Ancient Tomb Resentment Curse Nine

  Ancient Tomb Curse Nine

Li Shuo suddenly turned his head back with a loud shout. Behind him was a dark shadow. Upon closer inspection, it was his old partner.

"What's wrong?" The old companion turned on the light and looked at him with a cold sweat, worriedly saying: "Are you still worried?"

  Li Shouzhang nodded solemnly.

"Maybe he won't look for you, should have looked earlier."

"No! It must be! Not just me, maybe the whole village." Li Suo Chang said in despair.

  "What should I do?"

"I don't know." Li sighed and asked, "By the way, how's the Buddhist ritual at the temple going?"

"You didn't ask, and I wouldn't dare tell you, but today's Buddhist ceremony was really strange. The master was halfway through reciting the scriptures when the wooden fish suddenly flew up and hit his head, causing a huge bump. The master was so scared that he went limp all over and refused to continue."

Li Shouzhang listened, his eyes fixed straight ahead, and after a long while, he said: "No matter what happens to me, don't mention those things to anyone else. I'm not worth saving, as long as the children are doing well."

The old man nodded with tears in his eyes, turned off the light and went back to bed. His wife murmured Buddha's name unclearly in her mouth, gradually falling asleep. It was unknown whether it was due to the Buddha's name or not, but Li Suo's heart was no longer as fearful as before. Just as he was about to fall into a daze, he suddenly felt an inexplicable tension, as if some invisible danger was approaching him.

He "slapped" on the bedside lamp, and the whole room was shrouded in a dim yellow light.

It seemed like something was flickering at the corner of his eye. He turned to look, and the curtains were dancing in the wind. He let out a long sigh, thinking he was being too paranoid.

Wait! The doors and windows are all closed tightly, where did the wind come from?

Fear once again took a firm hold of Director Li's heart.

He sprang up from the bed, pulled out a gun from under his pillow, and suddenly lifted the curtains. There was nothing behind them. The curtains fell back down quietly.

Li Shouzhang secretly let out a sigh of relief and was about to get back into bed when he suddenly discovered... that he had two shadows!

There is one, but it's not his!

He suddenly reached out and pressed down hard on the shadow's neck. The shadow struggled for a few moments, then stopped moving and disappeared.

He said in a low and menacing tone: "I can make you die once, I can make you die twice, so get out of my sight!"

After waiting for a while, without seeing any movement, Director Li finally let out a sigh of relief, reached out to turn off the light, but before his hand even touched it, it went out by itself.

  It's pitch black all around.

He slowly moved in the darkness. His hand touched the wall. The wall was cold and dry, not like the walls of his own home, but rather...

In his fright, he thrust upwards with a spear and the lamp suddenly lit up. Director Li found himself still at home, pressing down on his heart which was still jumping wildly. He turned off the light and went to sleep.

He had just lain down when a black shadow flashed and pressed on his body. He struggled to resist, holding the gun tightly against the black shadow's chest, pulling the trigger, and a crisp gunshot echoed in the dead of night.

  The black shadow slowly disappeared.

Li Shouzhang hastily turned on the light, and that loud gunshot, how could his partner not make any noise? His throat rolled a few times, suppressing the fear in his heart, and he suddenly flipped over the person behind him. What entered his eyes was... him!

He unhesitatingly aimed at his heart "bang, bang, bang" and fired three shots in a row, splashing blood all over his face and body.

Xue Pinhan and his group suddenly burst open the door, a strong smell of blood rushed to their faces, Su Yingzhen retched several times.

Li Shouzhang sat on the bed with a dull expression, his old partner lay on the bed covered in blood.

Xue Pinhan rushed to the bedside in one swift motion, examined the injured person, and found that she was already dead.

"What's going on?" Su Yingzhen asked Li Suo Chang, but he pretended not to hear.

The shrill sound of police sirens pierced the quiet night sky, making people's hair stand on end. The forensic team sprang into action.

At dawn, the result was presented in front of the Criminal Investigation Team. Li's wife was shot and killed by the bullets from his own gun, with three shots hitting her vital organs.

"What's going on with the three shots? Did the forensic team make a mistake? There were clearly five fewer bullets in the magazine." Dong Yiqi exclaimed, looking at the report.

"What the witness group said is true, there were indeed only three bullets on Director Li's wife's body." Xue Pinhan said.

"What happened to the other two shots?"

"In Director Li's bedroom. It should have been shot out before the three shots were fired. We immediately returned to Director Li's house." Xue Pinhan led the way and rushed out.

