Twenty-One Curses of Ancient Tombs

  Twenty-One Curses of Ancient Tombs

Su Yingzhen had already sensed that something was amiss, she rushed up to try and stop him, her body passing through Wu's vengeful spirit. Wu, completely unaware, could it be that he and she were in two different spaces?

Three family servants looked at Hui in a fluster as he stepped closer and closer to them. An older servant pulled out a yellow talisman from his body and threw it onto Hui's body, and with a miserable cry, Hui disappeared.

They hastily pushed open the wooden door and ran into the vast darkness of night.

Su Yingzhen waited in the tomb for a while, but didn't see Wu Xian appear. Suddenly reacting, she hastily exited the tomb and saw two people lying on the ground - those two house servants, who had already stopped breathing. Their wide-open eyes still showed fear, their twisted faces were terrifyingly ferocious.

There were clearly three servants, so why was one missing? Had he been let off? Su Yingzhen's mind was full of question marks as she arrived at the ancient and elegant mansion. Suddenly, she noticed a stone tablet next to the courtyard with the words "Li Village" written on it, and realized that this used to be Huaihua Village.

As she walked into the courtyard, a middle-aged woman shouted at her: "Chunxiang, you're lazy when called to do something. Go, take the ginseng soup to the old lady in the kitchen." Su Yingzhen looked around in confusion, but there was no one there.

That middle-aged woman was somewhat annoyed: "What are you looking around for?"

Was she being called? Su Yingzhen's mind was shrouded in confusion, and when she glanced at the lotus pond beside her, she found that she had transformed into a maid! She was shocked beyond measure, and just then, a furious shout pierced her ears: "Still not moving!" The woman had somehow appeared before her, her eyes blazing with anger as she glared at Su Yingzhen.

She hastily went to the kitchen to fetch the soup and walked towards the old lady's room. It was strange, how did she become so familiar with this place?

As she passed through the garden, she saw that escaped servant sitting in a clump of flowers with his head bowed and motionless, just like... Her heart skipped a beat, thick dark clouds pressing down on her head.

A maid approached that servant: "The old lady is asking you something. Where did the two servants who went out with you yesterday go?"

That household slave suddenly lifted his head, his eyes flashing with resentment and anger, bellowing: "Why do you want to harm me! Why!" He opened his mouth and took a vicious bite on the arm of that maid, thick black blood flowing out. The maid let out a pained "ah" cry, the terror in her eyes flashing by, replaced by hatred.

The dark clouds in Su Yingzhen's heart grew thicker and more oppressive, making it hard for her to breathe.

An old woman came over and said to the maid: "Qiuju, go water the flowers."

The maid's willow eyebrows shot up, and she said viciously: "You don't have hands yourself?"

The old woman was furious and slapped her in the face. The girl grabbed her hand, glared at her with angry eyes that were as sharp as knives, making the old woman tremble involuntarily and want to escape.

Qiu Ju grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the stone, again and again. Brain matter and blood splattered all over her body and face. She grinned savagely, using her fingers to scoop up the brain matter on her face and savor it with relish. The servant also ran over and crouched down to lick up the fresh blood.

Su Yingzhen's eyes turned black, and the ginseng soup in her hand fell to the ground with a loud crash, startling the two blood-licking men. They walked towards her step by step with mechanical steps.

Su Yingzhen sprinted all the way, running into a room. "Bang." The door closed behind her, she leaned weakly against the door, covered in sweat, her heart racing so fast it hurt.

"What's the hurry? So unruly! Old Lady Zhou is advanced in years, yet she doesn't even know how to discipline you bunch of wild girls!" A stern and aged voice was saying from inside the house.

Su Yingzhen looked intently and saw an old lady reclining on a couch, with a young maid kneeling on the ground, massaging her legs. The little maid turned around and smiled slightly at her, but that smile seemed to hide another face.

Su Yingzhen only felt dizzy and disoriented... When she came to, the old lady was no longer on the bed. She looked around in terror, her eyes falling on the table beside her. The old lady had been stuffed entirely into a flower vase, her white-haired head exposed outside, a pair of dead eyes staring straight at her, as if glaring directly at her. Su Yingzhen felt a chill run down her spine, turned her head away, and didn't dare look again. She let out a loud cry and fled out the door.

In front of her, a figure flashed by, it was Yu! Su Ying Zhen's heart was clearly frightened to death, but she involuntarily chased after him, as if it was her mission that she had to do, and big drops of sweat kept rolling down.

Hui flashed into a room and disappeared. Su Yingzhen hesitated outside the door for a moment, forcing herself to calm down, and pushed open the door with a frightened heart.

