Chapter 1: The Haunted Yōlin (Part 1)
The Ox-Headed Monster burst into a mad laughter after hearing Guo Mohan's voice filled with anger, his crimson eyes seeming like two blazing flames.
It let out a loud roar and swung the Five-Colored Stone Pillar in its hand, charging fiercely towards Guo Mohan.
Guo Mohan unexpectedly remained still, and a hint of unprecedented killing intent appeared in his eyes, which were as cold as a desolate forest.
The five-colored stone pillar danced in the hands of the Ox-Headed Demon, forming a magnificent light wheel that surged towards Guo Mohan with overwhelming momentum. Guo Mohan's expression remained unchanged as he gently stroked the head of his companion, muttering some sort of incantation under his breath.
Under her caress, Jiaonang underwent a strange transformation. Its weak and small body was constantly condensed under the catalysis of this spell, and the blue demonic energy on its body also spread into the air, swirling around. Just as the large light wheel of the Five Light Stone Pillar was about to hit Guo Mohan, Jiaonang's two eyes turned a deep blue like ice, flashing out a dazzling evil light. The strong blue light overpowered the brilliance of the Five Light Stone Pillar, enveloping Guo Mohan's body.
"Condensed Demon Art - Vengeful Infant's Netherworld Sword."
"Yaojiao technique? She can actually use this spell that can temporarily mimic the techniques of a Yaojiao master." Ding Lingxiu was taken aback, and the smoke almost fell from his mouth.
After the light faded, a bone sword with a dark blue body appeared in Guo Mohan's hand. The Five Light Pillar's oppressive aura arrived, and Guo Mohan grasped the sword with both hands. A cold glow flashed, and the demonic fire from the scabbard tore through the air, emitting an ear-piercing hissing sound. Although the bone sword was not as sturdy as the Five Light Pillar, this demonic energy's power was astonishing. The Bull Headed Monster only felt its wrist tremble, and its tiger mouth stung. The Five Light Pillar had unexpectedly flown out of its hand and crashed towards Ding Lingxiu's position with a loud bang.
Ding Lingxiu hastily flipped over and dodged, but all of this happened too quickly, and he was still affected by the power of the five-colored stone pillar. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he felt a shock in front of him, his stomach churning with nausea, and it was clear that he had fallen under the spell of the five-colored stone pillar. In an instant, the surroundings were filled with all sorts of colorful lights, and Ding Lingxiu only felt that his vision was darkening, his body as weak as cotton, stumbling and falling to the ground.
Guo Mohan didn't hesitate, taking advantage of the moment when the Ox-Headed Monster's weapon was out of its hand. With a single horizontal slash, the Ox-Headed Monster leapt back to dodge, and the Yuanying Sword sliced through the air in vain. Guo Mohan pursued fiercely, striking relentlessly. The figure in white rose up with a flutter, his footsteps changing as swiftly as lightning, his sharp sword slicing horizontally and diagonally.
Ding Lingyu had already lost all sense of direction, his mouth was dry and bitter, he could only grit his teeth and endure the dizzy feeling, using his hands to fiercely grasp the ground, with great difficulty crawling out of the range of the Wu Guang stone pillar's magic. Only then did he shakily stand up, but in his ears it still felt like someone was beating a drum next to him, buzzing loudly.
I thought this Minotaur's power was quite overbearing, and even if it was knocked flying, its weapon wouldn't fall behind. But unexpectedly, as soon as the Five-Colored Stone Pillar left its hand, this Minotaur suddenly became only able to dodge and evade, not daring to contend with Guo Mohan at all. Its blood-red eyes also lost their bloody glow, even becoming somewhat terrified.
While the demon dressed as a magician, who was eating cake on the side, also became unsettled. She took a glance at the battlefield and found that the Minotaur was already in a very passive state, whereas Guo Mohan was becoming more courageous with each passing moment, moving about freely like an ancient female knight who had experienced countless battles, her white clothes fluttering as she danced elegantly, her bone sword moving effortlessly in her hand. She even poked through the Minotaur's nose ring, which fell off, and a pool of blood formed on the ground. The demon dressed as a magician walked down from the tiger skin chair, holding a plate and hopping towards the battlefield.
She came up behind Niu Tou Guai, with a spoon in her mouth, and asked casually:
"Hey, Brother Cow, do you want to help out?"
Only to see the cow-headed monster at this time facing Guo Mohan's continuous attacks, already exhausted from responding, he turned his head with difficulty and shouted loudly:
"Nonsense, of course, hurry up and release my demonic power."
The wizard-like monster scratched his head and thought for a moment before saying:
"Heh heh, are you sure? Your demonic energy has already absorbed quite a bit of that Taoist's internal elixir!"
The Minotaur was already beside itself, hysterically shouting out:
"Hurry up, hurry up, quickly release my demonic power!"