A group of people searched every corner of the bedroom but found nothing. Dong Yi Qi said disappointedly, "Boss, did you get it wrong?"

Xue Pinhan didn't make a sound, his eyes still scanning around. Suddenly he pointed at the ceiling: "Look! What's that?"

On the snow-white ceiling there were two small black holes. A bullet was firmly embedded inside.

"Really got a bullet! Head, how did you know?"

According to the forensic report, the three bullets were fatal, indicating that Li wanted to kill the person he hated or feared most. If it was the person he hated most, he wouldn't have chosen to take action when we were at his house; first of all, his wife would not be the person he hated most, so why did he end up killing her? There can only be one explanation: what he saw was not his wife, but the person who terrified him. Therefore, the bullets must have been aimed at that person.

"That's not a person, it's a ghost," Su Yingzhen said: "Li Suo is afraid of only ghosts. Moreover, people can't appear on the ceiling, and what's most suspicious is that we only heard three gunshots, why didn't we hear the other two? It means that thing doesn't want us to hear."

"Besides, Director Li has been a policeman for so many years, he must be very strong-minded. He absolutely wouldn't mistakenly identify his own wife in a panic. There's only one explanation - that thing caused him to hallucinate. The culprit we're looking for now is a ghost." Xue Pinhan added.

Everyone stopped talking, staring blankly at each other, a strange and eerie presence quietly closing in on them...

Everyone took a temporary nap until dawn and didn't gather again until 9 o'clock the next day.

"Now, let's just treat these cases as paranormal events." Xue Pinhan looked at Su Yingzhen: "Do you have any leads?"

"Except for knowing that all the deceased were from Huaihua Village, nothing was gained." She said listlessly, and suddenly became spirited: "I may have found a solution to resolve it!"

"What plan?" four mouths asked simultaneously.

Su Ying looked at Xue Pinhan with a pleased expression, while he pretended to be nonchalant and turned his face away.

"Let's investigate the people who left Huaihua Village to see if anything happened to them. If nothing happened, it means that the supernatural phenomenon only occurs among the people currently living in Huaihua Village. In that case, we just need to get everyone in the village to move out and the curse will be lifted."

"What a great idea! I didn't think of that! Wow, wisdom and beauty coexist! Zhenzhen, are you an expert in the supernatural?" Dong Yiqi flattered.

"Nope, just random guessing." Su Yingzhen waved her hands repeatedly.

Shen Zhiyuan heard him shouting Su Yingzhen called Zhenzhen's face turned green with anger: "Is it really you who shouted?"

"Cut the crap," Xue Pinhan jumped out and shouted: "Shen Zhiyuan, you're in charge of checking if there are any recent abnormal deaths among those who left Huaihua Village. Su Yingzhen and Dong Yiqi form a group, I'll go with Old Yang to visit the villagers and see if we can dig up some clues."

"What right does he have to work with Zhenzhen while I'm alone in a group?" Shen Zhīyuǎn shouted: "This is unfair!"

Xue Pinhan looked at him with a slight headache: "There's only you who is a computer expert here, who else can I ask to go online?"

Su Yingzhen and Dong Yiqi arrived in the small town. Dong Yiqi sniffed her all over: "Yingzhen, you haven't changed your clothes for days, it's really stinky."

Su Yingzhen lifted her arm and sniffed under her armpit, indeed smelling a strong odor. She gave him a white eye and said: "You are all old slippery fish, going out to prepare for changing clothes, I just came, don't know if there is a task, naturally didn't prepare, one set of clothes worn from top to bottom."

"I'll lend you a set when I get back."

  "Yuck!"

In the town, there was a small clothing store with only a narrow opening that could barely fit one person sideways. Su Yingzhen squeezed in sideways and found some old-fashioned dresses inside. As she browsed, she asked the owner, "Boss, doing business is all about opening up big, so that wealth can flow in abundantly. What's the point of leaving only a small gap like this?"

"Miss, you don't know, it's been a custom here since ancient times, called blocking evil spirits. When the door is wide open, evil spirits come in and disaster follows. Haven't you seen that Huaihua Village still plants huai flowers? That's also to ward off disasters."

"What's the point of blocking it? How can we block it?" Su Ying asked in confusion.

"When the pagoda tree flowers bloom, the whole village is covered in white snow. Doesn't it look like we're mourning and wearing funeral attire? This way, with evil spirits blocked, everything will be safe."

Su Yingzhen and Dong Yiqi exchanged a glance, countless question marks hovering above their heads...