"What are you doing?" A young woman's voice rang out, and Su Yingzhen was so frightened that her heart almost jumped out. In the dim light, the green-clothed woman was staring at her sternly. Suddenly, feeling a sense of danger behind her back, the woman who was called Young Madam's face changed drastically, and she turned around in terror, only to see Ah Hui standing right behind her, glaring at her with eyes that seemed to be bleeding. Young Madam was as if under a spell, completely unable to move.

Su Yingzhen risked her life to grab the young lady's hand and dragged her towards the door, a gust of cold wind blew over their heads, the young lady shivered visibly, her legs softened, and she fell with a thud at the doorway. The door slammed shut with a loud bang, blocking out the bright spring light, trapping the eerie terror inside.

The young woman's whole body trembled, grasping Su Yingzhen tightly as if holding onto a life-saving straw, crying out: "What to do? What to do?" Suddenly she stopped moving, her two eyes staring blankly and terrified at something behind her.

Su Yingzhen didn't need to turn around to know that it was Wu who was behind her. Summoning courage from somewhere, she picked up a stool and smashed it against the window frame, but the paper-covered wooden window was as unyielding as a copper wall or an iron fortress.

With a cold smile, he stepped closer and closer, putting a knife into the young lady's hand, their bodies overlapping.

The young woman's eyes became hazy, and she began to cut off the flesh on her body piece by piece with a knife, just like... lingchi. A chilling smile spread from the corner of her mouth.

Su Ying's eyes turned black and she fainted again. When she came to, the meat slices were neatly arranged in front of her, and the intestines were stacked like folded clothes. Su Ying was so scared that her whole body went soft, and with all her might, she got up and rushed towards the door. Her foot slipped on something round and smooth, and she fell to the ground. The young mistress's head rolled into her line of sight, her tightly closed eyes suddenly opened, and glared at her with malice.

Su Yingzhen stumbled out, the ancient courtyard was filled with cries and fighting sounds, people's grievances accumulated over time seemed to have all burst out, extremely evil mutual slaughter, as if the end of the world had arrived.

How can the light be so gloomy? Su Yingzhen raised her head, and the dark clouds in the sky were like turbulent waves roaring and rolling, as if they wanted to swallow up the world.

Who was calling out in the distance? Su Yingzhen turned her head back... and saw Xue Pinhan's anxious face before her eyes.

All the way, she was in a coma. People who had lost too much blood would find it difficult to wake up once they fell asleep. So all the way, Xue Pinhan kept calling out to her, seeing her wake up, his heart slightly settled, and he whispered softly in her ear: "Don't sleep, hold on for a little while longer, we'll be at the hospital soon."

Su Yingzhen couldn't help but want to laugh, the usual expressionless face that pretended to be a zombie actually had such a warm side, it was too much. The corners of his mouth hadn't even curved into an upward arc when he felt a wave of dizzying pain from the wound.

The bullet grazed her heart and the wound was very serious, every slight movement made her sweat profusely. Su Yingzhen lay alone in the hospital bed, while Xue Pinhan and others went to Li Suo's home because Su Yingzhen felt that his house should have a silver bottle, otherwise, it would be impossible to explain the mystery of Li Huan's missing body.

In a daze, the sound of running water came from the bathroom. Who was inside? She opened her eyes alertly, and the sound disappeared. After waiting for a while without any movement, she fell asleep again, and the sound started again, crystal clear. Su Yingzhen opened her eyes once more, her face gloomy, and all around was silent once more.

She was somewhat afraid, as if something terrible was waiting for her.

The door creaked open for no reason, and then slammed shut again. She couldn't lie down anymore, so she suddenly sat up in bed, but used too much force, causing the wound to tear open, a searing pain that made her feel blood oozing out.

Su Yingzhen painfully put her foot on the ground, feeling something lightly touching the back of her foot. Was it a mouse? How could there be mice in the hospital? She looked down and saw that on the shiny surface of her foot, there was a small amount of pus that was not easily noticeable. She touched it with her finger, brought it to her nose and smelled it, and a foul odor rushed straight up to her brain, making her feel so nauseous she wanted to vomit.

Su Yingzhen stood up with a pained expression and inadvertently discovered that outside the window, dark clouds were rolling in, seemingly hiding a devil's face that was smiling at him.

She was lost in thought, when the bathroom again echoed with a frightening sound of running water. Her heart rose to her throat, her scalp felt numb, and she slowly moved towards the bathroom, holding her breath, nervously preparing to push open the door. From inside came faint footsteps, slowly approaching her. She raised her hand stiffly in mid-air as the door opened by itself. Out walked a person - it was the fortune teller.

"What are you doing here?" Su Yingzhen asked guardedly.

The nun looked at her in surprise, her face now very pale: "It was Officer Xue who asked me to take care of you."

Su Yingzhen let out a long sigh and turned towards the bed, but suddenly smelled a strong stench, a thick and pungent smell.
