Chapter 15: The Slaughterhouse Kitchen

  Chapter Fifteen: The Butcher's Kitchen

When it was time to go downstairs at night, the little policeman had completely collapsed, his eyes were filled with tears, and he didn't say a word. Zhang Wei felt even more chilled when he saw this. These children had all been dead for some time. Some of them had an iron hook pierced through the back of their heads, and several of them were missing legs or hands. When the wind blew, the dozen or so corpses swayed gently. "What is this place?" Ye Wen asked, opening a large freezer by chance, and he was also shocked. Inside the freezer, there were rows of arms and legs of different sizes, and several small heads had been frozen with frost on their faces. Several small bags contained tiny hearts. Look! Zhen Zhen opened a pot on the stove and shouted loudly. Ye Wen looked over and felt his scalp tingle. In each large iron pot, a one-year-old infant was being stewed. No one had taken care of them for several days, and the flesh on their bodies had already fallen off, floating on the surface of the soup. Some slices of ginger, scallions, and other seasonings were stuck to the child's face. The small face that should have been tender was now a skeleton, shaking with each movement of the pot. Next to the pot was a large steamer basket, and at the top layer, an infant less than one foot long lay flat inside, its flesh having been steamed until it was cooked through, then cooled, causing its skin to shrink and turn black.

"This...this..." Huang San asked, tears already welling up in his eyes; "Is this the kind of society we live in?!! Ah!" "These evil chefs, they deserve to die!" Zhang Wei shouted, his eyes blazing with anger. "Sigh, if there's no business, then there's no killing, no one will eat, and no one will do it." A vengeful spirit slowly crawled out of the refrigerator, its mouth twisted in a mixture of smile and cry. From the steamer basket, more vengeful spirits emerged, slowly surrounding the group. Trouble is brewing! Ye Wen said lightly; "Everyone, stand still where you are, don't move." Zhang Wei turned around and asked; "Why? I want to go back and kill those guys one by one!" "I'm afraid you won't be able to get out!" Ye Wen smiled bitterly, his hands moving in a mysterious pattern; "Heaven and earth are dark, sun and moon have no light, lend me your power, quickly open the gates of yin and yang!" The magic spell transformed and simultaneously landed on the foreheads of several people. When they opened their eyes again, over a dozen vengeful spirits of different shapes were slowly crawling at their feet, grabbing onto their pant legs and climbing up!

"What the...!" Zhang Wei cried out in terror, lifting his leg to try and shake off the vengeful spirit. But no matter how he struggled, the spirit continued to crawl on him without being affected. These were the condensed resentment of children who had been killed.

Night asked picked up a small vengeful spirit from under his foot and placed it on his shoulder, saying; "Don't be afraid, as long as you haven't eaten any infants, they won't harm you." But I...I...I can't guarantee that. Zhang Wei's face changed; who knows if that bastard had put a few pieces of infant flesh in our food when we were eating.

Night asked gently stroked the vengeful spirit in his arms and said; "Who made you guys go around eating and drinking under the guise of official business? You deserve it." "Ahh!" Just then, a police officer suddenly shouted loudly. At that moment, all the vengeful spirits seemed to receive some kind of signal and immediately turned ferocious.

They pounced on the small police officer like a swarm of bees. As soon as they made contact with him, they burrowed into his body. The police officer's eyes began to glaze over, and he walked to the chopping board, slowly picking up a cleaver. "Plop!" With one merciless chop, he cut off his own thigh, and a large chunk of flesh fell to the ground, exposing white bone and tendons amidst the blood.

"Xiao Yang!" Zhang Wei rushed forward but was held back by Night asked. "Why aren't you saving him?" Zhang Wei shouted. "What's there to save?" Night asked coldly; "Do you think he accidentally ate it? With so many vengeful spirits on his body, how many times do you think he 'accidentally' ate?"

"What do you mean?" "This guy has eaten at least ten times or more!" Night asked said, gritting his teeth; "I suspect he might even be involved." "How could Xiao Yang be involved?" Zhang Wei was confused; "He's just a small clerk, what could he possibly have to do with it?"

"Maybe it's his family..." A police officer standing next to Night asked whispered; "I remember his older brother works at the hospital..."

For a whole hour, under the gaze of several people, Xiao Yang almost scraped off all the meat on his body, and his white intestines were also cut into pieces. As they watched the vengeful spirit slowly disappear from Xiao Yang's body, the others finally began to relax. "What do we do now?" Zhang Wei was clearly frightened. "Let's wait, once the flesh-eaters are all dead, their resentment will also disappear." "And what about us?" "You're on your own." Ye Xun said irresponsibly as he climbed up; "If these people don't die soon, the longer it takes, the more anxious and angry the vengeful spirit will become, and you'll be implicated too." "Can't we think of a way to..." Zhang Wei whispered; "But if things get out of hand, it might cause chaos." "You can only blame yourselves for not doing things efficiently," Ye Xun muttered as he turned his head; "Humans have already become like this, it's better to die sooner rather than later. If necessary, I will..."

Several days later, there were reports of people dying in suspicious circumstances. Witnesses revealed that the deceased had either lost all their skin or been scalded to death by boiling water, with a particularly terrifying appearance. Another person even cooked their own flesh into a dish for their family to eat. A hospital was also shut down and several pediatricians were arrested on charges of intentional homicide and executed by firing squad. At a crematorium, an attendant was arrested for dereliction of duty resulting in the disfigurement or disappearance of corpses, and committed suicide in his cell that night for unknown reasons. What's even stranger is that a nearby baozi shop suddenly closed its doors, leaving many people baffled as to why it would do so despite being very popular. Several days later, an unidentified corpse was found outside the province and was approved for cremation on the same day.

The entire city was oppressed by a series of unexplained deaths, and the authorities did not come out to give an explanation to the public. Instead, TV stations, newspapers, and other information channels all made morality their theme. However, before long, someone broke the news that there were cases of people eating infants, and baozi shops selling human flesh buns, causing the already oppressed city to suddenly fall into a state of panic. To the point where if you saw a child walking alone on the street, you would be scared away, and baozi shops closed down in droves.

PS: Up to this chapter, the human flesh incident can be considered over. Perhaps some of you may feel that it's not scary enough. As mentioned earlier, real events are not terrifying, but rather thought-provoking. From now on, we will begin the true meaning of this book. If you like horror or comedy genres, please leave a message above. I still have dozens of true stories in hand, and I originally wanted to write them all out one by one. However, some friends left messages saying that as long as it's exciting, they'd rather read fake stories, but not too over-the-top. This puts me in a bit of a dilemma. Of course, if you all like it, I'll do my best. You decide the authenticity and style of the following content. Once again, to summarize, the vengeful spirit sisters, the snake spirit, the red school, and the cannibalism incident are all true events that have been modified with changes in time and location names. I hope you won't just read without commenting; what I need is your clicks and likes. As for VIP treatment, I won't be so presumptuous...
