Chapter 12 A Thrilling Moment on Weekend

Chapter 12 A Thrilling Moment on Weekend

After Ning Meng returned home, she became a diligent little bee, washing and wringing out clothes, washing bed sheets, wiping tables and chairs, and mopping the floor... Just as she was resting her waist, Yang Ming's phone call came rushing over.

She gazed at the flashing name on the screen, secretly delighted but not quite certain what role this Yang Ming would play in her game of chess - a pawn, a knight or a horse?

She took a deep breath and curved up the corners of her mouth towards the phone, "What's so important, Yang Ming?"

Yang Ming chuckled lightly on the phone, "Yesterday I helped you get an autograph and a photo together, don't you have any expression of gratitude?"

As expected, it's really tacky, but when you eat someone else's food, you have to be soft on them... Although Ning Meng is a poor devil, repaying debts is only right and proper, so she naturally puts her words into action.

"Rather than rushing, let's plan for noon. My sister is inviting you to lunch, somewhere in the city center. You pick a place and we'll make sure to meet there."

A faint sound of laughter was heard, "Indeed, it's a great move."

Half an hour later, the first floor of KFC was crowded with people coming and going. At a table by the window, Yang Ming stared at a hamburger and sighed, "Ning Meng, you're just treating me to this? I got excited for nothing."

Ning Meng first attacked the potato chips, without even looking up, "Don't you like it? Then let's change to McDonald's."

Yang Ming waved his hand, resigned to taking a big bite of the hamburger. He raised an eyebrow and revealed two shallow dimples, "I have to say, I used to despise Western fast food, but strangely, after you've handled it, the flavor is clearly different, fragrant and delicious."

"Glib tongue." Ning Meng glared at him sideways, "Don't be ungrateful, this is the highest standard I've invited people with, equivalent to Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, got it?"

Yang Ming had a mouthful of Coca-Cola and almost choked on it.

"Don't be too excited, this treatment isn't always available, but it's not that rare either. As long as you behave well, sister will bring you here often." Ning Meng spoke with the same gentle gaze and soft tone she used when talking to kindergarten kids.

A group of black ducks flew over in front of Yang Ming. The woman opposite him pulled out potato chips one by one, calm and composed.

A plate of Western-style leftovers was swept clean in an instant.

Yang Ming insisted on courtesy and asked with bright and gentle eyes, "Do you want to watch a movie or go shopping? Brother is free today, accompany you all the way."

Ning Meng looked at him with a pleased expression, stroking his belly lazily and replied, "Who cares?"

Yang Ming ignored her protests and dragged her into the nearby cinema city.

"What kind of movies do you like?"

Ning Meng raised her eyes, and on the wall above was a row of posters: romantic, passionate violence, suspenseful thrillers... She poked at the third one.

"Midnight Heartbeat"... Yang Ming looked at the long-haired white-clothed female ghost and the blood-stained hands that suddenly emerged from the ground, furrowed his brow, turned sideways to look at her and asked, "Are you sure?"

  Ning Meng nodded slightly.

There was once a comment that said girls watch horror movies to seek a kind of psychological dependence, and take the opportunity to snuggle into their boyfriend's arms and be coquettish. Yang Ming imagined the scene and secretly found it amusing.

"What's wrong with you, hurry up, or the good spot will be gone." Ning Meng glared at him with her eyes wide open, turned around and walked to the front of the small shop, carrying out a large bucket of fire sparklers.

The slender and beautiful ticket seller looked at Yang Ming's helpless appearance, a burst of envy, and joked, "This film has a horror index that is unprecedented in history. Men who have been scared to cry are there, your girlfriend really has a big temper."

"Huh?......" Yang Mings gaze fell on the goose-yellow figure not far away, and he smiled slyly, "Isn't that right, an abnormal woman, soon there will be plenty of opportunities to make her cry."

It turned out that the person who was crying wasn't Ning Meng.

On the screen, the old house's chimney smoke, narrow corridors, corpses, skulls... A young woman shows a very frightened expression, looking around nervously. In the corridor, she walks quickly, followed by a faint rustling sound, she stops, and there is complete silence. She rushes to the elevator, panting heavily, looking around, her hand constantly pressing the "down" button, with no one behind her, she lets out a sigh of relief. Turning her head, the elevator door suddenly opens, and a bloody severed arm stretches out.

"Ah......" The whole audience erupted in a chorus of screams, with some girls taking the opportunity to snuggle into their boyfriends' arms.

The on-site sound effect was excellent, terrifying and thrilling... Yang Ming's heart suddenly tightened, subconsciously closing his eyes. When he opened them again, a smiling face stared at him with a teasing gaze.

Lemon popped a popcorn into her mouth, and her eyes sparkled with moisture, "Yang Ming, you're not afraid, are you?"

Yang Ming snorted coldly and refused to admit it, "What's there to be afraid of? I'm not some delicate little girl..."

She let out a soft "oh" and continued to stare intently at the screen.

For the next half hour, Yang Ming, in order to prove his bravery, didn't bat an eyelid. However, someone who was paying close attention still noticed that his fists gripping the armrests would clench from time to time, and his face grew increasingly pale.

As Yang Ming walked out of the projection room, his two legs were still trembling slightly and felt a bit powerless.

Ning Meng exclaimed as she walked, "It's too beautiful, I'm not tired at all..." She turned her head and called out, "Yang Ming, next time I'll invite you to see it."

Yang Ming perfunctorily murmured a few "uh-huhs", his heart secretly crying out in distress.

Little brat, dare to fight with me.