But in this moment of distraction, Guo Mohan's resentful and mournful sword had already reached the chest of the Ox-Headed Monster, and a blue flame suddenly burst forth. The Ox-Headed Monster only felt an intense heat all over its body, as if it was being scorched by a searing pain that pierced to the bone, spreading throughout its entire body.
"Ugly monster, go die!" Guo Mohan shouted angrily.
Her icy gaze was as cold as dark ice, and she raised the resentful and mournful sword to strike directly at the heart of the Ox-Headed Demon.
At this moment, the magician-like monster actually took out the soul-gathering ball from a large iron box under the tiger skin chair and began to rub its surface with both hands. The cold, eerie patterns inside the soul-gathering ball started to change, and lines of yellowish light spots slowly gathered into the magician's hand. It extracted this yellowish evil energy from the soul-gathering ball. As soon as this evil energy broke free from the soul-gathering ball's restraint, it shot into the body of the ox-headed monster like a ball of ghostly fire.
At this time, Guo Mohan's sword broke through the air and stabbed into the Bull Head Monster's skin by half an inch.
Ding Lingxiu's consciousness became slightly clearer, and upon seeing the movements of the magical creature, he couldn't help but exclaim in surprise:
"So that's how it is. No wonder the demon-seeking compass didn't react at all. They actually stored all the demonic energy in the spirit-gathering orb, how cunning."
At the same time, the Xun Yao Luopan finally reacted and displayed the attributes of the cow-headed monster in front of him:
Demon Name: Huang Niu
Rank: Elite
Weakness: Blood-sucking insects
Just as Ding Lingyu was looking at the Xun Yao Luopan, the Huang Niu Jing who was facing off against Guo Mohan had condensed back its demon energy, and its body underwent a strange transformation. The human clothes it wore were all torn apart, revealing the powerful muscles inside, its eyes turned blood red once again, and the sharp horns on its head grew twice as large.
It tightly grasped the Guo Mohan's resentful infant's dark sword, and the blue flames seemed to have no effect on it at this time. The demon elite was a level higher than the demon, although only two words were different, but its strength was vastly different. The yellow bull spirit angrily hit its nose, and the nostrils that were stabbed by the sword still flowed with fresh blood. It pulled hard, and the resentful infant's dark sword was pulled out from the thick cowhide.
Guo Mohan only heard a crisp crackling sound from his wrist, and he fell to the ground with a thud, his sword slipping from his grasp.
The yellow bull spirit said angrily:
"Haha, stinky girls, you were just full of energy and wanted to kill me, now let's see how you handle my wrath."
This pair of eyes, red and fierce, glared at Guo Mohan with gritted teeth, using brute force to twist the resentful sword in his hand. The resentful sword was already making a cracking sound under this powerful force, and the demonic energy around him was experiencing intense turbulence, as if it was about to dissipate.
Guo Mohan's face was unwilling, but he had no way to loosen his grip on the Yuanyang sword, because Jiao Nang was only temporarily transformed into a sword shape under Guo Mohan's curse. Once he let go, losing Guo Mohan's control, Jiao Nang would likely lose all his demonic powers in a short period of time and be crushed to powder by Huangniu Jing in an instant. And at this point, even if the curse was lifted, the result would be the same.
Ding Lingxiu wanted to go and help, but found that his two legs were still disconnected from his consciousness, as if they didn't exist on his body. No matter how he thought about moving his two legs, there was no reaction, and every step was difficult.
Ding Lingxiu's forehead was covered in cold sweat as he shouted at Guo Mohan:
"I've been affected by the magic of Wugongshi and can't help you. You must lift the curse quickly, or else you'll all die."
Guo Mohan bit his lip and replied weakly:
"No way, that would get him killed."
"Haha? It will be killed?" Huang Niu Jingxie laughed cruelly, and increased the force in his hand by a few points, saying viciously: "All of you will be killed by me, cooked into meat soup, even the bones will be fed to the stupid dogs outside."
Guo Mohan gritted her teeth, but found that she was completely unable to match the enormous strength of Huang Niu Jing. Her delicate arms had already been shattered, and the demonic flames of Yuanying Youming Sword were also gradually fading away.
Huang Niu Jing, on the other hand, was handling it with ease, as if three more Guo Mohan would still be no match for her. She closed her eyes, unable to think of any other way out, and freed up one hand to reach into her bag to take out the Ling Que Palace Lamp, intending to summon Chi Hong and another demon to join forces.
But unexpectedly, her intention was immediately seen through by Huang Niu Jing. With a loud explosion, Guo Mo Han felt as if his eardrum had been punched, and the sky spun before his eyes, causing him to be stunned into unconsciousness. And Jiao Tong also let out a miserable cry, his demonic energy dispersing wildly, his consciousness unknown.
This is terrible.
Ding Lingxiu stared blankly at all of this, slowly leaned against the wall, and tightly grasped the military dagger in his hand.
