun had been carrying on his back all along, while everyone else had discarded theirs earlier.

They adjusted their breathing, and the four of them looked towards the direction of the pit at the same time. Suddenly, a loud rumbling sound came from inside the pit, followed by a massive shadow that burst out and climbed onto the dark ceiling, appearing and disappearing suddenly.

"My Emperor, if we had this thing to aid us in battle back then, how could the world not be unified? Perhaps that old codger used this very tactic to unify the six nations! Rebellion is justified, rebellion is justified."

"Shut up, okay?" Liao Dongfeng whispered to Peng Jianjun.

At this time, Liao Dongfeng signaled everyone to crouch down. He then used a dagger to draw on the ground, pointing to the distant pit and drawing a circle on the ground as a substitute. Next, he pointed to the large knife behind Peng Jianjun's back and shook his head towards the rifle. After that, he explained with hand gestures to let him go around to the other side and wait. This time, Liao Dongfeng did not assign tasks to Feng Letian and Hai Chen, but only whispered to them to quietly stay here, then stood up and was about to leave.

At this time, Feng Le Tian grabbed his sleeve and stood up, staring at his face with an angry gaze. The two men stared at each other for about half a minute before Liao Dongfeng suddenly shook off Feng Le Tian's hand and turned to leave. However, Feng Le Tian refused to let go and continued to cling to Liao Dongfeng. Liao Dongfeng reluctantly lowered his head, then suddenly raised the ghost mask lantern and placed it between them. Feng Le Tian did not back away, and Liao Dongfeng saw that her eyes were slowly showing signs of decay. He quickly hid the lantern behind him and leaned in close to her ear, whispering: "Miss, what do you really want?"

Feng Le Tian leaned in close to his ear and said: "I want to help."

Liao Dongfeng looked at Hai Chen and gestured for him to pull Feng Le Tian away. Then he quietly rejected Feng Le Tian, "No tacit understanding, sorry, it's too dangerous to cooperate with you."

After finishing speaking, he walked away without looking back. At this time, Hai Chen also suddenly stood up and pulled Feng Le Tian with one hand, saying in a low voice: "Let him go, at this moment, no matter what you say, he won't listen."

A gigantic snake was coiling above their heads, and from its enormous body, Liao Dongfeng could clearly see the distance between the ground and the top of his head. At this moment, the giant snake did not launch an attack; it simply coiled above their heads with a piercing gaze, giving everyone a chance to get a clear look at it.

The giant snake's body was about 10 meters long, and its scales were emitting a faint blue glow. However, after taking a closer look, Liao Dongfeng felt that calling it a giant snake wasn't quite accurate, as it also had legs - nine eagle-like claws that allowed it to climb with ease. At this moment, one of the beast's heads suddenly plunged into the ground and swallowed a newly appeared insect-woman whole, then let out a low, strange cry.

This suddenly scared Peng Jianjun, because the ghost woman who was swallowed up suddenly appeared 1 meter away from him, he didn't even notice, fortunately, the target of the nine-footed beast was it, Peng Jianjun then swallowed a mouthful of saliva and secretly cursed: "It's really close! You ghost thing, scared me half to death."

Just as he finished speaking, Peng Jianjun took a light step forward, but unfortunately, his foot landed on a white maggot. However, this maggot was no longer soft-bodied; its skin had become extremely hard. Peng Jianjun lost his balance and fell backwards onto the ground, and his back happened to land on another white maggot. The feeling was like bumping into an iron lump, causing him intense pain. He quickly flipped over and lay flat on the ground, still cursing in his heart.

When the pain subsided a bit, Peng Jianjun finally opened his eyes wide, only to find that there was a white maggot rolling around under his eyelid. As he watched, the maggot's skin gradually turned light green, giving him a bad premonition. Peng Jianjun cursed again in his heart: "Damn it, so you're those egg bodies! If they are indeed egg bodies, then this massive creature is not just one..."

As he thought of this, he quickly got up from the ground and crept towards Liao Dongfeng, gesturing with his hands as he walked. As he approached Liao Dongfeng, Peng Jianjun's gestures suddenly stopped, because at that moment he saw Liao Dongfeng holding a ghost mask lantern in one hand, while the other hand was rapidly changing, his skin turning black bit by bit, and his pupils suddenly gleaming with blood light.

"Oh no! This kid has really become a zombie! What should we do?"

Peng Jianjun retreated while thinking, and his heart became more and more afraid. Suddenly, he heard Liao Dongfeng say: "Junzi, in a moment you aim at the giant snake's head and chop it fiercely, don't worry about me."

"Damn it, I thought you were dead! You'd better give me an explanation after this is all over."

Just as he finished speaking, he felt a surge of energy flowing from the top of his head, and this energy flowed down with incredible speed, instantly knocking Peng Jianjun to the ground. He also knew that the snake head had arrived, so he didn't hesitate, only to see him using all his strength to flip his body over, holding up a large knife in front of his chest. At this time, the snake head had already opened its huge mouth and was about to strike, but suddenly Peng Jianjun's figure disappeared. Liao Dongfeng saw that Peng Jianjun had been swallowed by the snake head, and his blood instantly boiled. In that instant, he had already arrived near the snake head, his right hand tightly grasping the ghost face lantern and smashing it with all his might, while his left hand inserted into the snake head with a "whooshing" sound, using force and roaring loudly. The huge snake head was instantly torn in two, and a loud roar echoed through the air.

"You little scoundrel is really fierce, are you still Liao Dongfeng?"

From the big pit that was smashed out by the snake head on the ground, Peng Jianjun's greetings came, and Liao Dongfeng turned back and shouted: "Bring out your fierce energy when you killed the big mouse, I'll attract the snake head in a moment, you just chop hard, ok?"

"I think you're enough on your own, I'm just redundant."

Just as he finished speaking, he was knocked to the ground again by a downward airflow. This time, three strong gusts of wind came from above, followed by three loud thuds. Three giant snake heads simultaneously smashed into the ground, while Liao Dongfeng had already dodged 3 meters away, his teeth clenched with a cracking sound.

  "Get moving."

Liao Dongfeng shouted, and then he twisted one of the snake heads with all his might, reversing it, and a series of cracking sounds were heard as the snake head was literally twisted off. Peng Jianjun was not to be outdone, and suddenly leapt up from the large pit, hacking fiercely at one of the snake heads. At this time, another snake head swung over horizontally, and Peng Jianjun withdrew his large blade, using the momentum to come back with a slash from below. The attacking snake head was split in two, and half of it also left the beast's body, falling to the ground with a thud. Peng Jianjun didn't pay any attention to it, turning back to continue hacking at the previous snake head until it had no more strength to attack before he stopped.

Imagine, this massive creature had never suffered such a heavy blow before. Seeing four heads shattered and fragmented, the remaining eight snake heads also rushed down, linking the massive body of the beast, and the ground shook violently.
