Chapter Thirty-Three: Encounter with Her Again
"Your Majesty, let's wait for Wang brother to wake up before talking." Xuan Nuo successfully eased the tense atmosphere in the hall.
"Yes, Your Majesty, let's wait for the Crown Prince to wake up first." Minister Zhou also saw that it wasn't right and immediately changed his tone "Princess, why don't you return to the palace in a few days? The Empress is missing you terribly." Then he said to Xuan Jiu Tian "Your Majesty, this old slave will not disturb you anymore. I'll take General Qian back to the palace now."
"Alright, General Qian will follow you back to the imperial court. It's not easy for Your Excellency to come to Loulan even once, so it's better to stay for a few more days." Xuan Jiu Tian withdrew his fierce gaze and smiled at Duke Zhou. Su Sheng Yi let out a sigh of relief and sat firmly on the throne. He waved his hand to have the female official lead Duke Zhou away to rest.
"Princess, you should also get some rest. Yu'er owes you one." Xuan Jiu Tian also waved his hand, indicating the end of the court session.
Returned to the Mo Xin Hall, looking at the person on the bed, still in a coma. After waking up, Qian Jue Se had been taken away by Zhou Gonggong, and Mo Mo let Chen Yu take Xuan Huo to the inner room.
"Master, you're also very tired these two days, go to sleep, I'll call you if there's anything." Chen Yu closed the door and left Mo a quiet room. The sudden events of the past few days had already exhausted her, and she fell asleep as soon as she touched the pillow.
"Go away!" MoMo, who was in a deep sleep, was woken up by the familiar voice outside the door.
"The master is resting, let's talk about it later." Chen Yu blocked the door, Han Lin reached out to grab Chen Yu's clothes and pulled him back. But unexpectedly, Chen Yu turned around and grabbed Han Lin, throwing him out. Han Lin spun and landed steadily, re-examining the black-clothed youth.
"Who are you?" Han Lin rose up his inner power, preparing for a great battle. Because apart from his good friend Li Si Xing, Han Lin had yet to meet an opponent.
"Who are you again?" Chen Yu impatiently stared at the person in front of him.
"I am Mo Mo's husband!"
"The master is indeed Mr. Xiao Ran. Don't try to deceive me."
Han Lin still wanted to argue when Mo Mo suddenly opened the door and interrupted them. "Enough, Han Lin come in."
"Hmm!" Han Lin stepped across the threshold. Chen Yu turned back, glanced at him slantingly, wanting to say something but restrained himself. He closed the door with a bang.
"Momo" was pounced on by Hanlin and pinned to the bed. "Momo, who is he?" Not a hint of relaxation in his tone. Momo didn't even bother pushing him away. "He says he's my servant."
"Who is that Xiao Ran?" Han Lin rubbed his neck and narrowed his eyes to stare at Mo Mo's face.
"I don't know either." Mo Mo replied while hugging. Thinking of Han Lin by the water's edge, she couldn't help but be nice to him.
"How could you not know? Isn't he your husband?" Han Lin felt the hand on his back, his heart racing with excitement, but on the surface, he still pretended to be wronged, his eyes misty as he said "Then what am I?"
"You...are!" Mo Mo turned his head away in embarrassment.
Han Lin's eyes lit up, and she turned her face to face him directly. "What am I? Speak clearly!" In Mo Mo's black-and-white distinct eyes, the gradually clear small figure made Han Lin excited.
"When he... Mo Mo's eyes met Han Lin's eager gaze, it was as if she had been scalded, wanting to turn her head, but her face was grasped by someone. She could only shift her gaze elsewhere."
"Whose?" Han Lin made a gesture as if he wanted to kiss her, Mo Mo dodged, and his lips landed on her temple.
Seeing Mo Mo still not making a sound, Han Lin asked again "Whose husband am I?" Han Lin released Mo Mo's face, grasped Mo Mo's hands, and intertwined their fingers. Placing them on her head. Looking at the person below with a red, blood-drained face, he couldn't help but want to kiss her again.
Mo Mo lifted her hot face to look at Han Lin, her eyes filled with a pair of charming eyes and two elegant eyebrows. Gradually, the image of that nameless octagonal pavilion flashed in her mind, where a person stood facing the wind, their dark clothes fluttering in the breeze, their sharp eyes closed, their handsome sword-shaped eyebrows flying into their temples, their hand grasping the hilt of their sword hanging by their side... Suddenly, she felt a shock! Why did she think of Li Si Xiang?
The face getting closer and closer made Mo have a kind of invisible pressure, struggling out of Hanlin's arms. Turning over to press Hanlin under his body, pulling out his hand, getting out of bed.
"What's wrong?" Han Lin sat up, looking at Mo who had suddenly lost her enthusiasm, with a puzzled expression. "Mo?" Han Lin adjusted his clothes, got out of bed and turned Mo around to face him. "Mo, is there something you can't tell me?"
"There's nothing to it, don't think too much." Mo Mo reached out and gently touched Han Lin's face, smiling at him. Han Lin slowly wrapped his arms around Mo Mo, holding him close.
She buried her face in his chest, smelling the faint scent of grass, quietly listening to his steady heartbeat. Mo Mo thought back to that nameless night, those bright black eyes. She slightly shook her head, trying to shake off Li Wu Ye from her mind. Han Lin grasped the back of her head, pressing it towards his chest, "Mo Mo, now, you're only allowed to think of me!"
"Mm." A barely audible hum of a response. "Hanlin, I think I'll take a nap now."
"Good." Holding Mo Mo again and putting her back on the bed, covering her with a quilt, and lying down beside her in his clothes, watching her fall asleep.
"Meow~~" The official jumped onto the bed, walked lightly to Momo's side, lay down, hugged his own tail, raised his head, and looked at Hanlin with dark blue eyes. He stood up, stretched out his front paws, arched his back again, swung his tail, and lightly jumped between Momo and Hanlin, lying down again, using his tail to sweep against Hanlin's chin. Hanlin caught him, pressing him under his hand. The official half-opened his blue eyes, looking at Hanlin who was also narrowing his eyes, staring at each other.
Suddenly, the official's eyes widened, and Han Lin felt that the surrounding scenery was like ripples on water. When it stopped, he saw a cherry blossom forest, with four people in it. One of them sat on the ground, wearing white clothes, with an ancient zither on his legs, playing a melodious tune, one person accompanied him with a flute, and two people danced gracefully. The cherry blossoms in the sky all seemed to have come to life, fluttering and dancing along with the dance steps...
The jade pendant on the flute is so familiar! Han Lin's heart skipped a beat, staring intently at the scene in front of him without blinking, but saw a person dancing with a water sleeve lightly flicking, blocking his line of sight. Han Lin, who had intended to ignore the person in front of him, narrowed his eyes slightly when he saw her. Because what he saw was Mo Mo!
Her mind was racing, wondering how the ancestral spiritual object could appear together with Mo in the illusory realm. The official had already closed his eyes and fallen asleep.
Han Lin wanted to know what happened later, so he picked up the cat and forced it to open its eyes. The cat reluctantly opened its dark blue eyes, which had an unusually cold glint in them. Han Lin shivered with cold.
Next, Han Lin did not see the scene he wanted to see, but a large mansion in the sky full of blood, with corpses all over the ground. In the corner, a little boy's hand was holding a large jade pendant, and the originally light gray hair was covered in fresh blood... The eyes full of terror sparkled with tears.
